《Zyon: The Alpha Of The North》Chapter Six

The flight to Daniel's hometown is about two hours, not too long. But flying is something I've never particularly enjoyed. I'm too restless and I hate sitting in one place for too long. I like to be on my feet, walking about. The flight is excruciatingly long for me though, because I keep replaying my conversation with Zyon over and over again. I can't seem to figure out why he was even there. What if Alpha Amor and him are drawing some sort of alliance? That would mean he would be at our pack occasionally and honestly I just couldn't handle too many run ins with him. He's all I think about for the next week after I see him.
As I make my way out of the airport, I see Daniel waiting for me with a bouquet of pink roses. I feel so relieved to see him, that's sharply contrasted with all the anxiety I feel when I see Zyon. I rush into his arms, practically throwing myself at him. "
I say before planting my lips on his for a quick peck. Public displays of affection isn't something I'm too comfortable with.
We head towards the exit, as he fills me in on what his parents are planning for their anniversary celebration. It's next week so they want to head a little up north, it's not too far from where we currently live. Maybe an hour's drive at most. Close to Zyon's pack though. Man, I hate myself for dragging thoughts of him into everything.
We drive into a large gate, that is the entrance to Daniel's parent's house. His parents are pretty well-off and live in a huge mansion type house, with enough rooms for the whole family and their respective children. Daniel's brothers, Dominic and Dylan, each have two children with their spouses Lily and Emily. They're all pretty well-settled. As we enter the house, the smell of a home-cooked meal wafts into my nose and my mouth begins to water. Daniel's mom's cooking is unbeatable. I run into the kitchen and hug his mom from behind. "

I head to find Dylan, Dominic, Lily and Emily, each of whom meet me so warmly. It's like these guys are a pack of their own- my human pack. Replacement for my werewolf pack. As we sit around the table, cracking jokes and poking fun at one another, I feel an insane amount of love for each person at the table and I know they're irreplaceable for me. There is nothing I wouldn't do for them.
Daniel's father pauses, and all eyes on the table turn to me.
Dominic teases.
"I whine.
Dylan retorts.
Lily says.
I huff.
Daniel says,
Emily says, as everyone starts laughing.
I say to Daniel. I turn to everyone else and say, "
The day is over before I know it and Daniel and I are heading back home on Monday morning, with the promise of seeing everyone the next week. We are home by noon and I head straight to the office from the airport, knowing I'm already late for work and have a meeting with Alpha Amor. I changed on the plane, into my pencil knee-length grey skirt, black sleeveless tucked in blouse, with black heels. I tied my hair up into a high pony, letting a couple of strands fall onto my face. I applied black eyeliner that make my eyes pop and some nude lipstick to complete my look.
As I speed walk into the office, I wave to Yasmeen at her desk, and quickly tell her I'll catch up with her at lunch and then walk straight into Amor's office.
"
At this point, I went numb. I didn't really know what to say. I just nodded my head and said, I walked out off the room, right back to my desk, with my head spinning. I don't even spend a lot of time on the packlands but because I'm associated with the pack on corporate terms, it could mean potential run ins. Also the traditions that all pack members would have to attend at the time of the alliance were worrisome for me. Alpha Amor had mentioned runs in wolf form. No one apart from Zarah and Yasmeen knew that I couldn't transform into my wolf anymore. It's why I had to quit being a warrior. Hadn't felt the breaking of bones and exhilarating feeling of transforming into your wolf in years now. This deal was going to be finalised this week, which meant the alliance events would be next week. I probably would be able to avoid them if I filled out the paperwork for my leave next week. My mind was going into overdrive by this point- trying to find ways to avoid midnight packs' Alpha at all cost.

After finishing off my work for the day and leaving my paperwork for approval of leave on Alpha Amor's desk, I decided to walk home and called Yasmeen and Zarah. Via conference call, I filled them out on everything Alpha Amor had told me. It just meant I would have to have my repressant pills on me at all times- after the alliance went through. Zyon could potentially show up on packlands whenever he wanted, after the alliance went through. I stayed up all night replaying the consequences and advantages of an alliance with the Midnight pack and aside from my personal reasons, an alliance with them was beneficial to us. The next morning, I dressed in long white bellbottom pants and tucked in a olive blouse. I styled my hair into beach waves. I wore white strappy heels, and completed the look with a nude- brownish lipstick and mascara. Although, I felt great, I couldn't shake the feeling of dread that had settled into the pit of my stomach. I grabbed my repressant pills, which Daniel thought were my sleeping pills and put the bottle into my bag-like I said they had to be with me always.
As I got into the office, I found Alpha Amor standing at the entrance waiting for me. "
The feeling of dread in my stomach suddenly started to make sense. My mouth went dry. I knew there was no way I could get out of this. Alpha would make me go to seal this deal, so I said, "So I went in, took out two repressant pills and had them, hunched onto the floor in pain. Recovered. Took a deep breath and then headed out back towards the Alpha, mentally preparing myself to see Zyon.

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

Blind As a Bat [1st book complete]
Book 1 He was cast to the edges of his clan. His father could not stand to even look at him. His baby sister probably didn't even know he was her brother... All because he, unlike all other vampire (The correct terminology will be Wanpyrkos; van-peer-coe-s) kind, was born blind. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
