The name's Bree. Proud, tiny Pansexual, who has yet to come out to any family. The majority of my friends know, and some of them are straight as a curved line as well. For a while, I've even had a girlfriend, which is much better than all my past boyfriends who were all jerks. But that's beside the point!

I have no idea how my family feels about the LGBTQ+ community, except my closeted lesbian sister. I don't know if they will take it well or not. To be honest, I'm terrified. Every time the though so much as crosses my mind, my heart races, my palms start to sweat, and breathing becomes a slight challenge. I want to tell them, I really do, but I just can't. Even telling my closest friend was tough, and I knew she was cool with it before I did.

I don't know how I should even come out. I don't want it to be a serious conversation. I don't know. But each day, I get a little more courage to tell them. That's what this story was really all about. My ability to gain courage to reveal my true self. Who knows, maybe I'll come out this weekend when my grandma is here. Probably not though. That would be a little weird...
