Hi guys, my name is Zaira. I'm an author on Wattpad and this is my story:

The first time I realised that I'm bisexual was when I was 12 years old. I had a best friend in my old school who was very close to me, and who was also my first kiss. She was just talking—whatever 12 years old can talk about, probably her Barbie dolls—and I got so mesmerised by her lips, so I was like 'fuck it' and I kissed her. Her reaction is kind of the reason that we don't talk anymore.

On that day, I cried like a bitch but I was also aware of the LGBT's around the world, and somehow, I accepted myself and who I am. However, I talked to no one about it, at all. I'm sixteen years old now—half way to seventeen—and no one knows that I'm bisexual except for my internet best friend and my readers.

I came out here on Wattpad a few weeks ago, after the Brussels attack. As you might or might not know, everything that happens in the world now is blamed on Muslims, and that day—the Brussels attack day—triggered the anger inside me. Why? Because for one, I'm Muslim, and the awful things they say about Muslims in the media is nothing but lies and rumours. For two, I'm bisexual and I probably never will be accepted in my society.

I might bring shame to my religion, family and society, but I bring nothing but freedom and love for myself.

I'm a hardcore tomboy and a feminist and I'm so proud of who I'm and what I'm now. I'm fucking bisexual, Muslim, feminist and a tomboy. No one knows this but so fucking little and they're only here on Wattpad, yet I feel so fucking proud and so free.

I've been so hesitate about writing this but seeing all the stories encouraged me to do it, and I'm so happy that Wattpad has such an account for the LGBTQ community.
