After their meeting had ended, Mia had left Sebastian's office and in the process, she had left everyone stunned.

No one, not even Sebastian, was expecting her to have changed so dramatically. The Mia that they had met in high-school was so dorky and quiet, she couldn't hold eye contact with anyone, much less utter a word in their presence.

Now here she was, a whole new Mia, surprising them all.

Blake was the first to break the silence in the room and all that he could say was, "Whoa."

"That was Mia?" Roman asked both Sebastian and Blake, who were visibly stunned.

Through what Sebastian and Blake had told him about Mia, Roman had heard words like 'nerd, dorky, quiet and shy' to describe her. However, none of them would seem applicable now.

"Yes," Sebastian replied to his question.

He was still standing at his desk from where he had shaken hands with Mia and his eyes were trained on his office door which she had just walked out from.

"The same little nerdy Mia?" Roman asked once more, as if confirming this wasn't some other girl.

"Yes," Sebastian said once again.

However, he himself was internally asking the same question. 'Was this really the same Mia?'.

In his mind, he had a view on how this interaction would go, but he didn't think he'd be challenged by her.

He'd be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. He was, just a little. He had to admire her fighting spirit, whether she was faking it or not. However, at the end of it all, he wasn't going to let someone with a questionable character work for him.

"She's cute," Diana then spoke up as all the guys looked at her. "Still a little nerdy, but cute."

Of the four, Diana was the only one not to hold any kind of judgement against Mia, despite what she heard from Blake and Sebastian. Yes, what she heard didn't exactly make her a fan of Mia, but she hadn't been there at the time.

In a story like that, there were always multiple sides. Everyone had a view on it, yet, from what she was told Mia had never given her account of the event.

"She's a pain in the arse, is what she is," Sebastian muttered, sitting back down into his seat.

He was beginning to realise that he wouldn't be able to get Mia out of his life that easily, something he had not expected.

"I like her," Diana smiled.

All three boys turned to her in shock, as if she had just grown two heads.

"Are you serious?" Blake asked

Diana just shrugged lazily. "She's got spunk."

If Mia was how everyone said she was, then Diana assumed she would have come into the office, in tight clothing, caked-on makeup and flirtatious behaviour. She would've have been all over Sebastian and even Blake and Roman, if she was so desperate.

However, Mia came in, dressed appropriately and clearly just came into the office with the intention to just have her meeting. She seemed less thrilled to be in Sebastian presence, than he was to be in hers.

To Diana, this can't have been the kind of desperate girl they had described in high school.

"Di, she's not real. It's all an act," Blake said.

"Seemed pretty real to me. She even held herself with you two idiots fake coughing," Diana says with a pointed look towards Blake and Roman, referring to their poor attempt of covering up their side comments.

"I had a legitimate cough," Blake tried to defend himself.

Diana scoffed. "As legitimate as my Uncle's toupee," she retorted.

Whilst Diana and Blake bickered, Sebastian was deep in thought. He thought about Diana's words and also tried to understand this 'new' Mia. Was this actually her? Or was this a game? He refused to be duped by someone.

"She's learned to talk," Sebastian spoke out loud.

That was one thing that he definitely noticed. When Mia stayed quiet, he assumed that she was still that meek person, but that clearly wasn't the case anymore.

Diana, who stopped arguing with Blake, looked to Sebastian who was sitting down and leaning his forearms on his desk.

"She's learnt to fight back as well it seems," she noted.

He really hadn't expected Mia to change so much, but then again, the Mia he thought of as Aaron's little sister, wasn't that girl either. Just because she had learnt to answer back to him, it wasn't proof that she had changed completely. He didn't believe this second-act she was pulling, he couldn't.

Whilst Sebastian was thinking, Blake looked to him and noticed that expression on his face - an expression he recognised.

"Don't Seb," Blake warned.

This pulled Sebastian out of his thoughts.

"Don't what?" He asked in confusion.

"Don't fall for her," Blake said.

Just as he had said that, Sebastian face contorted to one of annoyance.

"What the fuck? I'm not falling her," he defended himself.

The idea of falling for Mia was something he loathed. The kind of girl he wanted would be beautiful, intelligent, hard working and caring. Not the kind of girl that goes after other people's boyfriends. That girl would not be Mia.

Blake wanted to believe him but Sebastian's expression had said it all. It was almost a lovesick expression or one of awe.

"Then what was with that look."

"What look?"

"The look," Blake responded, as if this was something Sebastian should just know.

"You did have a look," Roman also mentioned.

Sebastian looked between the two, with an expression of pure bewilderment on his face.

"Oh this is funny," Blake then adds.

"Fuck off, Blake," Sebastian scowled.

"Never," he grinned and then decided to make this interesting. "Actually, I bet you ten pounds you'll fall for her and kiss her within a week," he said.

Sebastian couldn't believe what was coming out of Blake's mouth. Was he actually seriously betting this? Did he not remember the past he shared with Mia? If anything, he'd have her out of this building within a week.

"Your family owns a winery and you bet ten pounds?" Roman asked.

"With the look he had, I'm just trying to save him some money," Blake said with a smirk.

Blake was convinced, he saw something on Sebastian's face. He wasn't actually sure what it was but pissing off Sebastian brought him joy, so he was going along with it.

Truthfully, he was also a little proud of Mia for sticking up for herself this time and wanted to see how this all played out. He didn't really think much of her but right now, she had caught his interest.

"There was no damn look," Sebastian stated, as if the idea of kissing Mia left a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Fine, I'll raise the bet for every week that you don't kiss her, but eventually you will," Blake said, as if he were sure.

Seeing Sebastian's growing annoyance was amusing him and he knew that he was going to enjoy this completely.

"You're going to owe me a lot of money. I'm not going to fall for her and I'm definitely not going to kiss her," Sebastian vowed.

Diana looked at Blake with disgust. "You're sick. How are you making a bet over a girl," she said.

She unamused with Blake's words about a bet over a girl, she felt it was all too juvenile.

"It's not like she's so innocent anyway," Blake shrugged. "Plus it's only about a kiss, it's not like I'm talking about bedding her."

"Don't." Sebastian warned.

"Chill man, she's not that bad looking," Blake then said.

That, unfortunately, was something that he could not deny. She was rather...pretty - even if it pained him to admit it.

Their last two encounters, he hadn't seen her face before, yet he still couldn't look away. The first time he saw her in that lift, it amused him how she wore those trainers. The second time, she wast helping out Harry in the meeting. She did her work, but he still couldn't find it in himself to trust her. He thought she was nerdy back in high-school and look how that turned out.

Sebastian couldn't help but think, how many other times had he come across Mia and not know it was her? Three years she had working in this very building, just two floors below and yet, he had no idea.

"I. Am. Not. Falling. For. Her." Sebastian gritted out, but it only seem to cause further amusement to his two friends.

His mind would go back to the whole prom ordeal and the video of Tucker and Mia. Everything about that video bothered him.

"Well, she's definitely not going to take your shit," Diana quipped.

Part of her was secretly rooting for the girl. She saw a fighter spirit in the girl and was interested to see how that would go, since Sebastian, most likely, wouldn't react well with someone who challenged him.

"If she wants to fight back, then I'll give her something to fight back at," Sebastian replied.

Getting up from his seat, Sebastian walked towards the glass window, gazing over the wide view of the city.

The three look at him weirdly.

"What are you talking about, Seb?" Roman asked.

"I can't fire her cause of Dad but I can always make her quit," he stated, a small smile creeping up on his face.

The way he saw it, his Dad would be disappointed in him if he just fired Mia without giving her a proper chance. However, if Mia wanted to quit on her own, then he would just be disappointed in her.

"How?" Blake then questioned.

Sebastian turned around and held his hands open, gesturing for Roman to throw the basketball towards him.

Once Roman threw the ball, Sebastian began to throw up in the air and catch it back again.

"Increase her workload, drive her insane, make it so she'll beg me to quit," Sebastian mused, a smirk plastered on his face.

Everyone had a limit till they crack, he just had to find hers. If she was still anything like her past-self, then this wasn't going to be hard all. A few days of hard work, she'll probably be asking him to quit.

"She doesn't seem like the one to back down so easily," Diana pointed out once again.

She had an issue with betting, but damn did she want to put her money on this girl.

"It'll be a challenge then," Sebastian said.

He held the basketball in one hand, whilst placing the other in his pocket and turning around once again to look out at the view.

"Well, you do love your challenges," Roman chuckled.

"I love to win and I'm definitely winning this one," Sebastian declared.

He had always loved challenges, the feeling of accomplishing and winning something was like a rush and it was something that Sebastian was always good at.

Losing wasn't something he particularly liked and so made sure to put in the hard work to come out on top, for all of his endeavours.

With this challenge, if he would even call it that, he didn't think it would be hard at all. In fact, Sebastian was pretty confident that Mia, nor her act, was going very last long.

"Poor Mia. She has no idea what she's stepped into," Blake said with a smirk.

She had no idea at all.
