Okay so my coming out story is a ROLLERCOASTER.
Im Mel. My real name is Mileena (like from mortal kombat)
But when I was really young. I'd say probably around 9 or 10, I realized I was really not into boys.
I tried so hard to teach myself to like boys. I even had about 3 actual boyfriends since 5th grade to 7th.
But by the time 8th grade came, I knew that I had no interest in boys..I loved hanging out with them..just couldn't grow feelings for them.
The end of 8th grade year was the hardest time to keep my hormones in check, haha! I wanted so bad just to find a girlfriend.. But I still was in the closet.
Visually, I'm one hundred percent positive that someone would easily be able to tell I was gay/lesbian.. But what I would think was, "why isn't there any girls here that look..well..GAY "
It was very frustrating times.
Then HIGHSCHOOL came. I excepted myself as having a gender fluid identity, and being transgender agender with a hint of pansexuality.. But i STILL hadn't told anyone.
And you wouldn't believe how my life went up and down.
Freshman year.... THEE WORST time to be closet.
Its the honest truth guys..
Even As I was obviously gay/lesbian , I would still shy up and say "no" to certain people.
Until the end of freshman year, I couldn't take it anymore..
I ran up to all my friends and random people at lunch and just yelled "I'M GAY, IS THAT OKAY?"
to every. Single. One of them.
And they all relievingly said.. "Yea that's cool, we all kinda knew anyway"
So life went on and it was good.
Sophomore year came and I came to knew a lot of other lgbtq students.
I became close friends to all of them.. And by becoming friends with a certain group of funny, out going, unique and awesomely amazing nerds.. I managed to meet my current datemate..my pansexual girlfriend Luna.
And as sophomore year ended I had many bumps and bruises. But coming out was the best thing that I ever did.
Now I'm just waiting for junior year to bring its LGBTQ MILESTONES.
