A Year Later...

After being accepted by Mia's family, a huge weight had been lifted off of Sebastian's shoulders. Although, every now and then, he still received disapproving glares from Aaron.

The next year was spent in complete happiness for the couple and their friends.

Sebastian was determined to make true on his promise, to make Mia feel special.

He planned dates in accordance to that. He took Mia to the zoo, ice-skating, bowling and all other kind of high school dates. He wanted to make up for time that he lost by being an idiot, despite the fact that Mia wanted him to move on from it all like she had.

After a a long time in the works, today was finally the day Aaron and Melissa got married.

The two wanted to wait till after their baby was born, so that she could be part of it too. So after their baby, Alissa, was born, the couple started on planning for their big day, which had finally arrived.

"What are you doing?" Sebastian asked Blake, who eyes were searching for someone during the wedding reception, held in a lavish hall.

"Looking for a certain bridesmaid?" Sebastian smirked.

The bridesmaid in question was of course Nicole.

About a year ago, Mia had thought that it would be a great idea to introduce Blake and Nicole, with the idea that they would be great together. Unfortunately, so far no progress had been made, with Nicole being adamant that Blake was an idiot.

A weird smile formed on Blake's face. "She told me to leave her the fuck alone," he informed Sebastian, who didn't quite seem to understand why he was grinning at yet another rejection.

"And did you?" Sebastian asked him.

Blake's grin grew even wider. "Nope," he replied, and then grimaced. "But then she punched me!"

Not being able to help himself, Sebastian let out a laugh at this.

Blake punched him shoulder, a deep scowl present on his face.

"Don't laugh, prick. It fucking hurt," he said, rubbing the sore place on his arm where Nicole had punched him.

Sebastian shook his head.

"And you're still after her?" He asked Blake, slightly worried for his friend.

When Mia had come up with the idea of introducing the pair, Sebastian whole-heartedly agreed at that time, purely for his own amusement, knowing all too well what Nicole was like.

However, it was safe to say the date didn't go well. It barely started.

Blake just shrugged at the question. "What can I say? I love a challenge and this girl is too intriguing for me to stay away from," he said, his eyes still searching across the hall.

A smirk seemed to form on his face, when he spotted Nicole talking to Chloe and Mason.

"Sounds about right," Sebastian chuckled, knowing exactly how Blake reacts to a challenge, but his money was on Nicole this time.

The interactions that he'd had with Nicole, were enough to indicate that she was not someone you could easily wear down. She was most definitely a fighter, who clearly packed a punch.

"Where's your girl?" Blake then asked.

Sebastian's eyes roamed around the hall and when they couldn't seem to find Mia, he frowned.

"I'm about to go find out," he said, and walked away, like a man on a mission.

After a few minutes of searching, Sebastian seemed to be growing restless when he couldn't find Mia, but she instead found him first, standing at the edge of the dance floor.

"Hi," Mia smiled at Sebastian, wrapping her arms around his waist to give him a hug.

Finding a sense of peace as Mia hugged him, Sebastian sighed contently, before wrapping his own arms around her.

"Hi," he replied and kissed the top of her head. "I was just about to send out a search party for you."

Mia then released a tired breath.

"I wish you would've," she mumbled into Sebastian's chest, and he pulled away from the hug to look at her.

"I never realised that being a maid of honour, was such an enduring task. I love Melissa, but I won't lie, in these last couple of months I've wanted to kill her," she ranted, her frustration and tiredness getting the better of her.

Sebastian couldn't help but laugh at Mia's cute, little angry expression. He loved the way her nose wrinkled whenever she was angry or ranting.

"It can't be that bad," he chuckled.

Mia didn't like that she was being laughed at, and smacked Sebastian's chest, whilst still being in his arms.

"Don't laugh. It was torture," she said dramatically.

Sebastian leaned down and kissed her cheek, to calm her down.

"Well, I'm glad to have my girlfriend back now," he said, which caused Mia to immediately smile, her frustration evaporating.

"I'm glad to be back" she smiled, tilting up her head at him. "I'm all yours now," she whispered, which caused Sebastian to smirk.

Instead of kissing her, like she wanted him to, Sebastian couldn't help tease her a little more.

"Don't think, I didn't see you getting all misty-eyed up there," he then said, referring to when the ceremony was taking place earlier.

Mia then narrowed her eyes at Sebastian. "You mouthed, 'I love you', standing next to Aaron, when the priest was reading that heartfelt passage. How could I not?" She pouted.

Sebastian then grinned, lowering his lips to Mia's ears, "You looked so damn beautiful. You're just lucky I didn't shout it out," he told her, placing a quick kiss on her neck, which caused her to shiver slightly.

"You're an idiot," Mia laughed.

"Your idiot," Sebastian then replied, wiggling his brows.

"Dork," she muttered, as his lips moved closer to hers.

"Nerd," he then retorted, before closing that gap between them.

The pair continued to stand at the edge of the dance floor, with Sebastian holding Mia from the back. Their eyes were fixed on all the couples that were on the dance floor, including the newly married couple, who were gazing into each other's eyes whilst dancing.

"Someday, I want this," Mia said, looking at Aaron and Melissa.

"What?" Sebastian asked her.

Mia turned in his arms, so that they were now facing each other once again, with her hands against his chest.

"Not now, but sometime in the future. I want this," she said. "I want to be that happy couple on the dance floor, who sees no one else, but each other. I want that, with you."

The smile that graced her face, was on that caused Sebastian's heart to race.

He then raised a brow.

"Is that you proposing?" He joked.

Mia rolled her eyes at him, for ruining the moment they were just having.

"No, I'm just letting you know my plans in case you're thinking to run," she said with a shrug, and then turned her back to Sebastian once again.

"Never," Sebastian hugged her, kissing her temple. "Besides, you forget that I already popped the question to you," he added, looking towards the ring on her left hand.

Three months ago, Sebastian decided to ask Mia the question that he'd been planned to ask, ever since she'd introduced him to her parents.

He'd had it planned for a while, since he knew that he was bloody awkward when it came to doing anything romantic. The last thing that he wanted to do, was blurt out the proposal in the middle of dinner, even though he'd come pretty close to doing that.

He knew that Mia would agree to that kind of proposal anytime, but she deserved something more special and so, he tried to give her that...

Three months ago...

"You have a note and a box," Nicole declared, barging into Mia's room unannounced, as Chloe curled her hair for her.

She held a large white box in her hands, that had a black satin ribbing tied around it, in a large bow. The note was tucked inside the bow, the corners peeking out slightly.

Mia looked at the box in confusion, wondering what it was, since she didn't remember ordering anything at all. Certainly not anything that would come inside a fancy box like this.

"Open in," Nicole urged her, since she too wanted to know what its' contents were.

Chloe moved back, setting aside the curler, so that Mia could get up from her seat at the dresser, her hair half-done.

She moved towards the box, that Nicole had now placed on the bed, and then reached out and grabbed the note first.

When she turned it around, Mia immediately smiled.

Before even reading the words, she recognised that the note was from her own personalised stationary set, that she'd left at Sebastian's place.

Mia always liked writing notes, and so, she'd left a few blank ones at his place for any time she wanted to be cute and write him something. Even if it were just a cheesy joke.

Her lips then formed a wide grin, when she did finally read the note.

Mia, my love. I hope you like this.

Yours, Sebastian.

She gently shook her head. Just way he'd written yours, caused her heart to flutter.

Mia then placed the note on her bed, and then untied the ribbon on the box.

As soon as she opened it, saw a deep-red material peeking through the tissue paper that it was wrapped it. Mia opened it up more and let out a loud gasp, when she held the material up towards her.

It was a dress. The most stunning dress she had ever seen. She couldn't even take her eyes off of it. This was probably the most prettiest, and most likely expensive, piece of clothing she'd ever own.

"That's it. I'm finding myself a rich man," Nicole huffed out.

"It's gorgeous, Mia." Chloe then told her and all she could do was nod.

It was as if she were stuck in a trance, just looking at the garment, unbelieving that Sebastian would gift her something so beautiful.

"I guess you won't be needing me to help you get dressed, for this date?" Nicole laughed.

Mia shook her head. "I guess not," she replied, finally regaining her speech.

After she had put on the dress, Mia was convinced that no other piece of clothing would now compare. She never wanted to take it off. The bustier detail, fit her body perfectly, the design going from her chest to reach her mid-thigh, covering her modesty. The lace detail over it, that started at her mid-riff, and went all the way down to her feet, and it made her feel like a princess.

When she left her flat, she smiled as she saw the car waiting for her.

"Hello, Sir Moses." She greeted the man who would be driving her for the evening.

Moses had worked at Carter, as the security guard in the lobby. He was someone that would always greet her with a smile, and she would return the gesture the same.

Apparently, Moses's brother worked for a town car hire service, which Moses would then sometimes help out in. Since, Mia had told Sebastian about Moses many times, he then decided that whenever he needed a car service, he would ask Moses.

What Mia hadn't realised was that Sebastian intended on her being driven to work. When he wasn't able to drive her, he'd hire Moses, since he didn't want her to take public transport as she used to.

The gesture was sweet to Mia, and although she tried to refuse, which nearly led to an argument somehow, she relented. Especially when it meant a better outcome for Moses, who was now paid a lot more.

"You look beautiful, Miss Mia," Moses then compliment her, as he held the car door open.

"Thank you," she smiled, and then got into the backseat.

"We have a slight detour this evening," he then told her, just as he slipped into the driver seat.

Mia furrowed her brows in confusion. "What?" She asked him.

"Mr Carter's orders," Moses said and then reached into his pocket, and pulled out a note. "He said to give you this."

He passed Mia the note, who took it from him, still puzzled at what was going on.

I've planned a little something more private for our date. See you soon, love.

Yours, Sebastian.

Mia read the note twice, but didn't say anything. Her mind was just at a loss. It got even worse, when Moses had begun to drive through a very familiar road.

It was the park. Her park. The one where she used to come to before, her happy place. It was also the place where she had confessed her feelings for Sebastian, whilst he did the same.

When Moses began to slow the car down and pulled up to park, Mia saw Sebastian waiting for her already, stood by his own car, and she smiled.

"Have nice evening, Miss Mia." Moses told her, as Sebastian opened her door for her, holding out a hand for her to take.

"Thank you, Sir Moses." Mia replied, before stepping out of the car.

Once she was out the car, Moses had left, and it then it was just Sebastian and her.

"You look breathtaking," he told her immediately, his eyes travelling down her whole form.

He'd picked out the dress for her, after tirelessly searching for hours in the stores. He was so ready to give up, until he saw the red colour calling out to him, and he knew it was the one for her. And now, it looked a whole lot better than he could've imagined.

"Thanks to you," Mia grinned and did a little courtesy. "This dress is beautiful."

Sebastian shook his head. "No, that's all you," he told her, brushed her hair off her shoulder, his fingers grazing over her bare shoulder.

"You look very handsome," Mia then complimented him.

Handsome was not even enough of a word. Every now and the, Mia would forget how insanely gorgeous her man was, but then in times like this, she was pleasantly reminded.

Sebastian wore an all-black outfit. There was a slight different in the shade of his shirt and the suit, but the obsidian colour was all that was there. It just managed to define his taut muscles, his broad chest and wide shoulders. He'd not worn a tie, instead leave his top-button exposed, his skin peaking through like the sun on a cloudy day.

Mia felt this urge to just jump him.

Little did she know, Sebastian was having a hard time holding back too.

"Come on then," he then said, and just as Mia took a step forward, he bent down and swooped her up in his arms, causing her to let out a squeak.

"What are you doing?" She asked, holding onto his shoulders.

"Your heels might dig into the grass," he replied nonchalantly and carried on walking, trying to ignore that he could feel the heat of her skin, through the lace overlay of her dress.

Mia smiled, only for that to turn into a full-blown grin, when she realised he was taking her towards the familiar swing, and that it had now been decorated.

"Did you do all of this?" She asked in awe.

"I planned this, yes." Sebastian replied.

The swing that hung from the tree, now had fairy lights twisted around the rope that held it. A bouquet of Calla lilies rested on top of the wooden swing-seat, a red ribbon tied around it.

A white tent had been set top, inside it, a round white table and two chairs opposite each other. A bottle of champagne, sat in a bucket of ice, next to it, two tall flutes. Around the tent, little white lanterns, enough of them to provide warm lighting to the dusky evening.

Sebastian walked up to the swing, Mia in his arms. She grabbed onto the bouquet, just before he gently sat her on the swing.

"This is amazing," Mia breathed out, trying to take in her surroundings.

"I take it, you like it?" Sebastian asked, amused by her expression.

Mia let out a laugh. "How am I ever going to plan something as special as this?"

"You won't have to. Leave it on me," Sebastian replied.

As she shook her head, Mia couldn't believe how lucky she was, to be with someone like him.

"This is something out of a fairytale. A pure dream. Absolutely beautiful," Mia said, as she breathed in the scent of the flowers, everything around her feeling like pure magic.

Sebastian had managed to take away all the pain and hurt in her life, and the recent stress of wedding planning with Melissa, replacing it all with sheer happiness.

"I'm glad you feel that way," Sebastian smiled.

His heart was hammering against his chest. He'd been preparing himself for months, and yet it didn't seem like enough time.

"Why are you still standing? Come, sit with me," Mia held out her left hand towards him, when she noticed that he was just stood in front of her, gazing down at her with that look in his eyes.

Sebastian took a deep breath, before he took her hand, but instead of sitting down next to her, he dropped down on both knees.

Their position reminded Mia of how he knelt in front of her, before they confessed their feelings.

"Your suit," Mia smiled softly.

"I don't care," Sebastian replied, placing a kiss on the back of her than, that he still held within his.

A long time preparing, yet he still felt so nervous.

"Mia," he then said her name, as if his next breath, his next heartbeat was dependent on it.

As soon as he spoke, Mia knew something was about to happen. Something big. And suddenly, her pulse picked up speed.

"Sebastian? What are you doing?" She asked, both nervous and excited about his next move.

Down on his knees, Sebastian started to say the words he'd been holding onto for a long time.

"Mia, I love you," he started, and she took a shaky breath.

"I've loved you, since the moment I recognised the beautiful, strong, and courageous, person you are. I've been in love with you, way before you called yourself mine. I have loved you, since I realised what it felt like to be in love. I'm so happy that my path led me back to you," he said.

A sniffle left Mia, as she tried her best to contain her emotions, despite his every word caused a chaos of flutters within her chest.

When he reached into his pocket with his free hand, and took out a velvet box, another shaky breath left her lips. She was so overwhelmed with emotion, every positive emotion that one could feel.

Sebastian squeezed her left hand tightly, whilst the the gripped onto the tiny box, that contained his future happiness.

He'd asked Mia's father for permission beforehand, wanting to things the traditional way, and with not-so-thinly veiled threats, her father finally agreed.

Sebastian even asked Aaron for his blessing, and despite not liking his mate being with his little sister, he couldn't deny how happy he made her, so he too accepted.

He then kissed Mia's hand, his lips on that finger which would soon be wearing his ring, a representation of all his love.

"Mia, my love. My girl. My universe. Will you do me the honour of being my wife?" He finally asked her, his eyes locked onto her.

Mia had thought about getting married to Sebastian for some time now too, but assumed it would be later in the future.

However now, seeing him down on his knees, saying all those words that reflected the love and adoration he has for her, she didn't want to go a moment longer without the ring on her finger.

So, without a second thought, Mia replied.

"Fuck yeah!" with a grin.

Sebastian quickly, with shaky hands, opened the velvet box and pull out the diamond ring from its' little cushion.

He placed the ring on Mia's finger and it was a perfect fit, as if it always belonged there. As if it had found home, much like he had, with her.

Mia didn't even take the time to admire her ring, instead she cradled Sebastian's face in her hands, and pulled him in for a kiss.
