The next morning, Mia woke up from her deep slumber with a slightly nagging headache.

As far as she could recall, she couldn't really remember going out and getting completely wasted, and so she couldn't understand this hangover-like feeling.

Her eyes then managed to flutter open, and as soon as she did, she was met with a familiar view of a room that she recognised.

It was Sebastian's room, she knew that, but she had no clue as to how she got there. She could remember being in the office, but that was it.

When Mia looked to the side, she had to double-take, as her eyes landed on Sebastian sitting up against the headboard, with his eyes closed and his hand enclosed around hers.

The sight confused her. She had no clue on what she should focus on first, how did she get to his room? Or why was he holding her hand?

Mia tried to carefully remove her hand from his grip, tugging on it, when it seemed like he had some death grip on her hand and it only tightening when she moved.

Sebastian frowned in his sleep, as he felt some kind of movement. He held onto Mia's hand tighter, when it felt as if someone was trying to break their hands apart, until it clicked that movement meant she was probably awake.

His eyes snapped open and he turned towards Mia, seeing how she was now awake and staring at him with wide eyes.

Seeing her brown eyes once again, were a sight for his sore eyes.

Sebastian saw her glancing down and he realised, she was looking at her hand, which he was still holding onto.

He quickly let it go and cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Sebastian asked her as she watched Mia slowly sat up from the bed, her face scrunched up by her movements.

He wanted to help her, but thought that she would probably find it weird.

Mia rested her back against the headboard as well and glanced at him.

"I feel better, thank you. How did I get here?" She asked him cautiously and watched as he reached around him and then held her glasses in his hand.

She smiled softly and took them from him, putting them on, so that she could see a lot more clearer now,

"You fainted at the office," Sebastian informed her and Mia was shocked.

She remembered being in her office and then closing her eyes for a couple of minutes, but she didn't think she would've fainted from that.

Sebastian then continued, "I got scared and so I brought you here and got you checked out by our family doctor. He said you're okay, by the way. Nothing to worry about. You slept through the rest of the day and night, only waking up now," he finished.

The tips of his ears heated up, with a shade of red coming over him. Sebastian felt the urge to check himself for a fever.

"You brought me here?" Mia asked him, slightly surprised that he didn't just take her to her own home or try and wake her up at the office and then give her the day off.

He then looked at her confused face. "Yeah, I was worried about you," he stated.

A small smile tugged at Mia's lips at his words. Although she was really confused, it was strangely, a nice feeling having him care about her.

"Thank you, for helping me," she smiled.

"Anytime," Sebastian smiled, before it faltered. "I mean, anytime you're ill, I'll help you. Not that you need to be ill for me to want to help or anything. I just-"

"I know. Thank you," Mia smiled at him.

Sebastian just looked at, a little flustered from his rambling. He never usually waffled like that, he would barely talk sometimes, but with her, it was always different.

The silence between them and Sebastian's eyes on her, cause Mia to look away, and only then did she remember that she was still in his room.

"I-I should go now," Mia muttered.

She made a move to get up off the bed, but stopped and turned her head, when a slightly alarmed Sebastian held onto her arm.

"I understand that you want to leave, I do, but before that, please eat something? You're not completely fine just yet, and the doctor said you still need to eat and rest," he told her.

Mia frowned. She did feel a little weak and very hungry, but she didn't know if this was appropriate. She'd already crossed her own boundary by just sleeping in his bed, even if she was unconscious at the time.

"Please, Mia?" Sebastian asked her once more, noticing her hesitation.

Seeing how much it mattered to him, she relented.

"Okay," she nodded and then glanced down at her arm, when Sebastian still had a hold on her, only to let go when she looked.

Sebastian the quickly got up off the bed and walked around, lending Mia a hand to help her get up. He didn't want her to exert herself or anything, after just getting up from her unconscious state.

She took his hand, when her legs a little like jelly. A newborn calf, probably had more balance than she did right now.

He helped her walk, only to stop when she did.

Sebastian glanced down at her and saw that she was already looking up at him, albeit a little tentatively.

"I need to call my flatmates," Mia said, realising is she had been away from her home for so long, without a word, they must be worrying about her.

"I called them," Sebastian then told her.

"You did?" Mia said in surprise.

He then sheepishly rubbed his neck. "Well, I sort of left your phone and bag at work, but found out your home number from your application. After the doctor had left, I called your friend, Chloe," he informed her.

"Oh, and um, what did she say?" Mia asked.

It was only a couple of days ago, that she had told the girls all about her past with Sebastian, including the near kiss at the party. She knew that the girls probably didn't seem in the best light, and now to get a phone call from him, saying that she was at his place? That would be confusing.

"I kind of explained that you fainted at work and I brought you to my home instead, and that I would take care of you and then drop you home once you felt better," Sebastian said.

Mia couldn't help but smile slightly, at the way he'd said he'd take care of her, and not just drop her home once she was awake.

"Oh," is all that she could respond to that.

"Yeah, she seemed to understand and told me to call back once you had woken up," he smiled and then that smile dropped slightly. "It was all good, until Nicole got on the phone," Sebastian said walking out the room, towards the kitchen.

"Oh no," Mia muttered to herself lowly, but Sebastian heard her, and smiled.

"Yeah, she gave me quite an earful and a few choice words," he said.

"I'm curious," Sebastian said, causing Mia to look up at him. "What have you told her about me?" he asked her.

A sheepish look came over Mia's face, as she knew exactly what she had said about him from the minute he was back in her life, and none of it was nice.

"I-I haven't really," Mia mumbled and avoided eye contact.

Her reaction only confirmed Sebastian's suspicion, that he wasn't painted in the best light in front of her friends. Not that he blamed her or anything. He'd been a complete beast to her.

"Only that you're my boss, and..." Mia's voice trailed off.

A curious Sebastian, then pushed for more information.

"And?..." He asked.

Mia opened her mouth then quickly closed it.

"Nothing," she said all too quickly, and then mentally cursed herself for acting like a guilty five year old.

Sebastian let out chuckle at the expression on her face. He suspected that she'd probably said some not-so-nice things, but now he thought she must've cursed him to hell, with the guilty-look on her face.

He helped Mia to the sofa in his living room and waited until she sat down, before he reached into his pocket and took out his phone.

"Here's my phone, let your friends know that you're okay, and I haven't kidnapped you or holding your hostage. I'll get breakfast ready," he smiled, and passed her the device.

Mia took it from his hands, again giving him a sheepish smile, because although it sounded like a joke, she knew that's probably some that the girls had said to him.

She then realised what he said at the end and didn't want to be a burden on him.

"You don't have to make breakfast, I can just leave and-"

"Mia, just say thank you," Sebastian cut her off her words.

"Thank you, Sebastian." She smiled.

He then gave her a polite nod, before he headed into the kitchen to prepare something for her to eat.

After she the phone call, Mia made her way into Sebastian's kitchen, where she found him placing plates upon the counter top.

She smiled when she saw the large plate that was already on the counter, a stack of steaming pancakes on top of it. The cliche scene in front of her, cause her smile to widen.

In that moment, Sebastian looked up and smiled as well.

"Hi," he breathed out, as he saw the familiar expression on her face, one that caused his heart to swell.

"Hi," she replied, and walked forward to take a seat at the counter, placed his phone on the surface.

Sebastian then placed cutlery on a napkin, next to the empty plates, along with three different types of syrup and three bowls of different kinds of toppings.

'Someone clearly took their pancakes seriously,' Mia thought to herself, amused by what she saw.

He then took a seat next to her.

"How'd it go?" He asked, as he placed two large pancakes on her plate, before helping himself.

"Good," Mia nodded. "I told them I was feeling better now and that I will be back today."

She left out the part where Nicole had asked whether Mia was being held against her will or if Sebastian needed an ass-kicking.

Sebastian just nodded at her words. He knew that there was definitely more that was said, but she was trying to be polite.

Mia placed some bananas over her pancakes, before drizzling it with some golden syrup.

Just as she was about to dig in, a thought struck her.

"Don't you have work? I have work. Shit, we should go," she rambled in a frantic voice, and moved to get off the kitchen stool, only for Sebastian to halt her movements by holding her hand.

"Mia, relax," he calmed her, and she instantly took a deep breath, more because the feeling of Sebastian's hand on hers, was causing her to feel fuzzy inside.

"I'm working from home today, and as for you, you're not working at all," he told her.

Mia's face just scrunched up.

"But-" she was about to protest but Sebastian just shook his head.

"But nothing, Mia," he said sternly and then pointed down at her plate. "Now, eat." He instructed her.

Mia pouted, feeling a lot like a child right now, before she grumbled under her breath and sat in her chair properly, and eating her pancakes.

Sebastian watched her with amusement, the corner of his lips tugging upwards.

"This is really good," Mia smiled at him, before taking another bite of her pancake.

"Thank you," Sebastian said, giving her a boyish grin. "After leaving Mum and Dad's, I had to force myself to learn how to cook, and even then I only know the simple stuff," he said and Mia laughed.

After having breakfast and then fighting about who was going to wash the dishes, which Mia ultimately won and Sebastian just stuck to drying, he then dropped her home.

Before Mia could hop out the car, Sebastian stopped her, deciding he didn't want to put 'the talk' off any longer.

"Mia?" he said her name hesitantly.

"Yeah?" She asked, turning to face him properly.

"Can we talk about Saturday?" He asked.

Immediately, Mia went wide-eyed. The last thing she wanted, was to talk about that day, since she'd be struggling with it since it happened.

She was about to refuse, but Sebastian put his hand up before she could.

"Please. Just let me talk?" he asked and all Mia could do was nod.

"Look, I'm sorry," he started off and Mia just sat in the car frozen, not sure what to say, do or even think.

"What happened was, I don't want to call it a mistake, because it wasn't. But for you, it probably was and judging by the way you ran away, it most likely was," he sighed, with a slight frown.

"Sebastian, I-" she started to say but once again he stopped her.

"Please, let me finish?" he asked again, to which Mia just nodded.

"I won't lie, Mia, I'm beginning to feel something for you. I'm not sure myself what it is, but that wasn't the first time I've wanted to kiss you," he said.

He stared into her eyes intently as he said the words. He was fighting the urge to kiss her once more, but was holding himself back.

"I don't know what to say," Mia responded in slight shock.

Right she just felt like Sebastian was staring into her soul. Those hazel eyes of his, that clash of gold and green, it was a lot. She had look away.

"I just want you to know, it won't happen again," he then continued, causing Mia to look at him once more. "I understand now, that's not what you want and I promise to keep things between us professional," he finished.

He tried to look for any kind of sign, in just her expression, that would suggest that she didn't want to keep things professional, but he couldn't find one. It upset him, but he understood.

Mia then realised she had to say something after all that he said, but couldn't really bring herself to form a sentence.

"Okay," she then mumbled.

They sat in the car for a moment longer, just in silence, before Mia thought that this was all too awkward.

She opened the car door, but then glanced back to Sebastian, to find that he was already looked at her.

"Thank you," Mia said with a smile, truly grateful to him for looking after her.

"Anytime," he replied honestly, knowing he'd always want to, and would, take care of her.

With one last smile, Mia got out of the car and headed towards the door of her flat building.

Sebastian waited until she'd gotten through the door and was out of his sight.

Suddenly, it felt quite lonely in his car without her. It wasn't like it was a vast amount of space before, but now it just seemed even smaller.

'Ultimately, that was how it would be,' he thought. Nothing would seem right.

He then drove back home, since going to the office without Mia, wasn't something he wanted to do.

Keep things professional, Sebastian chanted to himself, but hated every word of it.
