Brendon feels a lot better, after a few days and before Dallon knows it, he's back to normal.
Dallon just ignores the feeling of wanting Brendon to be more than his boyfriend. It'd go away soon enough, anyway.
On the morning of the benefit gala they had to go to, Dallon wakes up early because he wanted to go for a run and grabs some food for him and Brendon on the way back.
He gets dressed, kisses Brendon's cheek and tells his boyfriend he loves him before he goes outside and puts his earphones in, as he just starts walking towards Central Park, where he usually went on his runs.
He runs for about an hour and a half before he goes to one of his favorite cafes and gets him and Brendon coffee and some bagels.
When he gets back home, Brendon is in the shower and Dallon just sits down in the kitchen, drinking his coffee and waiting for Brendon to get out of the shower.
When Brendon walks into the kitchen, drying his hair and wearing nothing more than some sweatpants.
"Good morning, baby," Dallon says and Brendon smiles at him, walking up to him.
"Hi," he says, kissing Dallon's cheek softly.
"What did you bring for breakfast?" He asks, sitting down at the kitchen table and Dallon grabs the bag.
"I brought some bagels and coffee," he says, handing Brendon the bag and the shorter man cheers a little, as he gets a bagel and he takes a bite of it.
"Ugh, fucking marry me," he says, as a joke and Dallon chuckles a little, trying to ignore the little flip his stomach just did.
"All because I bought bagels?" He asks and Brendon nods, as he takes another bite of his bagel.
He giggles and Dallon just smiles, eating his own bagel too.
When they finish breakfast, Dallon takes a shower before getting dressed in a shirt and sweatpants.
He and Brendon still had an hour before they had to get ready and leave to go to Washington DC.
He just sits down on the couch, next to Brendon, who's just texting with someone and rests his head on Dallon's shoulder.
Dallon just kisses Brendon's cheek and smiles at him, looking at Brendon's screen as the shorter man wants to show him something. He smiles, as he sees the cute cat that Brendon was looking at.

"Look at it, Dall... It's so cute!" Brendon says and he squeals a little as he swipes to the next picture.
"I wanna get a cat," Brendon says and he looks at Dallon, seeing how he was gonna react to that.
"Well, we can think about getting a cat," Dallon says and Brendon smiles at that.
"Really? We can get a cat?" He asks, making Dallon chuckle a little.
"Yeah, if you really want one, we can get one. We've got the space and I'm sure that we can take care of a cat," he says and Brendon cheers.
"Oh my god, yes, please!" Brendon says and he pulls Dallon into a hug, making the tall man smile brightly.
To him, it felt like getting a cat was a new step in their relationship and he really, really wanted that.
"We can find a cat after we get back from that gala we have to go to, soon," he says and Brendon nods.
"Great!" He says before he gets up.
"I'm gonna get changed," he says and Dallon gets up too.
"I'll go get changed too," he says and Brendon smiles.
They both get changed into casual clothes – Dallon still in a suit, though – and then Brendon packs their suitcase. They'd gone shopping together, a few days ago and they'd both gotten new suits. Brendon had chosen a really pretty suit for Dallon, with white pants, a button-up with three shades of blue and a white jacket and he'd bought a really nice red suit for himself.
They both get changed and Dallon sits down on the edge of the bed when he's dressed and he pulls Brendon closer to him.
"You look so handsome," he says and Brendon blushes.
"I'm not even wearing anything special, but so do you," he answers, fixing Dallon's tie and he smiles at his boyfriend.
"Why do we act like we're about to get married?" Brendon jokes and he giggles a little, making Dallon smile.
"I have no idea, but I don't mind, honestly," he confesses and Brendon giggles. "Me neither," he answers.
Then, he gets up and kisses Brendon softly before he walks into the en-suite and fixes his hair. He gets his glasses off and just grabs the case of his lenses, putting them in and blinking a few times.

"I really don't get how you can wear lenses, honestly. You literally have to poke your own eyeballs to get a bunch of glasses into your eyes," Brendon says, leaning against the doorpost and Dallon laughs a little.
"Oh my God, Brendon," he says, laughing and looking at his boyfriend.
"What? It's the truth!" Brendon says, laughing too.
"Well, you've got to practice poking your own eyeballs, but after a while, you get used to it and it's not as bad anymore," Dallon says and Brendon nods.
"I'll just keep wearing glasses, or, if I don't wanna wear my glasses, I'll hold on to you for dear life, so I don't bump into something."
"Well, you can always hold on to me, I'll make sure you don't bump into anything," Dallon says and Brendon smiles.
"A true hero," he says and Dallon chuckles.
"Now, let's go, I want to get to DC a little early," Dallon says. "If you don't mind, of course," he adds.
"I certainly don't mind, we could have a little fun in the hotel room," Brendon says, smirking and Dallon doesn't answer, he just walks out of the bedroom and Brendon slaps his ass, giggling a little as Dallon turns around and blushes furiously.
"Aww, look at you, you're adorable," he says and Dallon just starts blushing even more.
"Just shut up, you're the adorable one here," Dallon says and Brendon rolls his eyes.
"Let's just go," he says, as he walks after Dallon and puts his shoes on. They get ready to go to the airport. They had one suitcase they were gonna share because they were gonna stay in a hotel in DC, overnight.
They take a taxi to the airport and when they get there, Brendon grabs Dallon's hand, holding it as they walk through the airport.
They get to the smaller gates and Brendon looks out of the window, seeing a private jet with the logo of Dallon's company standing at one of the gates.
"Wait, you didn't tell me we were taking a private plane," he says and Dallon smiles a little.
"Well, we are. I hope you don't mind," he says and Brendon lets out an unbelieving laugh.
"Of course, I don't. I think it's really cool," he exclaims and Dallon smiles even more.
"Okay, honey."
They get on the plane and just sit down, with Brendon looking around in curiosity and Dallon just grabbing his laptop and opening his email. Brendon really had never been on a private plane before, so he was feeling a bit intimidated.
Dallon had done this enough times, though, so he wasn't even thinking about it anymore.
When they start moving, Brendon freezes a little and Dallon puts his laptop away, looking at his boyfriend, who is sitting in front of him.
"It's just a short flight, so before you know it, we're in DC. I just wasn't in the mood to drive for four hours," he says and Brendon nods.
"Yeah,I get that. How far is the hotel from the airport?"
"30 minutes, but we've got a driver there, so we don't really have to worry about that," Dallon answers.
A stewardess comes their way and Brendon gives her a friendly smile, but Dallon doesn't even look at her, instead writing an email on his phone.
"Good morning, sirs, can I get you something to drink?" The woman asks and Brendon nods.
"I'd like a water, please," he says and the woman nods.
"Do you want anything, Mr. Weekes?" She asks and Dallon stays quiet for a few seconds.
"I'd like sparkling water," he says, not looking up from his phone even once.
The stewardess walks away again and Brendon nudges Dallon's foot with his, making the tall man look up.
"What is it, honey?" He asks the smile back on his face.
"Why didn't you even say please to the nice lady?" He says and Dallon cocks an eyebrow.
"Sorry?" He asks.
"Well, she asks you if you want anything to drink and you don't even say 'please' or 'thank you'."
Dallon just frowns a little.
"I'm sorry, I guess," he says and Brendon rolls his eyes.
"Just be nice to people, even if they work for you because they can choose to not listen to you anymore and then you're in trouble."
Dallon nods, gritting his teeth.
"Yeah, I already said I'm sorry."
He really didn't understand where this annoyance was coming from, all of a sudden.
