《We're Just Friends (Clexa AU)》Chapter Thirty Three

While Clarke drove them to Aden's school, Lexa had completely forgotten about what happened with Finn. All she could think about was how she just told Clarke she liked her and that Clarke was still holding her hand as she drove.
When they got to Aden's school they were 5 minutes late. Lexa got out of the car and when Aden saw her, he ran over and jumped into her arms wrapping his body around her.
"You were late. I thought you forgot about me." Aden said with tears in his eyes.
"I know buddy. I'm so sorry." Lexa said giving him a tight hug.
"Why were you late?"
"I'm sorry. I got distracted and didn't realize what time it was."
"You did forget about me." Aden started to cry.
"Hey Aden no one forgot about you, no one could ever forget about you. Lexa had a really bad day at school and just didn't realize the time. If you wanna be upset at someone be upset at me, I was the one who was distracting her."
Aden looked up at Clarke, "Since you made Lexy late I think you should get us milkshakes."
"Of course," Clarke laughed, "from where?"
"Ummm Chick-fil-a. They have the best."
"You don't have to." Lexa said as she put his seatbelt on.
"Yes, she does!" Aden yelled.
"Hey, Aden be nice."
"I do, I made Aden upset it's the least I can do." Clarke said looking at the little blonde boy in the back.
"You should get me fries too. So I can dip them in the milkshake."
Don't get them for him."
"Yes get them for me." Aden said.
Clarke looked over at Aden and then back at Lexa, "I meannn I kinda have to."
"He's not gonna eat dinner if he has dessert now."
"Aden do you promise that if I get you a milkshake and fries you'll still eat your dinner, you'll even eat all the vegetables that your parents make no matter how bad they taste."
Aden shook his head yes extremely fast.

"If you don't, your parents will be mad at me and I'll probably never get to spend time with you ever again."
"I will I promise."
"Then let's go get some milkshakes." Clarke said as she started the car.
"You're going to be a horrible mother one day." Lexa said smiling.
"Nah I'll be a great mom, your gonna be the bad one."
"Yeah right."
"I will, you wait and see."
When they pulled into the drive through the two girls decided they were going to share a small vanilla milkshake and small fries, while Aden got a small cookies-and-cream milkshake with small fries. They sat in the car eating and Aden told them about his day, while Lexa and Clarke were staring and smiling at each other the whole time not really paying attention.
"What about you two?" Aden asked. "Hello? Guys I'm talking to you."
"Huh, what Aden?" Lexa asked finally taking her eyes off Clarke.
"I asked what about you two?"
"What about us?"
Aden sighed, "Why weren't you paying attention? Are you two dating?"
"W- W- what?" Lexa asked almost spitting out some of her milkshake.
"This is the last time I'm asking so pay attention, please. Are you two dating?"
"Wh- why would you ask that?" Lexa stuttered.
"I don't know, because you guys are close. You guys are sharing your food and the other day when Clarke was over she had her arm wrapped around you and you jumped up when I came in. Oh yeah and you guys stare at each other a lot, like a weird amount." Aden said as he stole one of their fries.
"Aden were both girls." Lexa said in shock.
"So is that bad?" Aden asked confused.
"No of course not, but there's a lot of people in the world who don't like that girls can like girls and boys can like boys. I don't know why because love is love, but some people are just mean." Clarke said.
"Oh. So are you guys dating?"
"No, but can I tell you a secret?" Clarke asked.

Aden nodded his head yes and Clarke gesture for him to come sit on the armrest of the car.
"I actually liked your sister, but she doesn't like me like that," Clarke whispered in Aden's ear.
"Does she know?" Aden whispered back.
Clarke nodded her head.
"Why don't you like Clarke? Like her back, she's so much fun." Aden said to Lexa.
"Huh?" Lexa said confused and shocked.
"Nah Aden it's too late. I've already moved on." Clarke said shaking her head slowly.
"Oh really?" Lexa said raising her eyebrows.
"Yup. Why jealous?"
"Of course not, don't like you remember? But do you mind if I ask who?"
"Ummmm her," Clarke said pointing to a tall young woman wearing black jeans and a dark blue top standing in the parking lot.
"And what's her name?" Lexa asked with an eyebrow still raised.
"Umm, I uhhh, I forgot."
"Well, why don't you go ask her?" Lexa asked gesturing her hands to the young woman.
"Bet."
Clarke got out of the car and started walking towards the person.
"What is she doing?" Aden asked Lexa.
"Making a fool out of herself."
"Why?"
"Because she's a goof."
"Oh."
Clarke came running back to the car, "It was Miss. Becca!"
"I know," Lexa said smiling.
"You knew?"
Lexa nodded her head yes while scrunching her nose.
"You fucking bitch, what the hells wrong with you!" Clarke said smacking Lexa's arm.
"Oooo, you said three bad words." Aden said shocked.
"Language, you're in front of a seven-year-old."
Clarke looked over at Aden, "I'm sorry Aden pretend you didn't hear that." Then looked back at Lexa and hit her again, "Do you know how awkward that was? I walked up to her and was like, hey I'm Clarke what's your name. And then she turned around and I just stood there embarrassed as she laughed."
"What did she say?" Lexa asked laughing.
"She turned around and saw me and started laughing. And then she said something like Clarke honey I think you already know my name. And I just stood there like an idiot and said I'm sorry. WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP ME?"
"If you weren't so cocky I would have," Lexa said with a smile.
"I hate you."
"No, you don't."
"Wait I'm confused?" Aden said looking at both girls.
"What's wrong buddy?" Lexa asked.
"Why aren't you guys together?"
"Because she doesn't like me like that." Clarke said to Aden.
"Are you stupid Lexy? She's funny, she's pretty, and she bought us milkshakes." Aden said confused.
Clarke started to laugh, "Yeah I bought you a milkshake, how could you not like me back?"
"Clarke shut up you're not helping and Aden that's not all it takes. You'll understand one day."
Aden shook his head in disbelief, "I wish you liked her. Clarke would be my sister. Like how Uncle Nyko is Dad's brother in somethin."
"Aden it doesn't work like that. If Clarke was your sister-in-law, we would have to be married."
Aden shrugged his shoulders, "So get married."
"Buddy once again it doesn't work like that. First of all, we're too young. Second of all, I don't like girls like that. And third of all, if I did apparently Clarke likes someone else now."
Aden thought for a second, "Simple, wait till your old enough, Lexy start liking Clarke, and Clarke like Lexa again."
"Aden we're done with this conversation."
"Fine," Aden said pouting.
Clarke drove Lexa and Aden to their house, then drove home. When she got home she text Lexa to let her know she was home and to tell her she was picking her up tomorrow for school.
Lexa read the text and smiled.
"Why are you smiling?" Callie asked as she finished up her school work.
"I did it."
"Did what?"
"I told Clarke I like her," Lexa whispered to make sure no one could hear, "well that I might like her. But still, I did it."
"Oh my god really! What happened?"
Lexa told her everything, what happened with Finn, how Clarke was adorably nervous to kiss her, and how Aden tried to make them date. The rest of the night was spent watching tv with Callie while texting Clarke.
