The next couple of weeks at the office went by quickly, with Mia already being well into her second month working for Sebastian. So much closer to the finish line than she was before.

Unfortunately for Mia, she had to endure seeing a lot of Anna at the office as well. The woman was never one to keep her dislike for her at bay, often offering her sly comments or remarks.

However, Mia didn't care. To her, Anna was basically irrelevant, as was her opinion.

As her usual morning routine, Mia was carrying a mug of coffee for Sebastian.

He always expected her to have one ready for him, early in the morning, preferably just before had reached the office. So naturally, Mia would make it well after he had come into the office, later in the morning and after she had properly settled in.

She knocked on his door, waiting for his 'command' to enter. God forbid she tried to enter, without knocking.

"Come in," Sebastian's gruff voice called out.

Mia walked into the office and saw that Sebastian seemed quite into his work at the moment, appearing to read something on his monitor.

"Your coffee," she announced, placing the mug on his desk.

Sebastian blinked up at her, completely forgetting that he hadn't had his usual morning cup. The odd times that she brought it too him, made it seem like more of surprise.

Mia watched as Sebastian picked up the mug and took a sip.

She noticed the way the corners of his mouth slightly tugged up.

Sebastian really couldn't deny that she made a great cup of coffee, better than anything he'd tasted before. Of course he couldn't let her know that, but he really did want to ask what the secret was.

He'd heard Harry praise her coffee before and didn't think anything of it, only now realising how right the old man was.

When he glanced up, he noticed the bewildered look on her face.

"What?" He asked, his own expressions hardening once again.

"You're not going to make me take it back today?" Mia asked him.

She was waiting on the moment for him to scrunch up his face in disgust, saying there was something wrong with it.

Sebastian then, very unexpectedly, chuckled. "Have a little faith in yourself, Miss Sareen."

That irritated her. "I have faith, just none in you," she replied with a smile.

"Keep it that way," he then told her, feeling amused by her words.

Mia narrowed her eyes at him, before turning around and walking out of his office in a huff.

Sebastian bit back the urge to laugh at her, instead shaking his head and sipping his coffee.

Later in the day, Sebastian was tugging at his hair in frustration.

"Ugh, where's that damn file!" He said to himself.

He looked down as his, now, messy desk. Papers were strewn all over it, some balled up and others peeking through some files. Even his floor had a few folders lying about, that he had haphazardly through whilst in his search.

"Miss Sareen!" He shouted.

He waited and grew frustrated at her lack of response, only to realise he needed to press the button on the intercom for her to hear.

"Miss Sareen!" He called out once more, this time pressing on the button.

"Yes?" Mia replied in a bored tone.

"In my office now," Sebastian ordered.

As soon as she heard his loud voice, Mia realised that something was wrong. Despite her lack of willingness, she really had come to understand more about Sebastian's expression and even his tone. She knew his angry tone, from the frustrated one, and even the tired one.

It was not unlike when new parents learn the different cries of their baby. Funnily enough, Sebastian often acted like one in her opinion.

Mia then got up from her seat and walked to Sebastian's office, knocking on the door.

"Come in," she heard after the first knock.

"You called?" Mia asked as soon as she entered, but her voice died down when she took in the state of his office.

Her eyes took in the mess and then zeroed in on the mess that was his desk.

She wouldn't usually care about his mess, if he wanted to live like a pig, then that was his own concern. However, ever since she started, she was the one who had to organise according to Sophie's training.

Mia, herself, was a bit of a neat-freak, and so seeing all this untidiness irked her.

Before she could open her mouth and ask him if a storm had just passed through his office, Sebastian spoke up first.

"Where is the Cambridge file?" He asked her.

"What file?" Mia replied in confusion.

"I hate repeating myself," Sebastian gritted out.

He was in no mood to play any games right now. This was serious and he wasn't going to have her mess with his work.

"Well then speak clearly, with more words," she said, annoyed by his condescending tone.

Sebastian's jaw clenched.

"Watch yourself," he warned her. "The Cambridge file. Dad is going to make a deal with them and he needs the file. The marketing team are depending on it to prepare a prospect," Sebastian said, adding in more detail.

Mia just furrowed her brows, shaking her head gently. "I know nothing about this," she told him.

Sebastian didn't believe her. Immediately he thought that this was some kind trick of hers, to make him suffer like he'd been making her.

"You've been in here long enough to know about it," he said.

"It was before my time," Mia replied in an indifferent tone.

"Didn't Sophie train you? Didn't she teach you? Were you not taught how to arrange the files?"

The questions where rhetorical in nature, since Sebastian knew that she had weeks of training with Sophie.

"She did," Mia responded, "but that file was not my responsibility," she then bit back.

It was a painful task of remembering everything work-related to Sebastian. She knew about most of the files by name now, especially through the notes she made as Sophie trained her. However, the file that he seemed to want right now wasn't one she ever had possession of, as far as Mia could recall.

Her words ticked off Sebastian. "Listen here-" he began to say, taking a step forward.

"I can help you find it, though," Mia cut off his words.

"Then help!" Sebastian shouted at her, before striding towards his desk and throwing an unwanted file on the floor.

Mia sighed at his tantrum and picked up the file from the floor, holding onto it before Sebastian threw it down again.

"When did you last have the file?" She asked, now standing right beside him

Sebastian turned to reply, only to step back in surprise when he noticed their proximity.

"If I knew that, why would I even call you in here? I don't make it a habit of having the displeasure of your presence near me," he sneered.

Mia rolled her eyes. "Because being around your 'ray of sunshine' self is such a pleasure."

"Just get to work," Sebastian told her.

"As you command, master." Mia dramatically bowed.

This amused him a little, despite his current mood. "I could get used to that," he said as Mia walked around the desk to check the files.

"Don't," she bit back.

Sebastian lips twitched in amusement once again, before he remembered that he had work to do as well.

After an hour of searching, both Mia and Sebastian were still no closer to finding the missing file and somehow his office looked a lot worse than it did before.

She's called Sophie to her help too, but she was just as lost.

Eventually, Sebastian was once again standing over his desk, sifting through all the clutter for a third time now, and Mia was seated on the sofa, a pile of folders next to her.

She found herself not being too bothered by coming out empty handed, however Sebastian was beyond stressed.

"Where is that damn file?" He questioned once more.

Mia rubbed her forehead, feeling an oncoming headache after hearing those words multiple times in the last hour.

"You must've kept it somewhere," she thought out loud.

Sebastian looked at her accusingly. "You're the one who keeps messing with my desk," he said.

Mia abruptly stood up, glaring at him.

"You mean tidying and organising it," she corrected him. "For which, you're welcome," she then added, folding her arms across her chest.

"Are you that incompetent as my assistant, to misplace files?" he questioned rhetorically.

"This is your damn fault," Mia replied, pointing her finger at him.

If she ended up being the one to find that damn file, then she'd smack it over his head, or at least throw it in his face.

"You must've seen it. All my paperwork goes through you as well, you have to know" he said to her.

Mia let out a groan. "No, I haven't see it. I don't even know about it."

She felt like she was a broken record at this point, as she kept having to repeat her answer every so often as Sebastian would back to accusing her.

'Like I'd want hide his damn file,' she wanted to scoff. Prolonging her time in his presence, wasn't something she wanted, but rather avoided.

"Yes, you-" Sebastian began to say, but before he could continue there was a knock on his door, causing both Mia and him to turn their heads.

"Um, Sebastian?" A man then peeked into the slight opening of the door.

"Come in, Shaun." Sebastian replied.

Mia rolled her eyes at how nicely he spoke to Shaun. 'Two-face bastard.'

Shaun smiled as he walked in and Mia's eyes immediately went to his hands. 'Oh, no. It better not be,' she thought.

"Hey, this is the Cambridge file," he then said, raising his hand with the file in it, towards Sebastian. "Heard you were looking for it?"

Both Mia and Sebastian looked at him in disbelief.

"How did you get this?" Sebastian asked as he took the file from Shaun and began to flip through it.

"You gave it to me, remember? You told me to look over some of the data?" Shaun replied, a little confused as his eyes slowly trained over Sebastian's littered office.

Meanwhile, Mia looked at him with an annoyed expression for wasting her time.

Sebastian closed his eyes tightly as he remembered that he did give Shaun the file to look over. He thought there was some discrepancies within it and wanted it to be double-check, before he handed it over. Unfortunately, that memory was only coming back to him now.

He avoided looking at Mia, already knowing that her eyes were on him, staring daggers most likely.

"Oh right," Sebastian replied, clearing his throat. "Thank you, Shaun."

"No worries," he smiled and nodded towards Mia, before exiting the office.

Sebastian carried on to look at the door and Mia realised that he was trying to avoid her gaze.

"Would you look at that?" she said in a sweet tone.

Sebastian just closed his eyes once again.

"Don't," he muttered. He really didn't want to hear an 'I told you so' from her.

"I think you owe me an apology," Mia told him.

Immediately, Sebastian turned in her direction.

"Sorry?" He asked, only realising his slip up after the word had already tumbled out.

Mia grinned. "It's okay, I forgive you," she said, before heading out his office.

"Wait, no! I didn't-," Sebastian tried to corrected himself, but she cut him off before he could.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it," Mia shouted back and quickly closed the door, before Sebastian could say anything else and effectively giving her the last word.

"Argh!" Sebastian just yelled in frustration, at letting her win.
