Have another chapter.

Dallon looks at the road in front of him. The sun had gone down already and the sky had now turned dark blue with orange.

He was listening to some music and softly humming along to it, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

He really just wanted to get back to Brendon and cuddle with him.

He still felt bad for leaving Brendon behind like that, even though they'd gone to Maine to get away from Dallon's work and to just spend a few days together, without anyone else.

But of course, Dallon's work had screwed that up.

Sometimes Dallon really hated his company and he just wanted to get away from all of it, but he knew he couldn't.

A new song comes on and Dallon puts the volume just a little louder, taking his eyes off the road for just a second.

When he looks back to the road, he smiles a little, just listening to the song and humming along.

The song reminded him of when he and his parents would go on road trips and he and Weston would play games in the backseat and his parents would sing along to the songs on the radio and talk and laugh and Dallon kind of missed that.

But maybe, maybe one day he and Brendon could go on a road trip and they'd laugh and sing along to the song.

The thought alone makes him smile again and it just makes him want to get back to Brendon sooner.

He drives a little faster, just a little, so he can get home sooner.

---

Brendon finishes cooking dinner a little early.

He'd decided to wait for Dallon before eating dinner himself too because even though it was pretty late, he still wanted to eat with Dallon.

He looks at the clock, seeing that it's 8.45. Dallon would be back soon and he just couldn't wait.

He'd really missed Dallon, even though he hadn't even be gone for a full day.

He just didn't want to be alone anymore because he'd been bored out of his mind, today.

He'd gone swimming, he'd worked out and he'd even gone for a hike around the lake, but still, he'd been bored the entire day.

When it's finally 9.00, Brendon puts dinner on the table and waits for Dallon to walk in.

Concern starts to set in, at around 9.30 and he dials Dallon's number, but no one picks up.

Brendon starts pacing around the living room, occasionally walking to the hall to see if Dallon's there.

At 9.45, Brendon walks back into the hall and he opens the front door, finally seeing the headlights of a car.

Brendon recognizes it as Dallon's car and he breathes out in relief.

"Oh, thank god," he mumbles and when Dallon gets out of the car, Brendon runs up to him, hugging him tightly.

"I was so fucking concerned," he mumbles and Dallon just wraps his arms around him.

"Hey, calm down, honey... I'm okay." "You're so late." "I know, I'm sorry. Traffic was pretty bad." "I thought something bad had happened."

Dallon wipes the tears on Brendon's cheeks away and he kisses his forehead.

"I'm alright, sweetheart. I'm alright."

Brendon steps back and looks at Dallon, smiling a little.

"I think dinner's cold," he says and Dallon smiles.

"I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean to scare you, okay?" "Yeah, I know. It would be pretty mean if you did."

Dallon chuckles.

"Yeah, it would be. Let's go inside, love."

They walk inside and Brendon walks into the kitchen, to just microwave their food.

Dallon walks after him and hugs him from behind when Brendon closes the microwave door.

"You waited for me, for dinner?" "Yeah. I didn't want you to eat alone." "And besides, I thought that you'd be back like, an hour ago." "Again, I'm sorry." "No, it's okay. We'll just have to do with microwaved food, now." "I think I can handle. I had microwaved coffee in France. That was terrible." "I can imagine. I'll make sure you'll never have to drink microwaved coffee, as long as you're with me. After all, this whole thing started out with me bringing you coffee."

Dallon smiles and turns Brendon around, kissing him softly.

"Oh yeah, I remember, Mr. Urie." "Honestly, the best decision I ever made was going out for dinner with you, even though I felt as if it was kinda weird. And then you scared me with your 'oh, your age doesn't need to be a bad thing if you don't want it to.' You're just 7 years older than me, babe." "How was I supposed to know that that isn't a bad thing for you? Some people think that 7 years is too much..."

Brendon just kisses Dallon again, a little more eager.

When the microwave beeps, Brendon suddenly pulls away and Dallon groans.

"No, get back." "Nope, dinner's ready."

Dallon watches as Brendon gets their plates out of the microwave and puts them on the table.

"Dinner's ready." "Hm, not that hungry anymore." "Come on, sit down, please. I just want to have dinner now." "Fine... But I want a special dessert."

Brendon just laughs at that and Dallon isn't able to keep a straight face.

"I'm sorry, I'll stop now. That was bad..." "Yeah, that was terrible," Brendon says, with a smile on his face and he sits down at the table.

Dallon does the same and they just eat dinner together.

And it's all that Brendon really wants, at that moment.
