Sebastian was well aware of his growing feelings for Mia, therefore it only made sense that he end whatever he had with Anna, forever.

Not just in a way that was temporarily off, but a complete break up. He couldn't claim to feel something for Mia and still have an on-and-off girlfriend hanging around, like she was some kind of a safety net.

It wouldn't be fair on Anna or Mia, or even himself.

He wanted to be true and honest with his feelings and if there did end up being a chance, that he could actually be in a relationship with Mia, he didn't want to wreck that by having another woman in his life. It was best to end things.

For that reason, Sebastian had invited Anna to dinner, hoping to end things in a civil way.

Sebastian was sat in the restaurant and waited for Anna to arrive. She was never really someone that could ever be on time, therefore it didn't really surprise him that she was late yet again.

He never really thought about it much before, since he didn't care much about her lack of punctuality. He only found himself noticing it now, when he thought about how different Mia was. She was always on time and prompt.

As Sebastian was lost in his thoughts about the woman he wanted to be with, the woman that he was currently in a 'relationship' with, had arrived and yet, he hadn't noticed.

Anna had walked into the classy restaurant, with a wide grin on her face, despite knowing how late she was. Although, the way she saw it, beauty took time and Anna really thought herself to be the fairest of them all.

The happy expression on her face, was due to where she thought this night was going to go. In her mind, all that registered was that Sebastian had chosen a very nice restaurant to take her to dinner to, and that on a random day. He had made the plan himself and wanted to see her, as soon as she was back from another modelling assignment.

To Anna, this meant one thing only...Sebastian wanted to propose.

She was so sure of it. They had been on-and-off for a while now and he undoubtedly wanted more of her, so he was going to propose. Just the thought of it got her excited and so she took extra time to get ready.

Little did she know, this 'date' wasn't going to end the way she thought it would.

Anna was led to the table by one of the wait-staff and looked to Sebastian, who almost seemed zoned out.

She then cleared her throat.

Sebastian heard a weird noise and glanced up to see Anna standing in front of their table, with a waiter next to her.

"Oh, you're here," he said and saw the look of shock on Anna's face.

"That's it? That's how you greet me?" Anna replied, aghast.

"Hello?" Sebastian then tried to greet her, unsure of what she meant and by the look on her face, that clearly wasn't it.

The waiter, that was stood next to Anna, tried his best to cover his smile, but failed miserably. Instead, he pulled out the chair, across from Sebastian, and waited till she sat down, before leaving.

Once the waiter left, Anna looked towards Sebastian with a frown.

"Really, Seb? No kiss or hug? Am I here for a meeting or a date? The least you could've done is shake my hand and not embarrass me in front of the staff," Anna ranted furiously.

Meanwhile, Sebastian just furrowed his brows in confusion. He didn't understand how he embarrassed her. 'He'd said hello, wasn't that a greeting?'

"We need to talk, Anna," Sebastian then said, causing her to perk up.

She knew how formal Sebastian could be at times and so wasn't really bothered by his words. Although, she thought it was a little bit of an odd start for a proposal. They hadn't even had their food.

"Oh, we're doing this now? Do you not want to eat first?" She asked.

Sebastian was taken aback by her words. "Wait, you know what I need to tell you?" He asked.

He didn't think he was that transparent. Or maybe she had found someone else or also thought it was better to end things.

"Well, I have an inkling," Anna giggled as she fluttered her eyelids.

"Do you have something in your eye?" Sebastian asked her, wondering if one of her fake eyelashes were bothering her.

She then gave him a dry look. "No."

"Alright then," Sebastian nodded. "Look, Anna, we've known each other for a while and so I think you know what I'm like by now," he started.

Anna smiled at him and showed off her pearly, white teeth.

"I don't really like to waste time and I'd rather not prolong this evening, so I'm just going to get to the point," he added.

He really didn't know the right words to say, since this was the first time he was breaking up with someone. The last time he was with a girl, back in college, she broke up with him after a couple of weeks. Something about him not giving her enough time and being a workaholic.

Anna just nodded eagerly to his words. She knew that Sebastian was the straight-forward type and didn't really beat around the bush. She didn't care. If he wanted to propose before dinner, than that was just fine.

"I think we should end things-"

"Of course, I will-"

Both Sebastian and Anna blinked at each other slowly.

"What?" They both asked each other.

"I think we should break up," Sebastian clarified, assuming maybe she hadn't heard him right, or thought something else of his words.

Anna's jaw dropped.

"You're what!?" She exclaimed in disbelief, earning a look from people on nearby tables.

"Anna, please. Keep your voice down," Sebastian said, as he sensed that people's eyes were now on them.

He didn't want to make a scene or anything. He was hoping for this to be civil.

As if she hadn't heard a word he said, she shouted once again. "You're breaking up with me!? With me? Are you out of your mind, Seb?"

Anna couldn't believe her ears, she was in denial, never had she expected Sebastian to break up with her. No one ever broke up with her. Just the idea of it was insane to her.

She had walked in here, assuming that he was going to propose, take their relationship to the next level, not just end things.

"No, Anna. I'm perfectly sane," Sebastian told her and then sighed deeply.

"Look, what we had, it was great, but we both know there were no feelings or love involved in this relationship," he said.

From the time that they had first got together, till now, the two of them never really had much of a relationship. They were with each other because things were easy and convenient. With the mutual feeling, that this was all that there was ever going to be. When she was back in the country, she'd come to him for comfort, and he didn't mind that.

Only now, things were a lot different.

Never once had they actually acted like a loved up couple, nor did she ever make him feel the way Mia does.

He knew he probably sounded like a dick at this point, but he didn't want to lie to Anna. She didn't deserve that, and nor did he.

"We get on so great, Seb," Anna reasoned, and reached out to try and hold his hand that was resting on the table, only for him to take it out of her grasp.

"I know we do, and we can always stay friends, but nothing more," he stated.

Sebastian always thought of Anna as somewhat of a friend at least. Yes they had a physical relationship as well, but he didn't really hold any romantic feelings for her. It was really just comfort. He still liked her....just not in a that kind of way.

Anna's fallen expression quickly morphed into anger.

"Who's the girl, Seb?" She gritted out.

Not for one second, did she believe that this sudden epiphany to break up with her, had just come out of thin air. There had to be a reason and Anna was sure that this reason was another woman.

"What?" Sebastian then asked in confusion.

He hadn't anticipated that question. 'Seriously, am I that transparent?', he wondered.

"We've been on and off for a few years now," Anna pointed out. "You're not breaking up with me out of the blue, so who the fuck is she?"

Sebastian refused to answer her question. He didn't want to risk saying anything that would end up bringing Mia's name into this.

"I bet she's just some money-grabbing whore, who just wanted to sink her claws into you and you're too blind to see it," she seethed in anger.

"Stop it, Anna," he said.

Right now, Sebastian felt stupid for not expecting some kind of outburst from her. He had just assumed that since there were no feelings involved, she'd just understand when he wanted to end things.

However, now he realised that maybe it was shortsighted of him to think so. There were no feelings from his side, yes, but maybe, possibly, Anna had begun to feel something instead.

Suddenly, Anna's eyes narrowed in on Sebastian and she glared at him. A thought popping into her mind, one that left her more angry than she was before.

"Is it your bitch of an assistant!?" She exclaimed

Immediately, Sebastian was filled with anger when he heard Anna call Mia by that name.

"Enough! Leave Mia out of this!" He shouted, this time not caring about anyone overhearing them.

It was then, that instant regret filled him. Not for shouting, but because he realised that he'd said Mia's name out loud now.

It did confirm Anna's suspicion and she scoffed.

"It is her, isn't it?" she asked, but more in a rhetorical sense as Sebastian's apparent anger was enough of an answer for her.

Sebastian then took a few deep breaths to calm himself down and then looked at Anna.

"Look, I'm sorry if I'm hurting you, but I can't keep doing this," he said sincerely.

It was never his intention to cause her any kind of hurt or pain, he really hadn't expected this kind of reaction.

Sebastian decided to end the dinner now, before anything more was said that either of them would regret.

He stood up from his seat, as Anna looked at him in disbelief, that he was planning on just leaving her like this.

"I'm truly sorry, Anna." Sebastian apologised once again.

"You'll be back, Seb," she replied, in a promising tone and Sebastian just shook his head.

"Goodbye, Anna," he said and walked away, leaving her at the table, fuming.

The next day, Mia was stood in the open space of the office, as she spoke to Mason, whilst Sebastian was still out to lunch with his father.

Ever since Mason and Chloe had begun to go out with each other, Mia and him had become quite good friends. She found it quite nice to have some else to really bond with at work.

She stood there, unsuspecting, at least not until she heard the sound of heels furiously clicking against the ground and a banshee-like screech.

After the dinner she had, or rather didn't have, with Sebastian, Anna was in the worst mood. She was so angry and the focus of her anger was solely Mia. She knew that it Mia was the reason that Sebastian wanted to end things with her, and unfortunately for Mia, Anna wasn't someone to just let things go.

She decided to make an uninvited appearance at the office to confront her.

Anna walked right up towards Mia and point a finger in her face, in blind anger.

"You!" She snarled and Mia was extremely confused.

"Um, can I help you?" She asked.

She was really not sure on what exactly she had done to warrant such behaviour from Anna. A part of her wondered if the girl was off her meds or something. She was usually mean, snarky, essentially a bitch, but it mostly with sassy side comments, not like this. This was someone that was seriously pissed off.

To Mia, Anna currently resembled a bull in a China shop.

"You bitch," Anna yelled.

The sound of her loud voice, caused the whole office floor to stop working and look at what the commotion was.

"He broke up with me because of you! I told you from the start he's mine and you should stay away," Anna shouted.

Hearing her, very loud, words, Mia had immediately understood this was about Sebastian. Which wasn't entirely surprising, since everything was when it came to this girl, but this time had no idea what Anna was on about.

She had no clue about a break up, in fact this was the first time that she was hearing about it. Even Sebastian hadn't even said a word to her about it, not that he needed too. But still.

'You would think he would mention something about breaking up with the crazy chick,' she thought.

As Anna look at Mia standing in front of her, with that innocent look, that she thought to be fake, she felt this wave of pure anger come over her.

She couldn't stand it and went to raise her hand.

"You little-" she started to say as she swung her hand back.

However before Anna's palm can make contact with Mia's face, Mia grabbed her wrist and yanked it down, looking at Anna furiously.

Gasps were heard on the office floor, as everyone watch on at the insane scene in front of them.

"Okay enough!" Mia yelled back. "You try and touch me again and you'll regret it," she warned Anna.

A slight look of fear passed through Anna, as she looked into Mia's eyes that were narrowed in on her, but she then masked it and pulled her wrist out of Mia's grip.

"Fucking bitch," Anna snarled.

That was the second time that she had been called a bitch by her and that last bit of patience within Mia, snapped.

"Okay, shut the fuck up," she replied, and Anna looked a little wide-eyed.

"Look, I've tried to be nice to you, I really have, even though from the moment we've met, you've not given me a reason to. But now that Sebastian's broke up with you, I have no fucking obligation towards you," Mia started to say.

"You stupid-" Anna began to interrupt, but Mia raised her hand to stop her from speaking.

"I'm not done," Mia said. "This is a place of work and all you've done is disrespect me again and again. I'm not to blame for your break up, that's between you and him. This isn't some place to create a scene, so I suggest you leave, phone a friend to comfort you and definitely stay the hell away from me," Mia told her and a few cheers and whistles could be heard from the other staff members.

The office right now resembled a cage match. Mia on one side and Anna on the other, and it looked like Mia was winning.

"He'll be back for me you know. You won't keep him. He's mine and he'll be back" Anna told her.

Mia just shrugged in response.

"That's good for you," she smiled sweetly. "Now leave," she said and pointed towards the door. She wasn't even sure how Anna got into the office without a pass in the first place.

"I'll be back," Anna said in a threatening voice.

"Not during office hours, hopefully," Mia waved at her and Anna glared at her, before she stomped out the office.

One the staff members, Emily, came to praise Mia. "Wow Mia, you're a feisty bitch," she said, whilst laughing as another girl, Lashaune laughed alongside her, "Yeah don't mess with our girl," she proudly said.

"What the hell was that?" Mason then asked Mia, in confusion and shock.

"Honestly, I'm not entirely sure," she replied, truly confused on what had just happened.
