After their first kiss together, both Sebastian and Mia were convinced of their feelings for one another. Convinced that what they shared wasn't just a mere crush for one another, it was more, it was much more.

They stayed together in the park for a little while longer, just content in each other's arms, a place that neither of them expected would feel so right.

As weeks had passed, Mia's role as Sebastian's assistant would soon be coming towards an end and Sophie would be returning.

She had already spoken to Mia and Sebastian, that she was going to be coming back soon and this was both good news and bad news for the pair.

He had grown accustomed to seeing Mia everyday, her smile, her greetings, her coffee and just her in general. It was hard to not imagine anything different now. He was ready to let that all go.

However, he seemed to have some sort of reassurance that she was still going to be there outside the office, with him.

The two decided that until Sophie came back from maternity leave and Mia was still Sebastian's assistant, they would keep their feelings for one another, to themselves. They didn't want to become office gossip, and it already seemed like so much surrounded the two of them, they'd rather keep this to themselves for a little longer, until everyone had to know.

Only, Sebastian was having a hard time keeping to their agreement, since he could never keep his hands to himself.

Whenever Mia was near him, all he wanted to do was kiss her and hold her in his arms. Around her, felt like a lovesick teenage boy, it was embarrassing, yet he had no shame. He was happy to feel this way, it wasn't something he'd ever felt for anyone, except her.

At no point in his life, had he ever feeling so strong for someone. It was both frightening and exciting.

Sebastian knew that what he felt was more than like, but he wasn't going to tell Mia that, at least not yet. She'd only just confessed to liking him a few weeks ago, he didn't want to scare her by coming on too strong.

She'd probably laugh if he did confess and might not even believe him. No, it was too soon for him to say anything of the sort. He couldn't risk spooking her or coming on too strong. She was his, he knew that and was content with it.

Currently, the office was in a celebratory mood.

Despite it being working hours, Sebastian had organised a little party for the company.

There had recently been proposals, birthdays and pregnancy announcements in the personal lives of some of the staff, and Sebastian, in his new found great mood, decided that it should be celebrated.

He had decided that the party should be held on the Sales floor, since they were generally that would have to wine and dine clients to secure accounts and so it seemed a good idea to have it on their floor.

Sebastian had the bright idea of deciding that Mia should organise the party. He wanted to give her some time off some just doing office work. He also assumed that she would always have to come to him, to get things approved and signed off anyway, and that would then mean more time for them to spend together.

Only, he didn't realise how serious Mia would take this task.

She'd come to him to get things approved or to ask a question, and the next second, she was off.

He had less time with her than he did previously.

Now, all Sebastian wanted was for this stupid party to be over.

Stood by the drinks, his eyes were just trying to look for Mia, but couldn't seem to spot her. How was he meant to enjoy the party, when she wasn't even with him?

He just didn't find it very fair that she was being a good employee, instead of attending to him.

A voice then snapped him out of his need thoughts.

"Would you like a drink, sir?"

Sebastian turned his head and saw one of the girls from the sale team looking towards him. She was smiling and held two drinking in her hands.

He politely shook his head. "No, thank you. I'm good," he refused. "Oh and you can call me, Sebastian. It's a party, it's alright to be casual," he added, his attempt at being nice.

The girl, who first frowned at his refusal, now had a full smile on her face.

Apparently, the suggestion that she call Sebastian by his first name, in such a casual way, seem to be something that made her happy. Only he didn't know how much.

"Sebastian," she replied, as if testing his name out and seeing how it rolled off of her tongue.

When she did say his name like this, it weirded him out slightly, but he chose not to say anything. It was a party and she'd probably had a drink or two, he assumed. She might just be embarrassed about it later. It was fine.

Little did he know, Mia was not too far from him and it was not fine at all in her eyes.

She watched their interaction with an expression, that looked like she'd just tasted the most sourest of lemons.

Mia had planned to come and find him, knowing that the planning of this party had gotten away from her and she hadn't spent a lot of time with Sebastian.

However, now that she'd seen him speaking to this girl, who was way too close to him in her eyes, it wasn't something Mia liked. In fact, she was livid.

Her expression then quickly morphed from pure anger into something else, eyes wide with realisation. She was jealous.

She never thought she was the jealous type, but right now all Mia wanted to do, was push the she-devil away from Sebastian. If that wasn't blatant jealousy, then she didn't know what was.

Instead of acting out her thoughts, even though she really wanted to, Mia carried on to watch the two. She wanted to see what Sebastian does.

'He'd better push her away,' Mia thought.

"Are you single, Sebastian?" The girl the asked him, and he was taken aback by her forward question.

He took a small step back from the girl. "I'm not sure that's appropriate to ask," he replied, a little awkwardly.

"Jenna," the girl finally introduced herself.

Sebastian nodded. "Right. I'm not sure that's appropriate to ask me, Jenna. I am still your boss," he replied, a little more sternly this time.

'Just say no, you idiot.' Mia wanted to shout from the side.

She couldn't believe Jenna would actually ask that and then it annoyed her even more, that Sebastian couldn't just outright say, 'no'. It wasn't exactly a hard word to say. He'd done it many times before. 'No, I'm not single.' It really wasn't all that difficult, so she didn't understand why he couldn't say the words.

A scowl appeared on her face, as she carried on to watch the two of them interact.

"But this is a party and we're keeping things casual, right?" Jenna then asked in a suggestive tone, which left Sebastian feeling uncomfortable.

Jenna's hand then reached out, and she placed her palm on his chest.

Mia, who'd seen the whole thing, had enough and was about to storm over to them, until Mason came to her and took her away to join some other people.

She just hoped Sebastian won't be an idiot and would move away from the situation. They'd only just confessed feeling towards each other, she'd hate to have to kill him so soon.

Sebastian knew this wasn't appropriate at all and so he gently moved Jenna's hand from his chest, causing it to fall limply by her side.

"I meant it's alright to be casual, in the sense that we could be on a first-name basis," he said and tried to be polite.

Jenna, who'd clearly had more than a couple drinks, didn't exactly get the message.

"Are you single then?" She repeated her question.

Sebastian then nodded. "I'm actually seeing someone, yes," he said.

He couldn't say Mia's name, since they weren't ready to tell the whole office, but that didn't mean he would have to hide his relationship status.

"Where is she then?" Jenna asked, quite bitterly.

Sebastian didn't like her tone and decided it was best to move away, in case she caused some kind of scene.

"That really isn't your concern, Jenna," he replied curtly, which cause Jenna flinch ever so slightly. He then looked around, his eyes trying to search for Mia. "I've actually got to find someone, maybe lay off the drinks, yeah?" He told her.

He didn't think Jenna was a bad person, just a little too tipsy, so he didn't hold it against her.

"Oh, okay," Jenna replied, looking slightly dejected.

Another polite smile, and Sebastian walked away, intending on finding his girl.

Just as he began to search for her, Mia was just standing alone and checking her phone, when she heard a voice call out to her.

"Hey, Mia." She looked up to see a very familiar face smiling at her.

"Dan. Oh my. Hi. How are you?" She smiled at him and put her phone away.

He moved forward to give her a friendly hug and Mia retuned the gesture, hugging him back just the same.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?" He chuckled.

"It really has," Mia replied.

The last time she'd seen him, he had a buzzcut and was attempting to grow a moustache. Now, his blond hair had really grown out and was clean-shaven, but he still looked smart.

"I did come down to accounting a couple of times, but I always seemed to miss you," Mia said.

"You did?" He asked, surprised. "Oh, if only I knew. I didn't have access to the upper floor or I would've come to see you," he said.

Mia just smiled. "Next time, message me. We can have a little catch-up lunch, since it really has been a while."

"Sounds good," Dan nodded. "We've missed you in accounting, Mia."

His words caused Mia to laugh instead and shake her head gently. Dan just looked at her in both confusion and amusement.

"If I'm totally honest, Dan, I missed you guys, but haven't missed doing accounting at all," she said and place a hand on his arm.

Dan joined in her laughter. "Fair enough, you always said it wasn't for you."

Mia rapidly shook her head. "It really wasn't," she replied.

The pair carried on to catch up with one another, reminiscing about the old days when they worked together, and sharing some funny memories.

Sebastian, who was searching for Mia but kept getting stopped by people on his way, was starting to grow tired. This office floor couldn't have been that big and yet he couldn't seemed to find one person.

All he wanted, was some alone time with his girl, even if he couldn't actually say that she was his, in front of the office...yet.

It was determined, that the minute Sophie would step thought the office door and Mia would stop being his assistant, he would tell the world she was his. He didn't care.

As he walked around, Sebastian finally managed to spot Mia and smiled, but that quickly turned into a frown, when he saw that she wasn't alone.

He saw her talking and laughing with another man, and he didn't like it one bit.

Sebastian never thought of himself as a possessive man, but clearly when you have the right girl, that side of you was inevitable to come out.

He saw the way she smiled at him, laughed at his dumb jokes, and how she even touched his arm at one point.

'Here I am searching for her, and she's with that guy,' Sebastian thought bitterly, annoyed that someone else was getting her attention.

Without waiting around any longer, he left the office party, and instead went up to his own office in a huff.

"Stupid party," he muttered on his way out.

Mia really liked the little talk that she'd had with Dan. He was a one of the friends that she had made, when she first joined the company. He showed her the ropes and she could always go to him for questions. It was nice to see him again.

She'd completely forgotten about her old friends back in accounting and felt terrible about it. Especially Dan, who was always so nice to her.

Earlier on, when she had first joined, Dan did have a crush on her, but he never acted on it. He did eventually tell Mia about his feelings, but she turned him down. Thankfully, there were never any hard feelings between the two.

After talking to him now, she'd just found out he was planning to propose to his girlfriend of two years. He seemed so excited for that and she was really happy for him too.

As soon as Dan had left her on her won, Mia looked around for Sebastian, since she'd lost track of him.

All of a sudden, she felt her phone buzz in her pocket, and upon checking it, she saw a message notification from Sebastian.

My office. Was all the text said.

Mia felt extremely confused on why he was texting her and why he was in his office, but just shrugged, assuming he might have been bored.

Before she made her way to his office, she grabbed a piece of cake with her.

Mia didn't knock on Sebastian's office door this time and instead, she just let herself in.

Her eyes immediately found him, sitting at his desk and on his phone. He'd taken off his blazer and now had his navy shirt rolled up to his elbows, the first two buttons at the top left undone.

"Hi," she smiled instantly and closed the door behind her, when he didn't response, Mia's brows furrowed together.

She then walked towards his desk. "Why did you leave the party?" She asked him and placed the cake down onto the surface.

Sebastian glanced up from his phone and saw the cake slice on his desk. He didn't let himself smile at the sweet gesture. Instead he looked briefly at Mia, before lowering his eyes back down to his phone with a bored expression

"Not in the mood anymore," he replied gruffly.

Mia frowned at his words and behaviour.

"Why, what's wrong?" She asked in concern, thinking there was something wrong with him.

'He seemed fine when he was talking to Jenna,' she couldn't help but think.

"Nothing," Sebastian replied.

Mia rolled her eyes and placed her hand on her hips. "Okay, clearly something is up. Tell me."

Sebastian finally looked up from his phone and towards Mia, who was now staring at him with her brows raised, awaiting some kind of answer from him.

He didn't beat around the bush.

"Who was that guy you were speaking to?" He asked.

A look of confusion washed over Mia's face.

"Guy?" She questioned out loud and then realised who he must be talking about. "Oh, Dan? He's my friend from accounting."

Sebastian jaw clenched. He didn't even like her saying his name.

"You guys seem awfully close to each other," he then said.

Mia just smiled and walked around the desk. She stood directly next to his chair.

"We're friends, Sebastian. It's pretty normal to talk and joke around with friends," she said, placing a gentle hand against his cheek.

He turned his head towards her.

"And touch their arm?" He asked with a deep frown on his face.

She was just about to reply to him and tell him that it was normal, but a thought seemed to have struck her, one that left her highly amused.

Mia took a step back from him.

"Sebastian Carter, are you jealous?" She asked him, a teasing smile on her face.

He scoffed in response. "No, I'm not."

Mia bit her lip as she tried to contain her laughter. "For someone who's not jealous, you sure sound it," she said.

Sebastian crossed his arms and looked away from her.

"But I'm not," he stubbornly replied.

Mia then nodded. She knew he totally was.

She then moved, to walk back around the desk, with an innocent look on her face. "So, if I went back downstairs, and spoke to Dan, you wouldn't stop me?" She asked.

Sebastian visibly stiffened. His hands formed into a fist, and jaw clenched.

"No," he replied.

"Okay," Mia shrugged.

She picked out the slice of cake, that she had initially bought for him, and smiled. "I'll share this cake with him too, I guess."

Mia had to bite the the inside of her cheek to stop herself from laughing, as she turned around and started to walk back.

At the sound of her heels, Sebastian looked up and saw Mia walking away from him.

He instantly shot out from his seat and in a few strides, caught up to her.

"Oh no, you don't," he said and without warning, swept Mia off her feet and held her in his arms.

It was a miracle the cake didn't drop.

"Sebastian!" Mia shouted. "What are you doing? Put me down," she told him, but couldn't even hide the laughter in her own voice.

She expected him to stop her, knowing that there was no way that he would let her leave like that, but she definitely didn't expect him to haul her up in his arms.

Like hell, she was going back to him, Sebastian thought.

He looked down at Mia in his arms, who was clutching onto the plate for the cake and staring up at him in amusement.

"I don't share, love," he stated.

Mia shook her head at his childishness.

"You're going to drop me. Put me down," she ordered him, quite scared of falling.

"Fine," Sebastian huffed and then placed her down gently on the sofa.

He saw himself down next to her, and like a stubborn child, crossed his arms and pouted.

Mia wanted to laugh at the expression he currently held, but knew that probably wasn't all that helpful to do.

Placing the cake on the side table, she moved towards Sebastian, tugging at his arms. "Oh come on, don't be like that," she said. "You can't possibly be jealous of Danish?".

Sebastian scoffed. "The man's named after bread, why would I even be jealous of him?" He retorted.

"Don't be mean," Mia then chided him. "Yeah sure, he used to have a crush on me, but that was way back when I first started."

She didn't even realise what she'd said, but Sebastian did, and his head snapped in her direction with an incredulous look.

"He had a crush on you!?" He shouted, and Mia winced at his tone. "Okay, where is he?" He asked, standing up from his seat.

Mia saw him roll up his sleeves, which had already been folded up to his elbows, and shook her head.

"What are you going to do? Fight him?" She asked.

Sebastian nodded. "If I have to."

Mia then rolled her eyes in response. "Don't be ridiculous. He's quite content with his girlfriend, who he plans on proposing to soon, so leave him be."

Her words seemed to have calmed him down and Mia could see the rigid shoulders relax once again.

Sebastian sat back down, with his chin titled up. "As long as he leaves my girl alone," he said.

Mia turned her body to face him now. "My girl?" She asked, with a brow raised.

"Yes," he confirmed.

There was no hesitation on his part. He had been thinking of Mia as 'his girl' for a while now, way before she even agreed to be.

Mia then scoffed. "It's funny to see you acting all possessive now, what happened when Jenna had her hands all over you?" She asked.

She was still quite miffed about the way she just openly touched him like that, running her hands over his chest. Her wasn't hers to touch like that.

Sebastian looked at Mia in confusion, his face scrunching up slightly.

"Who?" He asked.

Mia gave him a dry look in response. He can't have forgetting, unless he had many Jenna's going around with their hands all over him.

Realisation then quickly hit him. "Oh, her? She just put on hand on my chest."

Mia then smiled at him. "So you'd be okay if Dan put his hand on my chest?"
