At 11, in year 6, I started developing a crush for my close friend let's call her Amy. I used to swoon over her until I realised that 'it was wrong for girls to like girls'.

Skip to year 7, I had grown out of my little crush. I decided to join the drama club (I was forced by my teacher) with Amy. We met my best friend there but at the time I didn't know she'd help me a lot. When I looked at her, I kinda knew she wasn't straight. It's just how she seemed to me. I don't know why.

Once again. Skip ahead to year 8. My now best friend was in the class and we bonded over fandoms. We came out to each other at the same time. She was being pestered by these kids that she liked this boy. I asked her if she was gay. No was the answer. Then bisexual. No again. Pansexual. She rushed no. That's when I decided the time was right.

I said 'oh, well I am' . She was shocked. She said she was afraid of what I thought and that she was Pan too. She also explained how she kinda expected that as apparently she caught me staring at a girls bum. Oops?

Anyway. I've always been optimistic and I don't plan on changing. I love who I am and wouldn't change for anyone. Man, woman, any gender.
