《La Lace (Elizabeth Olsen x F Reader)》Chapter 23- BONUS CHAPTER

When I thought of how my life would turn out I didn't foresee myself stood outside in the freezing cold, keeping myself occupied with memories of warmth and love on Christmas days spent with the love of my life or a random Tuesday when I forgot to take the bins out to the end of the road and found myself being told off by said lover.
My hands found themselves at home in the pockets of my black wrap coat which had previously been Elizabeth's. It found itself in my possession after a date night at the Lincoln Centre where we sat amongst many eager souls preparing to watch some overly dramatic, heart breaking and breath-taking performance in Broadway Theatre history. At least that was what Elizabeth ranted as we entered the building, trying to convince me of its magnitude. I wasn't convinced. Watching very gay men prance around a stage with unbearably straight women wasn't my cup of tea but for her... I would sit through the 3-hour production and listen to her endless rambles afterwards.
Our fingers interlocked at the production came to an end, her face looking blushed and slightly damp from the tears she had shed. We left via the main entrance, hand in hand. Our night had not yet come to an end as we made our way over to our hotel room. The door swung open and there lay a red rose on the bed, petals scattered around and a buffet of chocolate gifts. Our 10-year anniversary had been one to not forget.
The TV murmured as the lights of New York slowly began to fall asleep. We laid in the Queen size bed together, her warmth radiating through my body. It's a shame I couldn't feel that warmth here: outside in the rain. I remember the feeling well, her fingertips tracing the tattoos she never got tired of seeing, the palm of her hand cupping the side of my face she never got tired of seeing.

The rain falling onto my hair which had been curled to perfection now laid damp and wet, an umbrella would have been smart to bring with me. Elizabeth was the one to bring the umbrella, smart as always.
I would have brought the same umbrella she shot open to protect herself from the gale which rained down on us as we walked home from Aubrey and Florence's that one night. She refused to cover me, after I had embarrassingly started an argument over our wine not being at the same level, she always gave herself more. Aubrey and Florence paid no attention to us as we squabbled over the petty matter. My drunken state thought it was horrible that she wouldn't give me the last few drops but instead treated herself to the luxury.
After arguing to the point where we had to stop walking to catch our breaths, she walked off into the nearest store, with the umbrella, I continued to get drenched outside but I waited for her, of course. Elizabeth exited with a bottle of wine. The walk home was more pleasant than before, I was allowed under the umbrella and she gracefully let me carry it as well. The night came to an end when the last 2 glasses of wine was poured into our glasses. There, the last few drops sat at the bottom of the bottle, aiming for my glass. The woman in front of me made my heart melt as she started giving my drink the extra drops, making it fuller than hers.
My black boots had officially been ruined by the mud on the ground below me. Who would've thought at my age I would still be wearing the same black boots she had brought me after Thor destroyed my old pair. The sound of her trying to tell our little man off whilst also being unable to get angry at his doughy face still rang clear in my mind. The next morning, I woke up to a box placed on the kitchen counter, my name written in bold on the salmon pink note which sat on top of it.

"It was an accident, I swear.
Love, Thor"
The note read. Elizabeth's handwriting looked as beautiful as always. I opened the box to see a shiny new pair of boots. The same boots I'm wearing today and wishing that I hadn't. She would've shone a bright smile at the sight of the boots, I hadn't worn them for a while since Thor had taken a chunk out of the sole. My socks now paying the price for the mistake I made wearing them today.
My eyes closed as the voices around me disappeared into nothingness. I knew the words being spoken by her sister, Ashley, was meant to bring tears to my eyes but instead it was my own mind which played the tapes we had taken to remember all of our best times together which made my eyes rain a parade of their own.
"Auntie Olsen?" I heard from behind me, the voice bringing me away from the memories which I cherished most.
There stood my nephew in matching black who had the unfortunate name of Barry. After a long night out Florence, Aubrey, Elizabeth and I all agreed that the Cactus we all shared called Barry would be the name of the first child we introduce into the world. Considering Elizabeth and I opted out of the whole parenting thing, Florence and Aubrey kept their word when they opted into parenting.
The child I had once wiped baby vomit off of was now 25 and starting a family of his own with his partner. Elizabeth would've been proud to hear of the club he inherited becoming a book store, with her name on the cover of a best seller: "La Lace"
The lives around me continued moving forward,
But I,
I would be in the past,
With her.
Always.
A/N: I'm sorry this took so long to be produced but I wanted it to be perfect. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and all your wishes come true. The end has now come. Love you, always.
