《My darling mate - Klaus x OC》25 #

When we arrive in Chicago Nik drives us to a storage unit that now held his family. Nik had told me about him and Stefan shortly after we had met so I knew all about Chicago and how Stefan used to be.
"Welcome back to Chicago, Stefan." Nik stops the car and all three of get out. I leave the sleeping puppy where he is but keep the door open so he could jump out when he woke up.
"What are we doing here?" the Salvatore vampire asked while I placed a fresh bowl of water and food on the floor by the car for Titan.
"I know how much you love it here. Bringing back memories of the good old ripper days?" We both watch as my mate opens a set of doors and looks out at the skyline.
"Blacked out most of them. Lot of blood, lot of partying. The details are all a blur." I let Stefan and Nik talk with out me interrupting and move to stand next to Nik. I place my arm around his waist and put my hand in his back pocket while he rests his arm over my shoulders as I focus on the baby's heart beat. I added a charm to my ring last night so no one would hear the babies heartbeat apart from myself, Nik and anyone else I decided to tell.
"Well, that is a crying shame. The detail are what makes it legend" Nik starts narrating the story of the 'ripper of Monterey'. I tune them out and go back to the car just as Titan wakes up. I smile when he barks happily before eating.
"Chicago was magical" I continue listen to the boys as I sit on the floor rubbing Titan's belly while he tries to bite my fingers, his slightly too big ears flopping about.

"Yeah, well, I'll take your word for it. Like I said, I don't remember most of it."
"Down to business, then?"
"Why am I still with you? Why are either of us with you? We had our fun, Your hybrids were a success"
"Well, I don't know about you Stefan, but Niklaus and I are soulmates. Did we forget to tell you. Oops" I tilt my head to the side a little as I smirk at the green eyed vamp. Nik chuckles at Stefan's dumbfounded expression and I roll my eyes with a smile before turning my attention back to the puppy.
"We're going to see my favorite witch. If anyone can help with my next problem it will be her." Nik walks over to me and 'reluctantly' picks Titan up. He was still pretending that he didn't care for the K-9 but no one was believing it. I also didn't know what the problem was as Nik hadn't told me, and quite frankly I didn't ask.
I mean he was my mate and I love him, but he had a thousand years worth of problems that I knew if I tried to fix or even begin to understand I would only give myself a headache.
We all get into the car and Nik has one of his hybrids drive us to the bar once he gives them a location. The Hybrids name was Tony and he was another one of my Soul siblings so Nik was okay for me to spend time with him alone since he knew Tony wouldn't make any moves, even if he was a giant flirt.
It also meant that Nik trusted Tony and the other way around. When we get to the bar I give Titan to Tony along with the lead. "Mind taking him for a walk brother."

"Course not, Sunshine." He smirks at the nickname but I simply roll my eyes, no longer amused by it. It wasn't a bad nickname but he made sure to use it as much as possible to the point that I would be sick of hearing by the end of the day, and Nik would be tempted to kill him.
The three of us walk into the bar while Tony walks off with Titan jumping after him trying to get the treat bag from Tony's belt.
"Looks familiar doesn't it" Nik talks over his shoulder to Stefan while I walk beside my mate, our fingers laced together.
"I can't believe this place is still here." Nik goes to say something when a female voice interrupts him. "You gotta be kidding me."
The three of us turn to see a lady with cropped white hair and mocha skin. She had slight wrinkles and large hooped earrings with multiple necklaces stacked together around her neck. It was clear that she was beautiful and was even more so in her youth.
"So a hybrid walks into a bar, says to the bartender--" Nik starts with a smirk but the lady stops him before he can finish. I could feel from her aura that she was a witch. "Stop. You may be invincible, but that doesn't make you funny." I giggle at her words and turn to Nik. "Darling, I like her" I peck his lips before waving to the lady as I walk down the steps into the main section of the bar. She smirks at me before turning to the boys. "I remember you"
"Yeah. You're Gloria. Shouldn't you be--?" Stefan looks at her properly while I mentally thank him since know I finally knew her name.
"Old and dead? now if I die, who's gonna run this place, huh?" I smile at her bluntness before giving Stefan a reprimanding look. "Stefan, it's rude to mention a ladies age. Thought you were raised with more manners then that." I tut playfully as I make Nik a drink from behind the bar.
I place a glass of scotch onto the table before going into the kitchen to search for something non-alcoholic. I rummage through the fridge and find a carton of apple juice so I take it. Since I was already in the kitchen and figured Gloria wouldn't mind I made breakfast for the three of us along with a little extra encase Gloria was hungry as well.
When I'm done I walk out with my plate in one hand and apple juice in the other. Two other plates were floating behind me and I set them on the bar. I happily eat my pancakes and fruit while sipping on the juice in between bites and swinging my legs back and forth. I feel Nik's amusement at me through the bond as he watches me.
The hybrid joins me while Stefan stands behind the bar staring a photo in hand. At my confused look Nik fills me in. Apparently while I was gone Stefan found out about him and Nik being friends.
"Stefan stop overthinking and eat. You haven't had a decent meal for weeks. You need it." He listens to me and eats from his plate without moving from behind the bar.

But for now the last surviving son of House Rotwald is on the run. *This story is as much about the monsters as it is about the people facing them. Some become allies while others become wet stains on the floor. I firmly believe that villains can make for some of the most endearing characters. Monsters need not be sour and droll. Have a bit of fun - indulge in a bit of villainy. The Shattered Circle
Aleyr Frostborn has survived a hundred prophecies of her defeat, breaking each one by slaying the champions of light sent to kill her. Amongst the forces of good, her very name is a curse, and with good reason. Beyond her own evil, it is said that so long as she lives, the reign of the Godslayer himself will last: the lich king who the terrified masses call the King in Black. While the kingdoms and empires that surround the blighted lands of the undead lands struggle to survive and beat back the tide of evil, the machinations of the Eternal Kingdom's dark court barely contain the bitter struggles for power between the forces that have made it what it is. With one foretold hero brutally snuffed out, another will inevitably arise. For Aleyr, the cycle only further embitters her towards the gods of good and all those who serve them. But the truth is that her downfall might be something much closer to home than their prophecies, those last dregs of mortality beating inside her own chest. With a thoughtless intersection between cruelty and mercy, she begins a chain of events that threatens to tear the Eternal Kingdom and her own loyalties into shreds. After all, many things can be broken, not just prophecies.
