Chapter 50 - Leaving. Hardest and Easiest thing to do sometimes.

-------------

"Do you know how fucking long it took me to find this, and then place my chakra into the first time, Hatake? It took months!!" I was past seething now as I glared down at the shattered fang that was in Hatake's hand, the very one I had given to him before when we were both kids, and not he was giving it back to me in pieces.

'Suteki. Do you think it would be possible to somehow make those kunias float over here to stab him to death?' I asked Suteki. I really did feel like grabbing one of those kunias myself because I had managed to cut my fingers quite a bit when I was testing the sharpness of them, measuring them for the sheath, which was not made out of ice, but real leather, and I had also hurt my fingers when I was checking out all the appliances, so every other finger on my hands had a Band-Aid on them.

'I don't know... It would be cool to watch though! Maybe we should try and see if you can manipulate wind later.'

'I think that I've had enough of your Spartan like training methods for now.' I told her before I finally moved my hands and slowly picked out all of the pieces in Hatake's hands, holding them in mine, and also tried to retrace my anger so I no longer wanted to strangle the man in front of me. It wasn't till then that I noticed the look he was giving me. It reminded me of the look Naruto gave me a month ago, but here was something different, less worry, and more curiosity, like he was trying to figure something out, but trying to not get noticed. For some reason, it made me worry. It was like he knew something, or was trying to figure something out.

"Any ways. Why did you bring this here? If it's broken its trash. There was no point of you coming here because I have no attachments to it anymore." I told him as I walked to one of the nearby open windows and tossed the shattered fang out.

"The reason I rough it here was to tell you that you saved my life twice in my last mission with that fang." He said, but because my back as to him, I couldn't see what his face, or eye, looked like. "It saved me by giving me what little chakra that you had but in left so I could still move, and then deflected a kunia aimed for my heart when I was on the run. But because it is so old it couldn't take it anymore and it shattered."

"Huh." I scoffed and turned around, walking back to him. "I hope you know I didn't put that chakra in it just for your sake. I don't want Naruto to come to me saying that his sensei was killed because he was stupid enough to over use his 'borrowed' powers. Really, if I didn't know you so well, which I wish I didn't, I would call you an idiot." I then sat in the chair across form the couch. I swung my legs over the arm and took out my bandana, letting my slightly longer then chin-length bob flow around my face as I continued to rub against the stubborn blue pint spot on my cheek.

"I think I'll take that as I compliment Harmony." He said with his cheeky closed eye smile, making me scoff.

"It wasn't meant to be. And you’re not only an idiot, but you’re an arrogant one." I pointed out, and getting a soft laugh in return. Then it hits me. For the first time in a while, I wasn't yelling my head off at him. I... I was being civil! And I didn't mind all that much!! I removed my hand from my cheek and cradled my forehead. "I really hate you and all the years I spent with you, you know?" I whispered, hoping he didn't hear, and if he did, he didn't show it.

"So, I hear you'll be going off to train for a few years." I lifted my head and gave him a half-hearted glare.

"And where, dare say, did you hear that?"

"Lady Tsuande told me when I asked her where you lived." I growled lowly in the back of my throat.

'Remind me to never tell Hokage-Obasan anything private ever again.' I thought to myself, and yes, I was still calling her that. Hey, she deserves the respect. I swung my legs back to the rightful spot and leaned over, resting my forearms on my thighs, a playful smirk on my lips.

"Yes, Rin, Nala, and I will be gone for a few years. And while I'm gone I expect you to train those three properly. I want at least a decent challenge when I come back." I then stood up. "And now I think you have out stayed your welcome, Hatake.' I think he got the hit that I wanted him to leave, now, or else my fiery temper would arise, because he quickly stood up and nodded his head.

"I understand. I just wanted to come by and say thanks for saving my life." He said before we walked out of the living room and our of the door, closing it behind him. I had followed him so when he shut the door I was staring at it.

"Who else would there be to save it, you dumb dog." I muttered before I went back to my room, turned to a fresh page in my journal, and began sketching.

---------------Two Days later---------

"So you're really leaving?" Teuchi asked as I slowly ate the ramen I ordered from him. I nodded my head. I knew he was saddened by the news.

"Yes, and I'm sorry I didn't come around to play here often, but I promise it till be one of the first things I do when I get back." I told him with a smile.

"When are you leaving?" Ayame, his daughter asked as she wiped down the counter that divided us.

"I have go to a few places, drop off my goodbye letters and then pick up Rin, and then I'm gone." I told him before talking some more ramen into my mouth. I raised an eyebrow when he gave me a pointed look. "Don't give me that. You know I would like to say goodbye in person, but when they got back yesterday Sasuke was unconscious again! I didn't even get the time to see them before they whisked him to the hospital again and they all went to go see him again, so I thought it would be better this way."

"Still, don't you think you should at least tell Naruto?" I waved him off.

"I told him at the beginning of the month, so he's known for a long time, and he doesn't mind. I'm sure he took it as a challenge to see how strong he got while I'm gone." I then lifted the bowl and drank the rest of the juice before setting it down and placing some money beside it. "Keep the change." I told him as I stood up and began moving the curtain away.

"You have a safe trip Harmony!" Teuchi said. I gave him and his daughter a wave.

"I will. I'll see you too later." I told them before I exited the ramen stand and walked out into the mid-morning air, seeing the streets beginning to fill.

'I guess it's time to get going.' I thought to myself as I lifted the hood on my dark green cloak and began weaving myself though the crowd, a hand on the small bag that has strung across my shoulder.

'Just make sure you get this done fast. We don't want to keep Rin waiting.'

'You've developed quite a soft spot haven't you?'

'Shut it bitch.' Suteki snapped back at me as I covered my chuckle was a walked through the crowed and then reached my first destination. The Uchiha compound. I walked in and ducked into Sasuke's house and set his kunia's and a letter onto his letter before ducking back out and rejoined the crowed. I did the same thing at Sakura's house (I had to jump into her bedroom because her parents where home) and at Naruto's. I lingered slightly at my brother’s house before I sat down on one of his chairs, re-reading the letter that I have written to all of them.

Dear Sasuke/Naruto/Sakura

I was hoping I could say this all to you in person, but as it turned out some things came up and I wasn't able too, (I really don't like Hospitals) so I have to say this in this letter. I'm going to be training outside the village for a while, and I'm going to miss you dearly, after all, we are the misfit squad 7...

I promise I will be back, and I also promise I will answer any question any of you may have.

I'll see you guys in a couple of years. Train hard so when I come back when we spar it will at least somewhat of a challenge! But don't expect me to be just sitting around either!

Love Harmony, Rin, and Nala.

P.S. And if Hatake pulls out his little 'books' while training, get Sasuke to light them on fire.

I sighed before I placed it back onto his table and walked out of his home. The last thing I saw was the photo I drew for him which I angled it so it would be the first thing he saw when he walked in.

"One more place to go." With that I jumped onto the apartment's roof and ran on the roofs to avoid the crowd, wanting to get the final stop over and done with. 'In and out.'

After a minute or two of running I spotted the house that was the last stop on my list, so I quickly jumped down and landed silently in front of the door, making sure my hood covered my face before I tested the door, unlocked. I smiled and slowly opened the door, letting the late morning sun dissipate the darkness in the house. I slowly walked in and walked to his kitchen, knowing the floor plan by heart. After I reached the kitchen, like the others I reached into the small bag and pulled out a small trinket and placed it on his table, a necklace with a fang shaped steel looking crystal in the center. It almost looked like it was glowing in the dark room from the chakra contain on the inside. Like I had said before, I don't want him dying on Naruto, so I had made him this. I gave the room a quick scan before I turned around and began making my way out.

"Nice of you to drop by Harmony."

'Oooooooo. Buuuusted.' Suteki said when I froze, halfway out of the kitchen door. I sighed, knowing it was true, turned around to face him and lowered my hood.

"I thought you were at the hospital to visit with Sasuke. Heard he should be waking up soon." I said to Hatake who stood across the room, arms crossed and his boxers with his ace covered with his tanktop+mask shirt. I mentally swore for not noticing, and other things as I fought off a blush trying to creep up my face. Hatake didn't answer me, but looked down at what I layed down on the table. I too looked at it.

"Don't think I'm going to let you die while I'm gone." I told him when I looked back at him. Me talking made him look at me in curiosity. "You're my brother's and squad’s sensei. I'm placing them in your care, so don't disappoint me." I told him before I began making my way out of his home, but I only got a few more feet till my arm was yanked back and my body was enveloped in warmth. I was slightly confused by his actions. The last time I remember him really hugging me was some time after his father death. Before I had been hugging him to try and comfort him, but one night I had snuck out and found him at the K.I.A. stone. He hadn't said anything, just hugged me. If I was the same girl I was then I would have been very happy that he was doing this, but I'm not, so I was not enjoying it.

"You know. I still have your charm." Hatake said as he held me tight and placed him chin on my head. I struggled to get out of his grasp.

"You can keep it. I have no use for it." I growled at him." Now, let. Go. Of. Me."

'Always so harsh... Tsk tsk.' Suteki said, not helping the mood I was in. I struggled more against his hold till I finally broke it and punched him right in the face. 'That felt good.' I though back as I watched him stumble lightly from the unexpected hit.

"Don't touch me. I may have been civil to you a few days ago, but don't think that we will go back to the way we were. Not now. I still can't forgive you. Good bye, Little Fang." The was the last thing I said before I ran out of his house and once again ran along the roof tops to avoid the crowd so I could quickly grab Rin and be gone. As I ran, a cold piece of ice bounced against my chest under my shirt. A piece of ice in the shape of a fang with my clan symbol engraved on the front.

I didn't have a use for an old charm when I had a new one already on me.

"Bye Kohnamaru, Moegi, Udon! I'll see you guys when I get back!" Rin yelled at her friends before running up to meet me at the tree swing, her ribbon tied pigtails bouncing up and down as she ran. I smiled as I stuffed the last of my new scrolls into my small bag and backpack. They contained everything Rin would need to learn in the next few years, and I plan to make good use of them.

'We ready to go?' Nala asked as she rubbed against my legs.

"I think so. Rin?" She nodded her head.

"Mhm! I've said goodbye to everyone. It's a little sad to be saying goodbye, but I know I'll be seeing them again so it hurts a little less." She said with a smile.

"That's right, my pequeña flor. And just wait. When we get back you'll be able to show everyone how strong you are!" I cheered as I ruffled her pigtails, making her try and get away, laughing. "Now we better get going. I've already cleared this with Hokage-Obasan." I then handed Rin an identical cloak as mine. They were good for traveling because they blocked out rain, sun, wind, and if we ran into trouble, they could help us camouflage with the forest. Rin hurried put her's on, leaving the hood down like me and began walking through the village. Because it was now almost noon there was some people out, but not much.

'So, what did lady Hokage say when you told her?' Nala asked as we neared the gates.

"Not much. She was there when it first happen so she could understand." I said as I gripped the upper part of my right arm, now out of habit.

---Flashback---

"You really are going Harmony? So soon after you just back? ‘Shizune asked as she walked to Obasan's office, Tonton in her arms. I could hear the concern in her voice. I nodded my head.

"Yeah. It's best if I go now." I told her. She sighed and stopped in front of Obasan's door.

"Well... I understand." She said before she opened it, revealing Tsunade-Obasan standing behind her desk, looking out though the window, back to us. I took a deep breath before stepping inside.

"Hokage-Obasan, I just wanted to tell you beforehand that I will be leaving soon." I told her as I walked towards her.

"I see. Are you sure that it is the best plan? The village needs all the strength it can get, and you leaving will reduce that strength." She said, bot moving from her spot.

"I know that. But I also know you have many more shinobis that are ten times a strong as me, so me leaving for a while won't do much. Besides, you saw what happened. You even talked with her. How can I live a normal life if that happens daily? What would happen if I was on a mission and that happened? Not only would I be jeopardizing the mission, but my comrades and myself. I can't let that happen. That's why I have to leave." I then turned to her and smiled. "Besides, if I'm traveling throughout the nations I can be an avocet for the Leaf. You know, strengthen our ties to the other Hidden Villages. It will give me a chance to get better with my transformation jutsu as well if I do so, because no way would they let a 15 year old from a dead clan just waltz right in." She tapped her chin in thought.

"That could be a good idea, and that way you would have to send updates frequently, so then I would know that you are safe. Fine. I agree with your plan. But I suggest you work with the Hidden Sand first of all, seeing as they will need a new Kazekage, and that they will need some help and support." She turned and sat down in her chair. Shizune, who was listening, already had an official-looking scroll rolled out on her desk. Tsunade wrote on it for a few seconds before placing some chakra in it, for security reason, before rolling it up, tying it with some red string, and handing it to me." "Here. This is a statement for the Hidden Sand saying I am sending you to help them as they chose the Kazekage, and that you will be an allied diplomat if they so need it." I grabbed the scroll with a smile then bowed.

"It would be an honor, Hokage-sama."

"Dismissed. And be safe." She said when I rose. I nodded my head.

"I have to be. I'm not the only one traveling. I have to look out for the safety of my sister, my partner, and the will of fire that is in me."

-----Back to present------

"I admit, being a diplomat will not be easy, but it will give us a chance to get closer with the Hidden Sand, though most likely all I'll be doing will be standing around and giving reports to Obasan." I told Nala, not worrying about letting Rin hear me. She will sooner or later understand what's going on, but for now she was going along for the ride with a smile on her face and not a care in the world.

"Onee-chan, I have a question. Who are those two odd men?" The said girl said and was pointing at Izumo and Kotetsu who were both at their stand. Well, to be a little more detailed, Kotetsu was leaning back dangerously on his chair, eating some syrup start out of the bottle with Izumo was lecturing him in his cleanliness seeing as his feet was on the desk and reports. It was quite funny to watch.

"Oh, they are nothing to worry about." I said with a laugh, before calling out to the two. "Kotetsu, Izumo! I thought guarding the gates was a serious business!" Even though what I said sounded serious, I could keep the light tone out of my voice as we neared them and caught their attention.

"Oi, hey Harmony." Kotetsu said as he stopped drinking his syrup and leaned back down on the chair, resting his arms on the desk with a smile and a wave.
