Hakm bin Ateaba narrated, "We were at one of Imam Sadiq's sessions, it was filled with people.

In between these people an old man holding a walking stick walked in and stood next to the door and said, "Assalam o Alaikum, O Son of Messenger of Allah."

Imam (as) replied: "Wa alaykumu as-salam."

Then the old man faced the people and said hello to them.

Then he said to Imam (as), "O Son of Messenger of Allah allow me to come closer to you, I Swear to Almighty Allah I love you, To Allah I don't love you and your friends for this World's greed.

I consider your enemy, my own enemy and despise them, I Swear to God I don't consider your enemy my enemy because of the crime they committed against me but because of them being your enemy.

I Swear to God I consider what you consider halal to be halal and what you consider haram to be haram.

Do you have any hope for my salvation?"

Imam (as) replied: "Come closer, Come closer." Until he let the old man sit next to him.

Then Imam (as) said: "O Sheikh! A man asked my father Ali ibn Hussain (as) the same question.

My father replied: "If you pass away, the reward you'll obtain because of this love that you have is;

Being in the presence of Messenger of Allah (saw),

Ali (as), Hassan (as), Hussain (as) & Ali ibn Hussain (as).

You will be welcomed and happy.

Your heart will be calm,

Your eyes will turn bright.

You'll be greeted by Angels when you are dying.

When your soul reaches your throat, if you stay alive you'll see something in your life that Allah (swt) will turn your eyes bright with it,

And if you pass away, in Hereafter you'll be in great degrees of Paradise with us Ahlulbayt (as)."

The old man replied, "Allahu Akbar!"

He began breathing heavily and crying until he fell to the ground.

Other people in the session also began crying as they witnessed the old man.

Imam (as) wiped his tears with his finger.

The old man lifted his head up and said to Imam (as): "O Son of Messenger of Allah, give me your hand. He kissed Imam's Hand. Then got up, said good bye to people and walked out of the place.

While Imam (as) was looking at him from the back, he said,

"Whoever wants to look at a man from Paradise, look at this man."
