Chapter 49 - A filler chapter that isn't a filler chapter, but still is. :S

"You really do push yourself to hard sometimes Lee." I whispered to his sleeping form. From what I had heard he was once again pushed himself to far this morning, the news of him getting the surgery just added fuel to the fire, making him train till he fell unconscious. When I had gotten to his room early in the morning he was already out and had still to awaken. Looking down at him again I sighed and looked at the clock that was on the other side of the room. 10:27. 'I better get going. I told Rin that I would take her to the academy today... I hope letting her stay for a month was the right thing.' I turned back to Lee and gave the hand I was holding a squeeze.

"I have to get going Lee, but I want you to know that you are amazing and that you should never not strive to do your best, in anything. It does matter if it's as a shinobi of the Leaf or being a great friend. I just wanted to tell you that." I told him. I was just about to let go and leave but I felt his hand tighten in mine slightly and a faint blush crossed his cheeks so I added. "Oh and remember, Sakura is a waaaaaay better choice for you. You'll see why in about 3/ 3 and a half year. Believe me, I'm no angel, and any wings you may see on me are definitely not real." After I said what he used to call me before the chunin exams I stood up quickly and calmly walked to the door. I opened the door and walked half way out before turning and giving Lee (who was now awake and looking at me) a playful wink.

"See yeah Lee. Good acting, you almost had me fooled, almost." I told him before steeping out and closing the door being me.

'Flirt.' Suteki said as I walked down the hallway at a brisk pace.

'What give you that idea? I was just joking around with him. Besides it's his fault for pretending to be asleep the whole time. There was stuff i wanted to talk to him about before I had to go.'

'Then why you wink at him, hmmmmmmmmm?'

'...You are disturbing Suteki. He’s like what, 12 years younger than me? Gross, besides, he's a mini Gai, and that say enough. Do you know how many nightmares he's eyebrows gave me when we were kids? Figure of speech of course though, but still, I still get shivers when I think about him.'

'But right now Lee's about one year younger, not 12.'

'And that's going to last what, 3-4 months if I'm lucky? Believe me Suteki, Lee is not, nor was ever a love interest. Hell! When I first saw him I ran for the hills!!'

'Hmmm... Hehe. I thought that it was Gai that you ran from.' I could hear the insanity slowing seeping into her voice now as I opened the doors in the hospital lobby, letting myself out.

'No, I kinda couldn't because he had me in a giant hug that I couldn't get out of. Me and my big stupid mouth. If I had never commented on his insane training methods then he would have never noticed me and then then would have called me melody-chan and his little music note...' I stopped walking when I realized something, making a cold sweat break out on my forehead and my face visibly go as white as a ghost. 'Oh god. When I come back I'm going to be the same age as him... He might start doing all the things that he did as a kid to me again!!! NOOO!!!!!'

'What are you freaking about now Harmony?' A new voice popped into my head. It was female like Suteki's but much younger, belonging to a kitten that I had taken in a long time ago as my fighting partner and friend.

"Nala!" I cried out loud and scoped the small kitten up and plunked her onto my left shoulder. "Where have you been?! I was hoping to do some early morning training with you, but you were gone by the time I woke up."

'... Sorry.... I went to go and say hi to a few people.' Nala said, but wouldn't look at me in the eyes, making me suspicious.

"You where window shopping weren't you..?" I asked her with narrow eyes and began scratching under her chin, a spot her can't resist.

'Noo... I... Um... FINE!!' With that she yanked her head away from my hand and gave me a menacing glare, especially since her one ear with the bell looked ready to twitch and send me into a genjutsu. 'Yes I was window shopping!! It's a habit!!! What did you expect me to do besides worry and train for a full month as I waited?!'

"I said I was sorry that I sent you back, but I had to be careful, and you are one of the people I trust the most. By the way, who were you staying with anyways?"

'Ummm... No one.' Nala relied quickly. My eyes narrowed again.

"Nala."

'Bet you she stayed with Lover Boy!!!!! That would make my day!!!!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!'

'Who's this lover boy you've been ranting about for the past day? Everything you say something you mentioning him.'

'If you don't know by now, then I'm not telling you. Hehehehehe. Not telling! Not telling!' I groaned and placed my forehead in my palm as I shook my head. Ever since I had sent Nala back home with Sasuke, Suteki has been seeming more and more normal, but now that I was back around Nala and other sane people, I realized I was just getting use to her insane rambling.

"Nala, you have no idea how happy I am that I have you around again. I swear, if I had to deal with her for another week alone I would probably be saying the same stuff she is."

'Why? What's she saying?' Nala asked me, concerned.

"Something about you staying with this Lover Boy or something. She's been almost chanting something about him since we went to visit Hatake yesterday. It's starting to get on my nerves."

'You went to go and visit Kakashi yesterday? I thought you would rather die than see him.'

"I would, and still do. But Naruto and Suteki have been telling me both that I should maybe give him a second chance... And, I'm not sure right now.... Now enough about me, you still haven't told me where in the hell you've been for the past month, and don't just brush it off like before, or no fish with dinner tonight.'

'WHAT?!?! CRUELTY!!! I CALL THAT CRUELTY TO CATS AROUND THE WORLD!!!'

"Well then, if you want fish, you better tell me who you've been staying with." After I asked her that she gave a soft cat sigh and I felt her tail twitch a little against the other side of my face.

'Well, before Gai and I came back to the village, you told me to protect Sasuke till you got back. So... That's what I've been doing. I think this is the longest I've been out of the hospital since we came back.'

'So you were by his side for a full month as he slept?' I couldn't help but feel proud. She really did protect him like I said.

'Well, I wasn't all ways by his side. When Sakura or Ino, or some of the other genins came to visit I would give them some space and go visit someone other people, go window shopping, or train for a little bit.' I couldn't help but laugh a little when she said window shopping. Of all cats, mine had to love shopping.

'Who were the other people you visited?'

'Lee...' She said, but then stopped for a few seconds. 'And Kakashi... I know you aren't too happy with him, but I can't help but feel like he is still a teammate, and maybe even family... He really is sad about the two of you not being friends any more Harmony...' I looked at her to stop her.

"Look, I've heard about this enough. I don't think I'm ready to forgive him, and it doesn't matter how many people tell me I should. I just need more time." I told her as I slowly walked up to the hotel. I closed my eyes in frustration. "This is why I hate people talking about my fights with Kakashi. No matter what happens I can never stay mad at him because when someone, anyone, points out something about out fight that was meaningless, or that we should forgive and forget, I start thinking about it and I realize that I'm not mad anymore. But I don't want that to happen anymore. I want to forgive and forget when I think I'm ready. And besides, I told him that I blamed him for Obito's death, which I still do a little! That's not something one can forget about after a month, or even years!" I shook my head violently.

"No. I don't care if he is sad that we aren't friends. I've thought about maybe giving him a second chance, but I just can't."

'I understand...' Nala said as we reached the door to our room. I gave her a sad smile before putting the key in the lock, unlocking it, and then stepping inside, taking my shoes and jacket off, letting them just pool on the ground. My sad smile turned into a happy one when I saw Naruto and Rin still cuddling up together, even though it was so late in the morning.

'You know... It's kinda disturbing have the two of the sleep like that. I MEAN they're like brother and sister!!! Gross!'

'Shut It., you're gross. I find it cute. They both need someone to hang onto. I was worried before that Rin wouldn't accept him because she was all ways by my side, but now I don't think I need to worry. She needs her big brother just as much as her big sister. Besides, she's only 7. When I was 7 I could only dream of being comforted by my older brother like he use to...' I told her before I quickly walked up to them and pocked the two in their sides, only to get no response, so i tried it again.

"Naaaruto. Riiin. Time to get uuup." I spoke softly as I light shook them, only making Naruto groan, saying something un-intelligent, and to Rin to move away from me and cling even more to Naruto.

'I don't think the nice-nice way is going to work.' Nala said as she jumped onto the foot of the bed, looking at my predicament. I nodded and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Yeah, looks like I'm going to have to try something a little different..." I told her with a smirk before I patted her on a head. "Nala, if you could ever so please push them to the edge of the bed."

"Got it." She said before changing her size to that of a large dog and walked over to Rin's side, gentily pushing her and Naruto with her head till the where close to the edge of the bed. When I deemed them close enough I snuck over to Naruto who was nearly falling over and smiled when i saw that he was hanging onto Rin softly and took a deep breath.

"NARUTO UZUMAKI, GET YOU BIG FAT, RAMEN LOVING ASS OUT OF BED!!!!"

"WHA- AHH!!!!" Naruto yelled as he jumped and fell off the side of the bed, dragging the now awake, and also screaming Rin (who tried to stay in bed by bring the covers with her) onto the floor in a big messy pile. With heads, legs, arms, and sheets everywhere on the floor, Nala and I could only hold out for a few seconds before we joined the on the floor, laughing.

"What in the hell was that for?!?!!?" Naruto yelled as he tried to untangled him and Rin, only to fail miserable, making me laugh even harder.

''Hahahahahahah... Oh god, I wish we had the camera ready! That would have been puurfect!!!' Nala chuckled from the bed that she hopped onto to get a better look as I tried some deep breaths to calm myself down so I could at least talk.

"It's your guys' own fault." I told them as I wiped my eyes from tears. "You shouldn't have gotten up sooner. Remember Naruto, I was going to take Rin to the academy and then we were going to train for a little bit with Nala." After the words 'academy' and 'training' popped out of my mouth Rin and Naruto started to struggle even more.

"Naruto-nii!!! Get us out of here! I got to go to school!!!" Rin yelled as she furiously began trying to untangle herself. I couldn't help but chuckle a little when I saw the queen of knots accidently tie her legs together.

'I think that's the first time I've ever seen a kid wanting to go to school.... Weird child... hahaha... You have weird siblings.'

"I'm trying! I'm trying!!" Naruto responded. "Arrg!! This is hopeless!!! Shadow Clone jutsu!" Naruto cried when he managed at get both of his hands free, making four more clones to help them out. After that it only took about one more minutes for them to get out of their prison and was standing before me, in pj's and messy hair.

'Well... Now that the two are up I suggest we take our leave so that they can get ready.... Like now.' Nala said to me as all but one of the clones disappeared, which just happened to be the closer one to her.

"I agree. RUN!!!!!" I saw the look at Naruto and Rin where giving me and jumped up, bolting for the door, and just barley having enough time to scoop up my jacket and shoes and make it out the door with Nala. I think that if I hadn't had made it out the only way I would have, would have been in a body bag.

"Now make sure not to tie anyone up, okay Rin? It's only okay to do that to Jiriya-ojisan." I told Rin as we walked down the academy. Naruto went with us part way, but the left saying he was going to the hospital to see if Sakura was still there. Rin nodded her head up and down so fast as I spoke I was afraid it would fall off before grabbing my hand once again and pulling so I would go faster.

"Come one onee-chan! I'm going to be late!" She whined as she pulled on my hand again; making me laugh and slow down just to bug her, only making her stop, pout, then kick me in the shins. One would think that a cute little 7-year-old girl with red-ribbon tied pigtails, a baggy yellow t-shirt, orange goggles, skirt and legging, would never kick her old sister in the shins about being late for school! One would think that would only happen when they didn't want to go to school.

'Again. Weird kid.'

'Shut it.' I told Suteki before I gave in and began walking again. Luckily the academy/Hokage office was very close by. By the way that kids where running around I could tell that it was lunch time.

"Oi! Konohamaru! Moegi! Udon!" I called out when I saw a certain goggle wearing trio by the tree swing. When they heard me call then they lookup up and walked over to me.

"Hey! It's the boss' sister!" Konohamaru said as they ran/walked over to us.

"Oh, so Naruto already told you about Rin?" I asked them, a little confused. This was our second day back in village. Did word really travel that fast?

"Who's Rin, Harmony-chan?" Moegi asked me, looking at me strangely...

"Yeah. Konohamaru was taking about you." Udon pointed out, with his snot still dangling. I stood there for a few seconds before I realized what he was talking about... I never really did tell them i was Naruto's sister, so before we left Naruto must have told them, either that or they were spying on us one day and heard me call him otouto. I'll take it it's the latter.

"Riiight... Didn't know you three knew... Well, to answer your question Moegi, this is Rin, Naruto and my younger sister." I said and motioned to where Rin was standing. Only to notice that she wasn't standing there anymore, but now behind my legs, hiding.

"Actually Onee-chan. I'm okay with not going today." Rin whispered and she hugged my legs as she hid. I looked at her and then that the trio, holding up a single finger.

"One minute guys. She's not every good with meeting new people." I told them before I pried Rin's hands off and knelt down in front of her, a hand on each shoulder. "Rin, I know that that's a lie, and it's okay to be little shy. But these three are really good kids. A little messed up like Naruto, but still good. And look, they're all wearing goggles too! So why don't you say hi?" Rin looked down at the ground, unsure.

"I'll let you take Nala with you." I told her with a smile, making her head snap up.

'WHAT?!?!?!?!' Nala yelled in my mind, up outside it sounded like a giant hiss. Rin grinned from ear to ear and grabbed Nala, held her close *cough strangling* and stood beside me again.

"Ummm... K-Konnichiwa, my name is Rin Kakureta Flor...” She said shyly, not looking up at them and gave a little bow.

"Hey, you wear goggles too!!!" Moegi said, pointing at the ones around Rin's neck, or what she could see because Rin quickly blocked their view of them with Nala, a faint red now present on her cheeks.

"T-They were a present from Onee-chan when s-she found m-me. She was very kind, g-giving me food, telling me stories, and g-giving me her g-goggle."

"Uh? What do you mean found you? You a street kid or something?" a little rudely Konohamaru said, making the faint blush on her cheeks intensify, but now in shame. I placed a hand on her head.

"Yes, she was on the streets, and I took her in. She's now Naruto and my little sister. So respect her and give her some space. I don't think your boss will think too kindly to you bulling his only lil'sis." I told them. Konohamaru looked a little shocked, but quickly tried to salute her in respect, only to trip on the end of his scarf, face planting by Rin's feet.

"Are you okay?!" Moegi and Rin said at the same him and knelt down at check on him. (Rin thankfully let go of Nala.) Udon also came over and help him up, even though he was playing it thought, I could see how red his face was from the fall.

'I think it’s time to take our leave.' Nala said was she stepped over besides me.

'Are you sure you're not just trying to get out of Rin's clutches?' I asked her and I picked her up in my arms, her front paws resting on my shoulder, looking at the four kids as the laughed at Konohamaru's clumsiness.

'Okay, that and I think she will be okay. I can tell, they are going to become good friends, even though she is a year younger than them.' I couldn't help but agree with her when I saw Konohamaru stand up and hold out his hand for Rin to take, who took it shyly, but still took it.
