《The Boy in the Woods (boyxboy)》Chapter 2

"I don't see why we need to go to school. I mean, it's obvious were already capable enough of being Alphas. As Alphas, why would we need to know what a gerund is or how to do a system of equations? It's complete bullshit. I'm getting really tired of the Elders bossing us around like-"
I snapped my head to glare at Galen as he was about to insult the Elders. He shut his mouth quickly and looked away. It's very stupid and childish to insult the Elders and he knows it. "It's not just about learning, it's about the experience. Plus, I'm actually excited. I wanna hear some more about the ghost boy," I said to him with a small smile on my face. He rolled his eyes at the mention of ghost boy again.
"How can you really believe that? It's probably just some animal out in the woods or a boy that just plays in the forest. Doesn't sound very special to me," he said. I just shook my head. He never takes interest in anything.
We were currently pulling up the school we were suppose to go to, Wayland High School. Home of the Bobcats hockey team. It's quite large with two stories. The grass was a fading green, almost tented brown. Students were all rushing to get into school, seeing as school has already started. We're only late because Galen said being "fashionably late" is cool. I found a parking space near a tree by the front lawn and parked. Galen jumped out of the car the moment I parked and went around the back. I got out and went to the back and opened with the key. We got our bags and paperwork and headed toward the school.
As we entered, the kids who were scrambling to get their school books out of their lockers stopped and stared. We walked by, as if too cool, and headed for the office. A black-haired female student was sitting at the desk and was typing on the computer. It's probably a student chore kind of thing. Galen wandered to the other side of the office and looked at the pamphlets that were on display, probably another effect to look cool, while I went for the girl at the desk. She looked up as I approached.
"New students! Wow! We don't get a lot of those around here. Name?" She asked in a rush with a giant smile on her face. I smiled a small smile in return.
"Um, Damian Moriarty." I said. She nodded and started typing and clicking on the keyboard. "My brother is Galen Moriarty," I added on while nodding my head to where he stood. She nodded again without taking her eyes off the computer. She stood up and walked to the printer as it shot papers out. She brought the papers over and I saw she had a name tag on the read "Lena". She handed the papers out and I took them. "Thanks, Lena," I told her with a smile. He cheeks stained red with blush she nodded and went back to the computer.

I walked over to Galen and handed him his schedule. "Same schedules, huh?" He asked sarcastically, before looking up to meet my eyes. I nodded and he scoffed. We walked out the office to go to our first class, which was World History. We walked through the halls until we came upon the room that held the class. We exchanged troubled looks when we realized we'd have to introduce ourselves. It will probably go like this: 'Well, class, here are new students. Please introduce yourselves and give us three hobbies which you enjoy'. Because that's how it always is on television. We knocked on the door and waited patiently.
Immediately after we knocked, a loud "Come in!" came from inside. Galen, being the one to make an entrance, swung the door opened and swaggered through the doorway as if a popstar. Idiot. I followed behind, walking like a regular person, and closed the door behind me. I looked around to see about 20 or so students staring at us. The clearing of a throat sounded across the room and I looked to see a fairly young man staring expectantly at us. Clearly, he was the teacher.
"Who might you be?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. Oh god, please no, Galen. No sarcas-
"Well, seeing as you've never seen us before, why don't you take a guess and think that we are new students," Galen said, smartly. Jackass. The females in the class giggled. Some guys even giggled. I clenched my jaw and swung my arm around to hit him hard in the back of the neck, so he was now on his hands and knees. I smiled sweetly to the teacher.
"We are the new kids in town, Galen and Damian Moriarty. I'm Damian, he's Galen. I apologize on behalf of my idiotic brother, he was dropped as a baby," I said with a smile. The teacher smiled an amused smile, which means he likes me better than my brother. The people in the class were all struggling not to laugh. I still had a grip on my brother's neck. It was quite the scene.
The teacher sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Introduce yourselves to the class, and say three things you like to do in your free time," he said as he turned around back to his desk behind him. I turned to my classmates and smiled.
"As to formally introduce myself, I am Damian Moriarty and I just moved here. I like to-"
Galen swung his arm up and captured my neck in a chokehold. He smirked to the class. "My name is Galen. I'm this guys twin. Just moved here. My favourite things to do in my free time are playing basketball, kicking my brother's ass, and having sex wi-"
I interrupted him and grabbed the back of his shirt, then pulled him to the conveniently two open seats in the back. The class stared as I pulled him, but I don't care. He's embarrassing me. I threw him into the chair and sat next to him. The teacher, who was apparently watching the entire ordeal, pointed at me, and said "I like you. You and I will be getting along." I nodded respectfully and put my attention to the subject. Galen kicked me under the table and mumbled something about a jackass and a rubber toe.

I looked around the room, only to stop short at the sight of the girl from the woods. She was already staring at me. I stared back until she mouthed, "meet me outside", and I nodded.
Class went on slowly, especially when learning about Adolf Hitler, who we've heard about so many times. After the 50 minutes class time, the bell finally rang. I stood up from my chair and walked outside. I stood by the doorway while students filed out into the corridors and waited for the girl.
"Hey!" A female voice said from behind me. I jumped and looked behind me, it's the girl. I smiled.
"Hey, fancy seeing you here, huh?" I said while wiggling my eyebrows. She laughed and pulled me toward the doors outside. "What about class?" I asked. She looked back at me.
"I know it's your first day and all, but I can tell you really wanna know about the ghost boy. So we're gonna go to the woods and I'm gonna explain everything. Got it?" She said slowly, as if I was a child. I rolled my eyes but nodded. She steered me out the doors and we headed straight for the woods that lined around the back area of the school. Lots of kids were wondering around the school grounds, so it's probably expected that people skip a lot.
We went past the tree line so we got deeper and deeper. The deeper we got, the darker it got. The girl pulled me over to a tree stump and pushed me down on it. She sat beside me and put a finger to her lips. "Try and be as quiet as possible, and listen very carefully to the sounds of the forest," she whispered. I nodded and closed my eyes.
I used my wolf hearing, and extended my range of hearing as far as I could. Then, I sat and concentrated. Everything sounded normal. The trickling of water, the chatter of chipmunks and squirrels in the trees, the chirping of bugs, and th- wait. What is that noise?
The rustling of something- no, someone, running through the trees. You could tell the person was light, and obviously very graceful. From the sounds of the person landing on tree branches, you could also tell that this person was used to the forest. And believe it or not, more in tune with nature than werewolves! I could tell the person was getting closer by the shifting of leaves on the trees. It's as if the person is made of air!
The closer the person got, the more I could deduct about their character. The person is a boy, I can tell from his breathing patterns. He is very in tune with nature. It stuns me from how beautiful it sounds. It struck me as I listen, that this boy is coming straight toward us. He seems to be slowing down as he gets near. He obviously wants to check out who's invaded the forest.
I opened my eyes as I realized he was about 15 feet away from us and was still getting closer. I looked to the girl and saw that she was looking at me with wide eyes. She quietly got a pen out of her book bag and grabbed my arm and write something on it.
'The boy never comes this close!'
I furrowed my eyebrows and nodded toward the way we came, asking if we should leave. She shook her head, excitement is brewing in her eyes. The sight of this boy must be very rare, seeing as she is getting this excited. Why would he be coming this close now if not before when others wanted to see him? The rustling got closer and the sight of a figure jumping from tree limb to tree limb above us caught our attention. We couldn't see who it is, the darkness of the forest obstructed our view. He jumped from one limb to another and got lower. The sight of his hands and feet was in our view now. He has very pale skin and dirty smudges on his feet. He landed on another branch, and I noticed he has claws. What the hell? Cat claws?
He jumped across to another branch that was lower to our level and hissed. He hissed like a damn cat. He got lower and lower until he was on the ground, still in darkness. You could definitely tell that he's naked. His... Frontal parts are in direct sight, and he was fairly small in that department. He was in the position that Tarzan took, except instead of his hands balled in fists and walking on his knuckles, he was walking by putting most of his weight on his back legs as he balanced himself on his fingers. His hair was thick and fluffy, flowing down until it landed mid-back. He quickly hid behind a bush and stared at us with glowing eyes. They were... Bright green. Like, glowing green.
He looked me straight in the eyes for a moment and whispered something in... Japanese? The girl beside me gasped and stepped back. The movement apparently startled the boy, who snapped his head to glare at her and hissed and bounded into the forest with graceful speed. I sat there shocked for a moment, before turning back to the girl.
"What's wrong?" I asked. She stayed silent for a few moments.
Then, she finally turned to me with astonishment in her eyes.
"The boy... He said 'Who are you' in Japanese."
