After Mia's confession, Sebastian and her relationship has only gotten stronger and reaching new heights of happiness, that neither one of the them thought was possible. There was just no bringing them down.

Sebastian's parents were so incredibly happy about his relationship with Mia. For them, it was as if they had just gained another daughter, another member of their family. They just adored her. She got on well with everyone, and even Sebastian's sister, Elizabeth, preferred Mia over him.

After she had integrated so well into Sebastian's family, Mia felt as if it were time that she introduced him to her parents as well.

She had held off from doing it before, since she wanted to be sure about him. However, now that Mia was certain that he would be a constant in her life, she wanted him to meet her loved ones too.

Her parents had met Sebastian before, as Aaron and him were best friends back in high-school. He'd even come over to her house to hang out with Aaron, and during those times, Mia would be holed up in her room, refusing to come out until he had left.

However, now things were very different.

Mia didn't want to wait too long before re-introducing Sebastian to her parents. He was important to her, as were they, and felt it should be done soon enough.

Her parents lived in a modest-home, since she belonged to a normal, middle-class family. The size of her home wasn't something she ever really noticed before, however it only popped up in her thoughts when she remembered how big Sebastian's parents' mansion was. The colossal size of their home, unintentionally made her think about difference between her world and his.

She didn't really care much about it, and neither did Sebastian. He had more money to his name, than she did, it was a fact, but it didn't change or effect their relationship. Plus, the minimalist way that Sebastian lived, it seemed had if he didn't have enough anyway.

"You're fidgeting," Mia noted, as Sebastian and her approached the door to her parent's home.

Ever since they had left his car, he had been fiddling with the collars of his shirt, or inspecting the arrangement of the flower bouquet, or checking to see if the champagne bottle was still intact inside the gift bag. He had bought the flowers and champagne for her parents, hoping to making a good first impression as her boyfriend.

"I'm nervous," Sebastian replied, as if it weren't clear enough.

He was about to run his hand through his hair, until Mia stopped him before he messed it up.

She held his hand in hers and looked at him in confusion, titling her head towards the side a little.

"Why?" She asked him.

Sebastian turned his eyes away from the flowers, to look at her in disbelief.

"Why!? I'm about to meet your parents!" He said in a loud whisper. He didn't want to say it too loud, in case her parents heard him.

His anxious state, amused Mia. She'd never really seen him this stressed before. There were times were he was nervous around her, but in that adorable way, that just made her want to kiss him. However, this was something altogether.

"So? I've met yours," Mia then countered, reminding him that she'd met his parents countless of times. When they had first met after all those years, she was on better terms with his father, than she was with him.

Sebastian shook his head. "But your parents must hate me?" He sadly replied.

Mia would've laughed, had it not been for his fallen expression.

"What makes you say that?" she asked.

He then sighed. "The whole prom incident thing? You went home crying because of it, and even started being home school. I wasn't the whole reason, but I certainly was part of it."

Mia slowly nodded, understanding his apprehension towards this meeting.

"They don't know," she then informed Sebastian, whose eyes immediately widened in her direction.

"What?" He asked her.

"They don't know the whole truth. Only Aaron does. My parents just thought I was being bullied," she told him.

Since Aaron was there during prom, he was aware of what happened, but Mia didn't want to worry her parents and chose not to tell them, even when she cried coming home from school. It wasn't an exact lie, she was being bullied, she just couldn't bring herself to tell her parents the reason for it.

"Oh," Sebastian said in return, stretching out the word.

Although he still felt bad about his behaviour, he was relieved too. At least he didn't have to face a thrashing from her parents today.

"Oh," Mia then repeated, letting out a chuckle as she did.

She then placed both her hands against his cheeks, smushing them together, and kissed his nose.

"So, stop worrying. They'll love you," she told him.

Sebastian leaned into one of her hands and managed to kiss the inside of her wrist.

"Besides, Aaron will be there too," Mia added on.

Sebastian let out a groan.

"Oh great," he sarcastically muttered.

Mia frowned.

"What's with that look now?" She questioned him, since she thought that little information would help his cause, rather than cause more worry.

"Now, he definitely hates me," Sebastian stated, without question.

He remembered all the curse words Aaron shouted down the phone, when he'd first learnt about his relationship with Mia. At certain points, he'd switched from English to French, and whilst Sebastian's barely understood the words, the anger in his tone was enough to make him realise they weren't nice words at all.

Mia hesitated for a second. She'd completely forgotten that whilst that little reunion lunch that she had organised went well, and they resolved issues, the fact that Sebastian and her were now in a relationship together hindered that happy reunion.

"He does not," she then tried to assure him, but it sounded like a lie to even herself.

"I was the reason his little sister cried every night. Now, I'm dating you. He's not going to like seeing me with you," Sebastian argued.

Mia knew it was true. She was well aware that Aaron's reaction was not going to be great at all, however, Sebastian was too special for her. She wasn't going to let him go.

She then leaned forward and circled her arms around Sebastian's waist, having to incline her head upwards due to his towering height. He then tilted his head down to look at her.

"Well, he should get used it, since I intend to keep you around for a long time," she grinned.

Sebastian couldn't help but chuckle. "Oh yeah?" He asked.

Mia nodded. "Yup."

"I'd like that," he replied and leaned down to close the gap between Mia and him, and placed his lips upon hers.

Unfortunately, a few seconds later the front door opened.

The happy couple hadn't even noticed, until a very angry voice interrupted them.

"Seriously, man? Get your hands off my baby sister," Aaron yelled.

Sebastian let out a slight groan and pulled away from Mia, whilst she blushed a deep red.

"Told you," he then whispered to Mia, who nudged his side with her elbow.

Aaron stepped towards Sebastian, and poked him in the chest.

"I told you to look out for her. Look out for her. Not to get with her," he said, and if Sebastian wasn't nervous before, he sure as hell was now.

"Aaron," Melissa then said, as she walked up to him from inside the house, her growing baby bump now a lot more prominent.

"No, the little-...Ow, Melissa," Aaron whined, rubbing the back of his head, before he could finish his words, as Melissa whacked the back of his head.

"Stop behaving like a little twat and then I won't smack you," she scolded him and then grinned at Mia.

"Now come on, Mia," she said and pulled her into the house, as Aaron stared Sebastian down, who quickly followed his girl.

As soon as Mia stepped into the living room and spotted her father, she sprinted into his open arms, with a wide smile on her face.

"Dad," she sighed contently, as her father's arms wrapped around her protectively, giving her that warmth and comfort she's always felt as a child.

Mia knew that she could grow up and move away from home, but for her father, she was always his little one.

"My little monkey," her Dad sighed deeply and hugged her tightly. "I've missed you," he mumbled against her hair, as they hugged.

Mia's Dad, Hamish Sareen, was always a stoic kind of man, yet he'd instantly melt at the sight of his daughter. All she had to do was smile and he'd put the world at her feet. She was his pride.

"I missed you too, Dad," Mia replied.

Her Dad then kissed the top of her head one more time, before they broke apart. Mia then looked the side, and noticed her Mum standing there.

"Hey, Mum." She greeted her.

Just as Mia moved forward to hug her too, she frowned when her Mum kept her arms folded against her chest, an unhappy expression on her face.

"Seriously? You hug your dad, before me?" She asked Mia with a pout.

Mia laughed her Mum's childlike behaviour.

"Love you too, Mum," she said, and pulled her in for a hug.

"Hug me first next time," her Mum whispered and Mia just laughed at her words.

Whilst Hamish was a stoic kind of man, Mia's Mum, Adelina, was a lot more expressive. She was happy and cheerful, the complete opposite to her husband.

When they leaned back, Mia saw her Mum smile, and that smile then turned a lot wider, when she just looked over Mia's shoulder.

"Who is this?" Adelina asked.

Mia turned around, and saw Sebastian standing there rather awkwardly in their living room, with Aaron glaring holes in the side of his head.

"Mum, Dad, this is Sebastian. My boyfriend. You actually might remember him. Aaron and Sebastian were in the same year together, back in high-school?" She told her parents.

She gestured for Sebastian to come forward, and he immediately complied.

"Oh, he does look familiar. Sebastian Carter, right? You used to love my cooking," Adelina said.

"I'm sure it's still great, as always," he replied.

Aaron then scoffed.

"Kiss ass," he muttered and earned a smack from Melissa.

Sebastian then glanced towards Mia's Dad, who was staring him down, not unlike a lion does in the wild, before it's about to pounce on its' prey and rip it to shreds.

"It's nice to meet you, sir," he greeted, rather nervously, and then reached out his hand to shake.

He then felt as if he'd bones were bruised, when Mia's Dad reached forward wordless and shook his hand. Sebastian nearly winced in pain, but pushed it down and tried to look unaffected.

Mia could glanced down to the handshake between her Dad and Sebastian, and noticed it more than a firm one. She realised she had neglected to mention to Sebastian, that her Dad was briefly in the army. She just hoped that his hand wasn't broken.

When her Dad finally let his hand go from the bruising grip, Sebastian cleared his throat and looked towards Mia's Mum.

"These are for you," he said, and gave her the gifts that he'd bought.

Adelina grinned and happily took them from him.

"Oh, darling. They're lovely, thank you. But you didn't have to," she said with a warm smile, much like Mia's, and then pulled him in for a hug.

Sebastian was taken aback slightly by the unexpected hug, but returned it anyway.

"Oh, he had to," Hamish then said, whilst he glared at Sebastian.

He then gulped and averted his eyes, looking towards Mia.

She smiled at him assuringly and he tried smile back.

However, all he could think was, this wasn't going to be easy at all...and also that he needed some ice for his hand.

The family were in the living room, preparing to have tea and cake as they were all getting to know Sebastian, and sharing stories with one another.

Sebastian had slipped away from the group, to visit the bathroom and was just heading back to the living room, when he was stopped by Mia's Dad.

"Sebastian," Hamish said in his deep voice.

"Yes, Sir," Sebastian immediately responded, like it was military school.

Hamish was almost amused by Sebastian's rigid posture. It reminded him of his days in the army.

"Relax," he then said, looking at a tense Sebastian. "I just wanted to talk to you."

"Sure," Sebastian then nodded. There was no way in hell that he'd refuse anyway.

The pair then went out and walked towards the garden.

Sebastian immediately noticed how colourful it was. There was various kinds of flowers planted around the edge of the large garden. His eyes caught the sight of lilies, Mia's favourite.

He carried onto walking alongside Mia's Dad, only halting when he did.

"Mia, is my little girl," Hamish began to say. "I've always felt like I had to to protect her, keep her safe. Aaron's always be a strong kid, I never really worried about him. Whilst my Mia is a tough girl, I just wish I told her more when she was younger, so she would've believed it," he sighed.

"She is tough," Sebastian stated.

He remembered the way she always held her own in front of him, never afraid to knock him down a peg or two, and also the way she so fearlessly stood up to Tucker and Anna.

Mia's Dad smiled at Sebastian's comment. "I always told her that she was like my heart outside of my chest. I felt the need to wrap her in bubble wrap and not let her get hurt."

Hamish had always been worried about his little princess, even when he didn't really have to be. However, it was an emotion that he couldn't just stop, and still can't to this day.

"I understand," Sebastian said as he saw the love for Mia, in her father's eyes.

"I know about what happened at the prom, and at your parents party," Hamish then stated, looking at Sebastian dead in the eye.

Sebastian then began to choke on air.

With wide-eyes and in a panic, he began to stutter, "I-I didn't, I'm-..."

Despite it amusing him deeply to see such a fearful reaction, Hamish decided to not let Sebastian continue to stutter like a blundering idiot.

"I would've been angry at you. In fact, I wanted to punch you at first," he said, which made Sebastian wince a little, imagining how bad that punch would be.

Hamish then continued. "But then, I heard about how you defended my daughter."

"How?" Is all that Sebastian could ask.

"The incident, the school told me about," he responded. "Mia just thought if she kept it to herself, we wouldn't know. Then the party, Nicole told me that. Both her and Chloe keep an eye out for Mia. I let my little girl live out, but she's not out of sight," he informed Sebastian.

Sebastian just looked at Mia's Dad with a slight lost expression.

He had a feeling that her Dad would know about the prom incident, but didn't think he'd be aware of what occurred during the dinner party. Sebastian wondered if Mia knew, that Nicole and Chloe would let her Dad know about how she was doing. He felt happy to know that Mia had people like them in her life, who looked out for her.

"I-I really don't know what to say," he then replied.

He was unsure of what he should or should not say, in front of Mia's Dad. Sebastian couldn't really get a read on what her Dad was thinking, since he had this continuous blank expression on his face.

Hamish then looked at him studiously. "Do you love her?" He asked.

"With everything I have," he replied, without even missing a beat.

Hamish paused for a moment, seemingly studying Sebastian. He'd always been able to understand someone after being in their presence for a short amount of time. When he'd met his wife, he knew the woman was a pain, but one he probably wouldn't be live without.

After hearing Sebastian's answers, he felt satisfied. Hamish believed that what he said was the truth and nodded in approval.

"Never hurt her or make her cry, or I will hurt you. Understand?" He then warned Sebastian.

"Yes, sir," Sebastian immediately replied, the stern expression was enough to scare him shitless.

Before anything else could be said, Mia appeared in the garden.

"What are you guys doing? Come on, we're having tea," she told them and dragged the two men into the living room, as they laughed at her eagerness for tea and cake.
