Growing up in an Asian community, later moved to an African country and neither being particularly supportive and open with the LGBT+ community, it's no wonder my sexuality was "developed" later than it should. My family are atheists, but gay/bi/pan etc. people are considered weird and somewhat unreal in the country that I am from.

Since I was little, I always found interest (by that I mean wonder at their attractiveness) in pretty girls that I saw in movies or videos or in my school, but I never thought much into it as I thought I didn't wanna be WITH them, that I only wanted to be LIKE them. That is one sure sign that I could have noticed but didn't. Another one being that I had to control myself not to look everywhere in girls changing rooms when I didn't have as much of a problem when it came to half naked dudes.

I only started accepting myself and learning along the way when I came across Instagram accounts sharing stories (and memes) and I felt so related and understood and I am very thankful for the Internet for that.

I am comfortable with the label "bisexual", (not that I think labels really matter) thus explaining the other part of my sexuality that I was able to keep hidden for all these years and only now discovering.

I am still in the closet, and I will come out when I am 100% comfortable and ready to
