《Mianite- The Life of Prince Andor》The Turning Point

I spent about a month making the white sculpture. It slowly took the form of a person reaching towards the sky. I carved the words "The True God of Ruxomar" into it. My father and Al believed it was Mianite, since I didn't specify that it was a goddess. Until the last day, it looked male. Everyone believed it was Mianite.

On the last day, I gave the statue long, flowing hair and a dress. I did it while Al and Helgrind were nowhere to be seen, so I could carry out my full plan before getting caught.

That was the day that, once again, everything changed. Only this time, I wanted it to happen.

"Citizens of Ruxomar!" I yelled in the way that my father usually did. "I am holding a town meeting. Everyone is invited. Outcasts and people who don't worship Mianite are welcome too." The last part was mostly aimed at Tom. I wasn't going to tolerate this anymore.

Sparklez was the first to arrive, looking worried. "Andor? What's going on?"

I looked into his terrified eyes and thought of Steve's last words to me. "Please, Sparklez. Just go with it. No matter what happens, it is for the better. I promise." I cleared my throat and looked away from him so as not to tear up. This was my moment. I needed to be strong.

Once all of the sky people arrived, I began my speech. "I suppose that, by now, you've noticed the statue right outside of the town, next to the bridge. I've been building it for a month, shaping it to look like Mianite. But you see, I changed it today. I think that you all know who it is of." I had never felt such a rush of anger before. Adrenaline rushed through my veins, and I felt weightless. There would be no more.

"Ianite!" Sparklez gasped. His face seemed to be flickering between awe at my courage and worry for the consequences of my courage. That had been my reaction while devising the plan, but I had no worries now. This is what I was meant to do. I could feel Ianite's godly strength rushing through my body and swirling around me. She was with me. She was on my side.

"What is this?" Helgrind had arrived, and looked outraged. "I knew it! I knew you worshipped Ianite! You traitor! You disgrace!"

"You're the disgrace!" I screamed back. "You are a disgrace to this town! You took her town and you turned it to your own little Mianite-loving world. How could you?"

"She killed Freya and Alva! She murdered your family, and you still side with her? You're absolutely disgusting!" He spun around and yelled for Alister. I knew I didn't have much time left.

"I refuse to fight!" I yelled, wind coming from my mouth and spinning around me. "I have never shown any aggression. I have held only this boomerang! We can accept the gods in peace. There is no need for a battle!"

"Andor!" Lieutenant Al had arrived, and he was waving his sword around furiouslu. "Have I discovered a rebellion against Mianite?" a cruel smile crawled across his face. "Looks like you'll be coming with me. There is no room for traitors in Ruxomar."

But as I continued speaking, he could barely come closer. The wind held him back. Ianite wanted me to finish.

"Why won't you accept my peace offering, Al?" I asked, holding out my boomerang to him, even though I knew he'd never take it. "Don't you remember how Dagrun used to be?"

Refusing to listen to me, Al inched closer and closer to me. As he was within a few feet of me, he started swinging his sword wildly.

"Don't you dare touch him!" Sparklez yelled, leaping in front of me. My heart filled with joy at his dedication, but I knew that it wouldn't do anything by delay him a few seconds.

"Nobody shall stand in my way!" the lieutenant thundered, knocking him to the side. Sparklez fell to the pavement and quickly crawled out of the way.

I refused to move, even as Al was right in front of me. I stared into his emerald-green eyes and held out my boomerang. "Accept my peace offering." Al stopped for a moment and stared back at me. Then, he reached out with the flat side of his golden blade and struck me across the face.

The last thing I remember was the sound of Sparklez screaming as I fell to the ground and everything went black.
