《We're Just Friends (Clexa AU)》Chapter Sixty Nine

When Lexa got to school she felt like everyone was watching her. She hadn't even made it to the tree where all her friends were and already felt awkward and uncomfortable, especially when a kid she never met walked up to her.
"Hey your Lexa, right?"
"Umm, y- yeah."
"Hi, I'm Ilian, I just wanted to say how it was so brave that you saved Clarke."
"Oh umm, thanks."
"I can't believe Finn would have done something like that, he seemed like such a great guy."
"Well he wasn't," Lexa said awkwardly.
"Why did you save Clarke anyway? I mean I would have definitely chickened out."
"Umm, well because, I- I- I guess because umm-"
"There you are Woods, let's go," Octavia said grabbing Lexa's hands and pulling her away from the boy.
"That- that was so awkward. I didn't know what to say," Lexa said when they were far enough way.
"I know, that's why I pulled you away."
"Thank you." Lexa looked around at all her friends around the tree, "Hey umm, where Clarke."
"Your girlfriend is in the music room," Raven answered.
"Thanks," Lexa said as she walked away.
"Hey horndog, get your horny ass over here, we haven't seen you in like ten years!" Raven yelled causing people to look.
Now that even more people were staring she kept walking instead of going back to her friends. When she got to the music room she found Clarke sitting there all by herself, playing the song she showed Lexa the other day on the guitar.
"So you're really taking this seriously?" Lexa asked as she hugged the blonde from behind and rested her head on her shoulder.
"Yes, I'm one thousand percent serious, I wanna win so I can see you in the hottest prom dress there is, and I'll wear the second hottest."
"What if I wanna see you in the hottest dress?"
"How bout we both wear equally hot dresses?"
"Good thinking," Lexa said then kissed Clarke on her cheek.
"Are you sure you want to do that? I want you to, but only if you're comfortable with it."

"No one's around, I'm perfectly fine with kissing my girlfriend when no one's around."
"Then kiss me on the lips because I've missed yours," Clarke said as she turned in her seat.
They shared a soft, sweet kiss till the five-minute warning bell went off. Seconds later the teacher and students started to come into the classroom, so the two girls decided to go to their actual class. After her first four classes and all her teachers saying how great it was to have her back, she went to lunch with Clarke and all her friends.
"I can't believe you care more about Clarke than your friends, than me," Raven said as she sat down across from Lexa.
"Of course she does, she loves me but only likes you," Clarke said with a proud smile.
"I didn't listen to you because you called me horndog and people were staring. I was embarrassed."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold up, she loves you?" Murphy asked. "As in you finally told her?"
"I'm missing something and I need to know what it is, Murphy spill," Octavia said.
"Murphy," Clarke said, "I'm warning you, shut up."
"So at the hospital, after the whole thing happened, Clarke and I were outside and sh-"
"I know shit about you that you don't know I know and no one else knows so shut up, Murphy."
"Actually," Bellamy said, "we were gonna tell you all later today but I kinda wanna know the details. Murphy is it okay if we tell them now?"
Murphy got up from his seat and went over to Bellamy to kiss him.
"OH MY GOD!" Octavia yelled.
"My gaydar is never wrong, I knew Murphamy was real," Miller said.
"MURPHAMY!"
"Guys you're hurting my ears, please calm down," Bellamy said as he covered his ears.
"Classic case of enemies to lovers," Jasper said causing everyone to laugh.
"Okay, so Murphy what we're you gonna say?" Bellamy asked.
"Well while Clarke and I were outside she almost said she love Lexa but got nervous and when I told her she could say it, she started freaking out because she didn't know if Lexa felt the same way."

"Awww," a couple of people around the table said.
Lexa looked over at Clarke who was blushing profusely, looking down at her lap.
"Aww, baby, if I could I would definitely kiss you right now. You are just so cute," Lexa whispered to Clarke.
"I don't think I've ever seen Clarke blush," Lincoln said shocked.
"Ummm, how about we talk about something else? Maybe the talent show?" Clarke suggested.
"When is it?" Murphy asked.
"January 1st."
"Definitely not doing then."
"Why?"
"New year's, I know for a fact I'm gonna be hungover and almost all of you are too."
"Well I'm still doing it," Bellamy said.
"Me too," Lincoln said.
"Count us in, hungover or not," Raven said pointing to her and Luna.
"I'm gonna try this year, prom dresses and tuxedos on the line."
"I don't know, a senior has never won, they probably just make that the award so more seniors will join," Monty said.
"Okay well if I do win, your not getting a free tux. Harper, are you going with him?"
"Yeah of course," Harper said.
"Then you don't get a dress."
"Miller, even though is only December and prom is in May, do you wanna go to prom with me?" Harper asked.
"I would love to."
"Hey," Monty said in shock making Harper shrug her shoulders.
"Okay you can have a dress," Clarke said to Harper.
"Are you going to sing?" Jasper asked.
"Yeah, I actually wrote a song."
"Can we hear it?" Murphy asked.
"No, it's gonna be a surprise. All I can say is it might be about Lexa."
"Of course," Raven said.
"Wait, it's about me?" Lexa asked shocked.
"You didn't know?" Clarke asked. Clarke smiled as she watched Lexa shake her head, "You are so clueless sometimes, think about the lyrics."
Lexa started to think about the lyrics like Everyday meeting on the sly, Trust me your ignorance don't faze me, She's my baby girl, Well I'm sorry miss I'm in love with your daughter, "Oh my god, it is. How did I not realize that?"
"I don't know," Clarke said laughing, "but you're so adorable."
"I love you," Lexa said as she put her head on Clarke's shoulder.
"I love you too baby."
"Too gay for me," Murphy said fake gagging.
"Oh shut up you literally have a boyfriend," Lexa replied.
"She's got a point," Bellamy said as he put his arm around Murphy.
After school Clarke went home while Lexa stayed after to talk to the volleyball coach. Which ended with Lexa being upset so she went to Clarke's house.
Lexa sighed as she walked into Clarke's room and plopped down on the bed.
"Oh so walking into the house without knocking is something you do know?" Clarke joked but realized Lexa was upset and immediately went over to hug her, "What's wrong?"
"Coach won't let me play volleyball."
"So?"
"What do you mean so? How would you feel if someone said you couldn't paint?"
"Oh, I see. Did she say when you could play again?"
"Not till the next season which is in the spring."
"Well, until then you'll just practice, I'll even go on runs with you."
"But you hate running."
"Yeah, but I'll do it for you if it'll make you happy."
"Oh yeah also apparently teachers gossip about their students, and Mr. Titus told everyone about how you were kissing me and all so now all our teachers know."
"Are you okay with that?"
"Yeah, Coach Indra said she'll make sure to tell all my teachers not to possibly say anything if they ever have a parent-teacher conference with my mom."
"Well that's good," Clarke said as she played with the ends of Lexa's hair.
"I think I'm ready."
"Ready for what?"
"To kiss you, to hug you, to hold your hand in front of people at school."
"Really?
"Yeah, I mean who cares what anyone thinks and I thought about it, my mom still wouldn't find out. Not like she works at the school or is friends with any of the parents, she's way too stuck up for that."
"I officially can't wait for school tomorrow. I can't wait to let the world know your mine," Clarke said with a big smile then gave Lexa a kiss.
"Me too," Lexa said returning the kiss and smile.
