Thirty minutes later the two finally got to Lexa's house, where Lexa had to basically drag Clarke up the steps as fast as possible so her mom wouldn't see how drunk the blonde was.

When they got up to Lexa's room Clarke kissed her as she put her hands under Lexa's shirt.

"No Clarke," Lexa said pushing the blonde away.

"Why no sex with me?"

"Because you're drunk and we're at my house."

"We've had drunk sex before, really, really amazing drunk sex."

"Somethings wrong, you're going through something, and I need you to tell me what is it. Please tell me what it is baby."

"After sex," Clarke said as her hand went to the buttons on Lexa's jeans.

"No Clarke! Sit down, now."

"Bossy sexy Lexy is so hot. I would happily let bossy you top me," Clarke said as she sat down.

"Clarke, can you be serious for a second?" Lexa asked earning a nod from the blonde. "Can you please tell me what's wrong?"

"No, not right now. I don't wanna talk about it."

"Fine, but do you promise to tell me when you're sober."

"Yes, now can we have sex?"

"No, not while your drunk."

"Then I'll just fuck myself, I hope you know I'm serious, I'm not afraid to do it in front of you."

"Yeah, I know," Lexa said as she roll her eyes.

"So sex? Ooo can we use those nipple clamps I got you?"

"No, and definitely no."

"Fine," Clarke said as she started pulling her pants down.

"No," Lexa said putting her hands on Clarke's wrists to stop her.

"Ow! What the hell? Get the fuck off!"

"What? What did I do? Did I hurt you? I- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," Lexa said as she freaked out.

"It's fine, just move."

When Clarke got up she went to the bathroom and locked herself in there. After ten minutes of trying to get Clarke to unlock the door, she gave up. Soon after she started to hear moans coming from the bathroom and sighed as she turned on music to drown out the noise.

She heard a knock on the door a couple of minutes later and started to freak out. When she saw that it was her dad she was less freaked out, but still extremely freaked out.

"Uhh no, I'll come out," Lexa said when her dad tried walking into her room.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he watched her shut the door behind her.

"Yup, yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't know you just seem a little off. Anyway, I was just coming up to ask if you could turn down the music because Aden's about to go to sleep, and if everything was okay with Clarke?"

"No."

"No what?"

"No, I can't turn the music down."

"Why, and why are you acting suspicious?"

"Clarke's here."

"So?"

"I umm, okay I feel really uncomfortable talking to you about this but I guess I have to."

"Yes you do, because you're scaring me."

"So umm something happened with Clarke, I don't know what yet, she hasn't told me. But umm, so she doesn't have the best coping mechanisms."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I've never personally seen it until now, but from what our friends and her have said, basically she drinks and uhh, and has sex...a lot...of both. B- but she hasn't done the sex part since she met me, only drank once when mum kicked her out."

"Oh?"

"Y- yeah."

"Does her mum know about the drinking?"

"Well, I'm not sure to what extent. She knows somewhat and she knows there's no way of stopping her, so if she is going to do either of those things she encourages her to do them at home, you know to do it in the safety of her own home."

"I see, so why can't you turn down the music?"

"So umm, well if I turn the music down, umm," Lexa stuttered as her face became red.

"Just say it Lexa."

"Well, like I said her coping mechanism is drinking and sex, and right now she's extremely drunk, and well she's been trying to have sex but I keep saying no, so she might have locked herself in the bathroom and is umm, well you know."

"No I d- oh wait, never mind."

"Yeah, so I have the music on to drown out any sounds that might be heard," Lexa said as she looked down at the floor awkwardly.

"I- I'm just...I'm just gonna go," Gustus said as he slowly walked back down the hallway. "I guess I'll read another story to Aden or something."

"Good idea."

A little while later Clarke still hadn't come out of the bathroom. Lexa couldn't hear anything so she put her ear up to the door. She wasn't positive she swore she heard the blonde whispering something about hating herself as she cried. Lexa turned off the music and started knocking on the door.

"Hey Clarke, can you unlock the door? Please, Clarke."

Lexa heard a sniffle before hearing Clarke tell her to get away barely above a whisper.

"Clarke, please open the door."

"Leave me alone."

"I need to open the door, I need to make sure your okay."

"I'm fine, if your dad t- whatever your dad told you, just ignore it. I'm fine, I just really wanna be alone right now."

"My dad?" Lexa asked confused, "What do you mean?"

"Nothing, ignore it."

"No, I'm not gonna ignore it. Now either tell me what you mean or I'll go get him."

When Lexa didn't get an answer she ran over to Aden's room and grabbed her dad. When she told him what she thought she might have heard he ran to Lexa's room and started knocking on the door.

"Clarke, open the door." He didn't get an answer so he grabbed a paper clip from Lexa's desk and started trying to unlock the door.

"What are you doing?" Lexa asked confused.

"Unlocking the door," Gustus answered, "I've had a lot of practice from when you were four and locked yourself in almost every room in our old house."

After a couple of tries, the door finally unlocked. He made Lexa stay outside, which she was confused about, but listened.

"Hey Clarke, how are you feeling?" Gustus asked once he shut the door.

"I'm not gonna kill myself so leave me alone."

"Can you tell me what's wrong?"

Clarke shook her head.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?"

Clarke shrugged her shoulders.

"Well, you can. And I'm worried about you, especially after what you told me happened in seventh grade, so I'm not gonna pressure you into talking, but I'm also not leaving till I know you're okay."

"Just leave, I wanna be alone."

"If you won't let Lexa in, you get me instead," Gustus said sitting down on the floor next to her. "I heard about how you deal with stress, you wanna know what I do when I'm stressed?"

Clarke shrugged her shoulders.

"Lexa does the same, she got it from me. We go to the gym, or run, or do yoga."

"Wow, thanks for making me feel like an unhealthy piece of shit."

"That's not what I'm saying. I'm just saying there are other coping mechanisms."

"Well, Lexa got hers from you, I got mine from the dick."

"Who?"

"My father, that's what I call him because he doesn't deserve to be called anything else."

"Oh, well there's still other ways if you don't want to work out. You could talk to someone, or pick up a hobby, you like baking, you could bake."

"Not enough flour."

"What?"

"Not enough flour to bake to cope with what's going on."

"You like music, you could try and write songs about how your feeling."

"Already did, doesn't help."

"You did?"

"Yeah, they're about Lexa."

"I'd love to hear them," Gustus said getting a shrugging. "Okay well, you can still talk. Wanna tell me what's going on?" Gustus asked.

"No," Clarke whispered as she shook her head.

"Then I guess we're just going to sit here in silence."

"Guess so."
