⚧Hey :3. My name is Evanescence, but I go by Evan. I am a Transgender male, and also Pansexual.⚧

☻I've been lucky and have had incredibly supportive friends who like me for who I am, but my family isn't so accepting.☹

☠When I told my mom I was transgender, she nearly cried, and since it was a school day, I let her be alone and went to school. Sadly, she called my dad and he picked me up from school early.☠

☾When we got home, my parents told me that I wasn't transgender and scheduled an appointment with a therapist. While they were doing that, I went to my room and cried, and I heard my dad ask my mom, "Okay, but is the therapist going to think that this is okay?"☽

☄When I went to the therapist, my parents plan completely backfired. She accepted me and told me that it will just take my parents to get used to this change. Her daughter is even gay!☄

☼My parents just slid all of this underneath them and still believe I'm a girl, but I'm still a guy. Nothing's changed☼

☆Every night I look out at the stars, and admire how even though they've exploded, their light still shines brightly, illuminating the dark sky, and it gives me courage to believe in myself and keep going, even though it's hard and not everyone will accept me, like my parents.☆

☮I just need to say that you don't have to come out if you don't want to. If you think it will end badly, don't do it. You don't have to meet anyone's standards, and your safety and happiness is top priority.☮
