A couple of days later Clarke still hadn't talked to Lexa, and Lexa was getting worried. But Clarke needed to talk to her mom and ask about what the police officer said before anything else. While Clarke sat up waiting for her mom to get home she got a text from Lexa.

😮‍💨🥵

can you tell me why you've been ignoring me

i'm so confused

Bellamy told me how the police said they couldn't go anything

but did something happen after

because this isn't a reason to ignore everyone

winter break is almost over and i rather the first time i see you since new years not be at school

what's going on?

is it something i did?

can you please talk to me?

Clarke if you don't answer i'm coming over

which is something i probably should have done four days ago

k i gave you twenty minutes i'm coming over

no don't come over

you did nothing wrong

then why won't you talk to me

or anyone

Clarke I wanna see you

you know how clingy i am

i need to be with you and feel you

which is why I love you

and i know i feel the same way

but if you come over i won't do what it is i have to do

which is?

i have to talk to my mom about something the cop said

what did he say?

he told me to ask my mom about the dick

i don't know why he said it

but i'm waiting for my mom to get home so i can do that

i'll tell you everything after

okay?

okay

i love you

i love you too babe

"Mom, I need to talk to you," Clarke said once her mom got home.

"Can it wait five minutes, so I change out of these clothes?" Abby asked walking towards the stairs.

"No, it can't. I need to talk to you right now."

"Fine, what's up."

"I was at the police station a couple of days ago."

"What? Why? Are you okay?"

"If you didn't live at the hospital you would have known that Raven, Octavia, and Callie caught someone watching and taking pictures of me and Lexa having sex on new year's eve."

"Clarke, why didn't you tell me?"

"Like I said, if you didn't live at the hospital you would have found out sooner. Do you realize I've barely slept because I've been waiting for you to come home so I could tell you, right? I mean I haven't even seen Lexa in four days because I thought I might miss my chance to talk to you, she even texted me thinking it was something she did."

"I'm sorry honey it's just-"

"Yeah, I've been hearing it ever since the dick lost his licenses and you took over his share of the hospital."

"I really am sorry honey, and I'm so sorry you couldn't tell me this sooner."

"It's fine, that's not even what I have to talk to you about. When I went to the cops to report the guy, they said they couldn't do anything because they didn't have his last name, which I personally think is bullshit and he can't do anything because he's homophobic. Anyway, apparently, he knew the dick and told me to ask you for the whole story. So what's the full story with the dick?"

"What do you mean? You know the full story."

"Mom, I'm eighteen, if there's something your hiding from me, just tell me."

"There's nothing, you know everything."

"Okay great, that's what I thought, I just wanted to make sure. Do you mind if I go to Lexa's?"

"Of course not honey."

"Bye mom, I love you."

After Clarke grabbed her keys and water bottle, she opened the door only to be stopped in her tracks and drop her water. The last person she ever thought she'd see was standing in front of her.

"I- wha- h- what the fuck?" Clarke asked confused. "MOM! C- COME HERE, NOW!"

"What's wrong honey?"

"H- How? T- This isn't possible, how is this possible?" Clarke asked as she pointed at the man in the doorway.

"I thought I taught you better than that. You don't point at people half-pint," the man said.

"Y- you're not dead. H- how is he not dead? How did you lie to me? I- I'm so fucking confused, is this what it feels like to be in the twilight zone? Wait you- you lied, you just told me that you weren't hiding anything, you fucking lied."

"Honey, I-"

"No, I'm not done. I would have got it if you lied about him being alive when I was younger because he's a fucking piece of shit, bu-"

"You know I can hear you right?" Clarke's father asked.

"No one is talking to you," Clarke said before looking back over at her mom. "But lying to me now, when I practically begged you to tell me if there was anything I didn't know, that's so messed up. What, did you really think that if you told me this fucking dick was alive Id try and go find him or something? I wouldn't have, so why didn't you tell me?"

"Hey, that's no way to talk about me, I'm your father."

"Biologically yeah, but you didn't do shit for me, and no father beats up their own kid for liking the same gender."

"Yeah, I heard you had a girlfriend," he said disappointedly.

"Yeah, a beautiful, brilliant, compassionate, talented, funny, driven, adorably shy girlfriend, who I love more than anything in the world, and so glad that you will never meet because she does not need to know what a piece of shit you are."

"Please, you guys won't last more than a month."

"Oh, so the past couple of months didn't count? Wow, thanks for letting me know," Clarke said rolling her eyes. "Mom, can you tell me why the fuck this homophobic prick isn't dead and why the hell you lied to me?"

"Honey, I...it's complicated," Abby said.

"It's actually not that complicated. Your lovely mother tried sideswiping me, and I ended up hitting another car, so for all those years that you thought I killed that family, it was actually your mother's fault."

"I- I- I don't understand."

"And when they brought me to the hospital, my blood alcohol was a little high so everyone just assumed I was drunk. And when Abby found out I wasn't dead she bribed me. Which is why I'm here, your late," Jake said to Abby.

"Wait, you killed them?" Clarke asked her mom.

"Clarke it's complicated."

"No, no it isn't. You lied to my face not even ten minutes ago, and then I find out you tried killing him but ended up making four innocent people lose their lives, a-and he's not even dead."

"Honey, let me exp-"

"No, I'm going over Lexa's."

"Who's Lexa?" Jake asked.

"None of your god damn fucking business," Clarke said pushing past him.

Her father tightly grabbed her by her wrist, pulling her back into the house. He squeezed tighter as she felt her pull back.

"Get off of me!"

"I don't like how you're treating me, I'm your father, I expect you to treat me like one."

"Get the fuck off of me!"

"Jake get off her now!"

"Don't you dare tell me what to do?"

"You're hurting me, get the fuck off of me!" Clarke yelled, receiving a tighter grip around her wrist.
