《What happened in Vegas - English version》Chapter 2

"Hello?", comes the voice of the beautiful stranger. On the other end of the line I hear an angry man and the stranger contorts his face in pain.
"Not so loud", he breathes and lowers the phone. I follow his hand with my eyes and see a name on the screen. Jace. I wonder who he is.
Loudly, the angry voice echoes from the phone's speaker.
"Alec. Where are you? Alec? Alec can you hear me?"
"I hear you", he replies. "I hear you very well, actually." His penetrating gaze captivates me. He has really beautiful eyes.
"Where are you? I've already searched half the hotel for you." He rolls his eyes and it looks so hot.
"I don't think I'm in our hotel at all."
"I don't understand. Didn't you come back with us?"
"I don't know", he says hesitantly. "I can barely remember anything." I feel the same way.
"Yeah that's how I feel too. And Simon too. Where are you? Do you want me to pick you up?" He looks around searchingly, but immediately turns his gaze back to me. I still haven't moved.
"Maybe it would be good if you came here with Simon."
"Yes. Fine. But where to?", this Jake guy asks.
"Wait. I'll see if I can find a name real quick. Maybe in the bathroom." Alec stands up and the blanket falls off his hips entirely. I'm getting hot and I feel like I'm going to collapse. This ass. Fuck why am I always passive?
Before he starts his walk in search of a hotel name, he turns around briskly and I hold my breath in shock. My fingertips start tingling again as I see his magnificent cock and immediately have clear images in my head.

"Did we have sex?", he calls out loudly and I wake up from a dream of his cock in my mouth.
"What?", I ask and hear the voice on the phone chuckle.
"You had sex and you don't remember? Jeez Alec, that only happens to you."
Alec doesn't find this funny at all and neither do I. That's why my butt hurts. What the hell have we been up to? He holds an open condom packet out to me and raises an eyebrow. At least we still thought about contraception.
"That's not funny!" He exclaims and disappears towards the bathroom. At least, I assume the bathroom is behind that door. I hear him talking softly and then swearing. I'm still looking at the door ajar, trying to sort out my thoughts. Alec comes back into the bedroom and strokes his hair nervously. His body is really something to behold.
"We'll wait for you. And then we'll try to find out together what exactly happened", Alec says. An annoyed groan escapes his mouth and something stirs in my head. Shaking his head, he stands there, naked and beautiful. I know exactly why I chose him. He's a perfect distraction.
"What's your name?", he asks in a soft voice.
"Magnus", I reply, not a whit smarter than I was five minutes ago. Our names won't help us fill in all the memory gaps.
"Oh Jace. Bring two headache tablets please", says Alec and hangs up. The phone lands on the bed and he paces the room nervously.
"Maybe we should take a shower first", I say. Alec stops abruptly and looks at me angrily.
"We should. Separately. And then, let's talk about this", he presses out angrily and holds his hand out to me with the ring on his finger.

"Are you angry with me? I'm wearing this thing too and I can't remember a thing", I bluster back at him, upset.
"Do you think I like this? Obviously we had sex last night. And neither of us remembers. Which is unfortunate when I look at you." Embarrassed, he gathers up his clothes that are scattered all over the room. Alec slips into his shorts and pulls on a shirt. Then he disappears back into the bathroom and I drop onto the bed, sighing.
I hear the sound of the water and my head wants to explode. I feel nauseous and like I've been hit by a bus. But worst of all is the fact that I can't remember anything. An important piece of information is pressing against my forehead, but it won't come out. The strange feeling of having forgotten something important comes over me.
There is really only one solution to the fact that we both wear a ring on our finger. And Elvis would also fit into the picture. But can that be? How drunk was I to agree to that? Pretty much the way it looks. The shower has stopped running by now and Alec comes back into the bedroom dressed in a white bathrobe.
"There is a bathrobe hanging next to the shower. I texted Jace to bring fresh clothes." The confusion must be written all over my face. Because Alec just shakes his head and strokes his still wet hair again. Why does he keep doing that?
"You can wear last night's clothes too. But if yours smell as much like cold cigarette smoke and rum as mine do, I imagine you won't want to wear them again."
"No." I say curtly. It occurs to me that I don't have any other clothes with me at all.
"Do they have toothbrushes here?", I ask and Alec nods.
"But no toothpaste. Where's your stuff?"
"At home. And it's not here."
"Don't you have any luggage with you? How long are you staying?", asks Alec.
"I don't know. I got on the plane and didn't have anything with me except my phone and wallet."
"Why?", he asks curiously.
Yes why, actually? Should I tell him the truth?
"Because my boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend was planning a wedding. For us. I wasn't planning on getting married", I say. Alec looks at me in irritation.
"I guess that didn't work out so well."
"'Why?"
"I found this in the pocket of my pants. Congratulations. You're married. To me."

The job that was supposed to just be about money quickly spirals into a fierce loyalty, one that leads him to the front lines in order to desperately prevent another war from beginning.
