(thank you so much for the 2k reads!)

Dallon looks out of the window of his private jet and sighs.

He felt really guilty for leaving Brendon behind like that because Brendon had sounded really disappointed, over the phone.

Dallon glances at the reports that were laying on the table in front of him and he just puts them in his bag. He knew he couldn't focus on them, at the moment and he didn't want to make any mistakes.

"Mr. Weekes, are you alright?" Stella asks and Dallon looks at her.

"Yeah, I'm okay." "You seem really distracted, sir." "I've told you about Brendon, right?" "Yeah, you did." "Well, I was supposed to go out for dinner with him, tonight and I called him, 10 minutes before I was supposed to pick him up, telling him I was on my way to Paris."

Stella nods and frowns a little.

"Sir, you can't help it. If anything, it was more my fault." "It doesn't matter who's fault it is, he just sounded really disappointed and that hurts me. More than it should, actually." "Sir, you can't help it. I'm sure Brendon understands." "I hope so."

Dallon just looks out of the window again and sighs. He hoped that Brendon would understand it because he didn't want the short man to be angry at him.

"Maybe you should call him. Tell him that it wasn't your decision to go to France." "Yeah, I'll do that."

Stella smiles, as Dallon grabs his phone and she gets up, to go and sit in another chair.

Dallon dials Brendon's number and he taps his foot impatiently, waiting for Brendon to pick up.

"Dallon? Why are you calling at 1 am?" "Because I feel really bad for leaving you behind like that." "What? Dallon, you woke me up... What's so important?" "I'm sorry that I went to Paris, on such short notice. I shouldn't have done that, but I need to go and take control of my company there because things have gotten out of hand and I can't risk anything." "Dallon, what part of 'it's 1 am, you woke me up' don't you understand?"

Dallon stays quiet for a few seconds. Brendon sounded really angry.

"I'm sorry. I'll call you later, then..." "Please don't. I don't wanna talk to you, Dallon. You just fucking left to go to France and called me like 10 minutes before we were gonna go on a fucking date!"

Brendon ends the call and Dallon just looks at his phone for a few seconds.

"Well, that didn't go as planned..." He mumbles and he puts his phone away.

Stella sits down in front of him again and looks at his face, trying to see how it went.

"Sir?" "He's really angry and he doesn't want to talk to me anymore." "Maybe give it some time, he needs to cool off." "It's stupid, I'm literally getting relationship advice from my assistant." "Well, relationships can be hard and I am happy to help, sir."

Dallon smiles a little and he shakes his head.

"I've always been so focused on my career and my company that I never had time for a relationship and now I don't know how to be in a relationship..." He says and Stella just looks at him.

"Well, there's a time to learn everything, sir."

---

Brendon just can't fucking sleep. He regrets being so mean to Dallon, but when he tried to call back, Dallon didn't pick up anymore.

And now he was trying to sleep, but he just couldn't.

He gets out of bed and walks into the kitchen, just grabbing a bottle of water and he walks back to the bedroom.

He dials Dallon's number again and he can feel his heart beating faster, as he waits for Dallon to pick up.

"Dallon Weekes' phone, Stella speaking." "Sorry, who?" "Stella Kingsley. I'm Mr. Weekes' assistant. What can I do for you, sir?" "Uh, nothing. I'll call back later." "Alright, then. Do you want me to leave him a message?" "Tell him to call me back as soon as possible." "Alright. I will. Have a nice day."

Brendon disconnects the call and just sighs. He wasn't really feeling better, right now. At least Dallon wasn't feeling so bad that he couldn't sleep, so why should Brendon feel bad?

He puts his phone away and walks to the kitchen again.

He just grabs a bottle of scotch and pours some into a glass, just throwing it back. It usually helped him sleep, but right now he just wanted more.

After a few drinks, Brendon just walks back to his bedroom and he lays down in bed again. He is almost asleep when his phone rings and he groans, but still picks it up.

"What's up?" He asks, not even knowing who was calling him.

"Hey, it's Dallon. You told Stella that I had to call you back as soon as I could." "Oh... Hi... I just wanna say I'm sorry for being mean, earlier. I was just really looking forward to having dinner with you and then you canceled it." "I'm sorry for doing that, Brendon. I didn't want to." "No, I know. And I get that, but it still made me sad..."

There's just a few second silence before Dallon talks again.

"...are you drunk?" "Just tipsy. I had a few drinks because I couldn't sleep." "Don't drink more, alright?" "I was just about to go to sleep. I won't drink anymore." "Good. I'll be back in two weeks and I'll take you out for an amazing dinner."

Brendon smiles and nods, but then he realizes that Dallon can't see him.

"Yeah, I would like that." "I actually have to tell you something, when I get back." "What is it?" "I-I'll tell you later." "Alright..." "You go sleep now, okay?" "Yeah. Bye, Dall." "Sleep well, Brendon." "Text me when you landed." "I will, honey."

A blush appears on Brendon's face and his smile grows.

"Sleep well, Bee." "Bye," Brendon says, his eyelids already feeling heavy and he hears Dallon disconnect the phone before he falls asleep.
