Tucker's POV:

Today was the day. The end of our adventure. Whether it continues after this for some of us, I had no idea. Whether I perish or not, I was uncertain. All I knew, was that I'd rather die than risk Sonja's life. I stood in the kitchen of our house, arguing with my wife about this fact.

"You can't dictate what I do in life!"

"I'm not trying to!"

"Well you're doing a shit job of it!"

"I just want to protect you!"

"I can look after myself! I don't need protecting!"

"Sonja I'm serious! You could die!"

"SO COULD YOU!!! You don't think I'm worried about you getting hurt?! I'm terrified! But I won't keep you here against your will! Because I trust you know how to look after yourself!" She half yelled, half cried.

"..."

"Please just let me go with you! I want to help! This is my home too! My friends, and my life! I want to protect them all!" She protested.

"..."

"So please! Just let me go....." she sobbed, tears starting to flow freely down her red face.

For the first time in a while, I stood speechless, and unsure of myself...

Toms POV:

"WHY ARE YOU SO PISSED OFF ABOUT THIS?!" I yelled at the angry penguin before me.

"Because you are betraying us! And your god!!!" The yellow skinned one with the crossed eyes piped in.

"Yeah! You sack of shit! I can't believe you want to help the other side! You're a traitor!" The penguin continued.

Nade stood quiet, leaning against the wall of his castle, where I had asked for us all to meet so I could tell them the news.

"And I can't believe you won't support my decision! If you were actually my friends, you'd be ok with this!" I yelled, pointing in Tony's face.

He laughed sarcastically.

"You think that we're actually your friends! Ha! You really are pathetic! We were never friends! We simply followed the same god you idiot!"

"..."

"You were always the soft one! The traitor that Dianite took pity on! If you're not with us, well, then you're against us!" Tony yelled, drawing his sword.

"And you know what happens to the people who are against us..." Josh said, also drawing his bow.

For the first time in a while, I was scared that they'd actually flip on me...

Jordan's POV:

Can't...

Resist...

The eyes!....

He stared at me, his cute purple eyes staring into my soul. He didn't know it, but he was slowly killing me inside.

"Buddy...you can't go...this is too dangerous...you could die...and I don't want that...." I said sadly to the tiny black and purple dragon sitting before me.

His head cocked to the side, and his tongue hung out limply.

I sighed.

There's no way I can bring him along. He'll probably die! But what if we don't come home...he'll be here all by himself...

He came closer, and jumped up onto my chest with his two front feet. He licked my face once, before sitting back down.

Goddammit Wilson...

I sighed again.

"Fine...but you need to be really careful! No dying! And do exactly as I tell you!" I sighed.

He smiled, and flapped his wings excitedly.

I can't believe I'm doing this...

Skippers POV:

It be a gloomy day...

No one knows whether we be returning from this venture...

It scares us all...

But for me sister...

I must persevere...

And rescue our lady...

It was her dream after all...

To serve lady Ianite...

I will make sure yer sacrifice wasn't in vain sister...

Even if I die tryin...

Toms POV:

The sword came down over my head quicker than I could register it. If it wasn't for Tony's shit coordination, I would've died then and there.

I jumped back in shock, and drew my own sword, holding it in front of me protectively. I almost tripped over myself, but I held steady and ready to bolt if it got out of hand.

"Look at him! Cowering in fear like the scared, pathetic piece of shit he is!" Josh mocked, aiming an arrow straight for my forehead.

I glanced over at Nade briefly; his head was still turned down, and he hadn't moved or reacted.

"Guys please don't make this worse! Let's just calm down-"

"NO! YOU BETRAYED US! YOU BETRAYED DIANITE!" Josh yelled, before releasing the arrow he had nocked.

The arrow flew through the air, and I quickly brought my sword up to block it, which sent it flying onto the ground limply. Josh drank a speed potion, before rapidly firing calculated arrows at me. His aim was a little better. He pinned my shirt to the wall with arrows, and tony approached me with his sword. I thrashed around desperately, trying to get free, but damn those were some strong arrows!

He brought the sword up to my neck, and I gulped, drawing a bit of blood. He grinned maliciously, and I saw a flash of grey behind him. He gasped in shock as the grey flash flung him to the ground. Wind rushed past my face as the arrows were pulled out one by one, and set me free. The grey blur stopped moving, revealing Nade. He grabbed my shoulders, and shoved me towards the exit, without saying anything, and I knew what he meant.

I ran for my life, and didn't look back...

Sonja's POV:

I sobbed uncontrollably, and my entire body was shaking. I hadn't been this upset since tucker got killed in front of me. I felt warm arms wrap themselves around me, and I felt calmer. I sobbed into his shirt, and he stood there patiently.

Finally, I had calmed down, and I looked up at him.

"As long as you're careful. I'm happy for you to come." He said, making me smile.

"T-Thankyou..." I sniffled.

We hugged for what seemed like the longest time, before we started to pack for the trip...

Jordan's POV:

Wilson and I were ready to go. We had our weapons, armour, food for the journey, and extra supplies we might need. The door was standing like an invitation into the unknown, and I took it, letting Wilson out first. He padded outside, bathing in the sunlight and all while wearing a stupid grin on his face.

I looked up at the sky, and back down to earth, taking in my home. I gazed at the landscape around it, and smiled, reminiscing all the great times we had here.

The fireball that landed right next to me, and that blew up my pathway, leaving a huge crater in the ground however, shocked me awake. I glanced wildly around, looking for the source. I finally found it, and I gulped.

Dianite was floating above me, fireballs in his hands, and a look of hatred and anger plastered on his face...

Tucker's POV:

The loud explosions going on outside drew our attention. We raced to our door, and opened it to see a huge crater sitting in front of our house.

I leapt across it, Sonja close behind, and noticed a raven-haired man, and his dragon, running away from a floating angry demon along the beach. Faces met names in my head, and I swore under my breath, before running to help Jordan. When we got to the beach, Jordan was backed up against the cliff side, Dianite ready to kill him on the spot.

"Shit!" I said jumping down onto the beach.

The fireballs grew bigger and bigger, and I reached out to grab sparklez, but I could tell I wouldn't be fast enough. I heard the sound of shattering glass behind me, and then everything stopped.

I'm serious. Everything in the world stopped. I was the only one still moving. The fireball was right in front of Jordan's face, but it was just staying there. I turned around, and saw shattered glass at my feet, and lavender liquid dripping from the glass. My wife was just behind me, her arm outstretched.

Suddenly it clicked, and I knew I didn't have much time. I ran up to sparklez, and pushed him out of the way of the fireball, and then everything went back to normal. The fireball hit the cliff with a loud bang, and debris scattered everywhere, stirring up dust clouds that blocked my vision. I saw sparklez, on the ground below me, looking very confused, and grabbed his shoulder.

"Cmon! Let's go!" I yelled to him, to which he nodded and got to his feet.

We ran through the dust cloud, emerging on the other side. We kept running along the beach, straight towards the ship docked close to the coast. Skippers head leaned over the side, and he went a ghostly white. I didn't want to look behind me, for fear that I'd see him, but Jordan didn't have any problems with turning, and screaming, before bolting past me.

A piece of TNT landed to my left, and I ran harder and faster to avoid the explosion. I barely escaped the impact, and stumbled forwards, before catching myself. I reached the boat, and jumped onto the rope ladder hanging off the side. I climbed faster than I'd ever climbed before, and collapsed onto the deck, panting. Sonja got on not long after, and I looked up, seeing Dianite a few hundred metres away.

Hearing screaming not far away, I looked to the pathway past the shoreline to see Tom bolting towards the boat. Blood was dripping down his chin, and I stood, concerned. He enderpearled onto the ship, appearing right beside me, and fell to his knees.

"GO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GO!!!" He yelled up at skipper.

Skipper nodded, and ran to the wheel. Earl wasn't able to come with us. He kicked the boat into gear, and everyone fell back onto the deck as the boat turned sharply. I fell onto the side rails of the boat, and hung on for dear life. It felt like the ship was practically sideways at this point.

The boat turned back to its original position, and started sailing towards the big portal in the rocky archway. I could see twisted guy making some last minute adjustments to the portal, and yelled out to him. He looked up, and nodded, jumping up and kicking the portal with his foot. Suddenly it sprung into life, and a swirling mass of black formed within the obsidian frame.

A gasp from Sonja behind me, brought my attention back to Dianite, who was building a ginormous ball of TNT right next to the Mianite temple. I gasped in shock, as he smiled, and lit it up with a fireball. I grabbed Sonja, and held onto the rails with my other hand.

The impact of the blast sent TNT scattering all over the island. Sparklez house. The temple. Our house. Toms house. My old house. Toms old house. The scales of justice. Jerry's tree. The salt shaker lighthouse.

About a hundred fell into the ocean behind our ship, and when they exploded, it sent the boat rocketing straight through the portal, leaving our home behind, and twisted guy, as well as Nade, tony, Josh, Champwan, and dec. all of them. Gone...

Jordan's POV:

Our home. Our friends. All of them disappeared behind the portal. The portal closed after we went in, and left us in a pitch black void. Tiny white particles dotted the sky, but were too far away to reach. I looked around for Wilson, and panic flooded me when I couldn't see him. A tiny roar made my head turn to face the void once more. He flew happily around the empty void, and I remembered this was the end. This was his home. I looked over the edge of the ship, and almost fainted when I saw nothing but blackness below. We were flying, that much I knew, thanks to twisted guy and his engineering skills.

I heard a few groans from behind me, and shuffled around to see everyone getting up.

"Where the fuck are we?" Asked Tom.

"Is everyone ok?" Asked Sonja.

"Where did the portal go?" Asked tucker.

"My friends. It be me great honour to present to you, the temple, of Ianite." Skipper said from the wheel.

I followed his gaze, and my mouth dropped.

Before us laid a floating island, with an entire landscape on it. Lush green grass, beautiful autumn leaf trees, and a giant purple and grey temple smack in the middle of it all. No one said anything; we were all just taking in the beauty of it.

As we flew closer, I picked out the little details, like the absence of wind preventing the trees from swaying gently, or the tiny pathway of rocks leading through a huge archway. A few houses were dotted along the way, small huts with spruce roofs and cobblestone exteriors.

Finally we came to a stop beside the edge of the island. I jumped off the boat, onto solid ground. It felt weird, and I took a moment to regain myself, as the others joined me. The air smelt fresh, as if this place had been kept preserved for years, but still held its natural beauty. After thinking about it more, I realised this was probably the case.

Skipper landed in front of us, and looked around.

"Home never smelt so good." He sighed.

"Anyway, let us be on our way! There should be someone up ahead who could assist us." He said, walking towards the giant archway.

We followed the path, looking around as we did so. The place looked deserted, but as we approached the temple entrance, we saw a man guarding the entrance. The giant steel gate blocked us from getting any further.

"Oh good heavens! People! I'm not alone after all!" He cried upon seeing us.

He was a short skinny man with orange hair, and a beard. He wore green overalls over a white long sleeved shirt, and black pants. His shoes were also green, which made him look like a leprechaun.

"Lord Brokkr! Tis a pleasure to see ye again!" Skipper said.

"Skipper! Welcome back old chum!" Brokkr said embracing the pirate.

Lord Brokkr stepped back, and looked the rest of us up and down.

"And who might you be?" He asked us.

"I'm Jordan! This green guy is Tom, the fox is Sonja, and the other guy is tucker." I said pointing to everyone.

"Hey! Why am I the other guy?!" Tucker protested.

I didn't respond, I simply smiled.

"Nice to meet your acquaintance!" He said shaking each of our hands.

"Brokkr, if you don't mind, it be quite urgent that we get in that there temple." Skipper piped in.

"Oh...well...you see...to open the gate you need to insert 5 keys...which should be kept in the houses you passed on the way here?" Brokkr said sheepishly.

"Why didn't you have them on you?!" Tom exclaimed.

"I've been here for years! I have no pockets in the one pair of clothes I have! And I didn't really feel like carrying around 5 separate keys everywhere!" He protested.

"How did you even get here?" Sonja questioned him.

"Well, I'm the official guard of ianites temple! It is my sworn duty to protect it and never leave its side! So I sort of, got taken from aethoria with the rest of it..." he laughed.

"And I've lived on the water of the well, and the berries that grow nearby are my only source of food." He continued.

"Explains why he looks like a weeb." Tom whispered in my ear.

"What?" Brokkr asked.

"Nothing!" Tom quickly said.

I sighed.

"Are we going to look for these keys or not?!" I said impatiently.

Everyone nodded, and we split up to look for the keys.

I went to the house nearest to our ship. The door was locked from the inside, but I needed to get in no matter what. Stepping back a few steps, I braced myself, before ramming into the door. It opened easily, and I tripped over the rug on the other side, landing flat on my face.

I spat out some dust, and stood, dusting off my coat. I took some time to look around, and take in the houses interior. The walls were stone brick, and the floor was spruce planks. Compared to the houses in ianarea, these were much more tidy and neat. Furniture was intact, bookshelves were full, and picture frames were still on walls.

A tiny shine from a picture frame on the right wall caught my attention, and I waltzed up to the small key hidden in a slot within the photo. It was a picture of a warrior holding a sword up to the light, but instead of a sword, the key was slotted in its place. I gently removed it from its place, and pocketed it. The picture seemed like it was missing something now. I didn't want to snoop around people's homes. Especially when they aren't here to defend it. I walked out of the house, shutting the door behind me; an old habit, and walked back to the gate.

The others were waiting there for me. They had their keys in hand.

"Took ya long enough." Tucker said upon my arrival.

"Shut up."

Brokkr gestured to a panel on the gate, with five keyholes. The others all walked up and slotted their keys in the holes, turning them. I went last. I put my key into the hole, and turned it, hearing a satisfying click. The gate rumbled, and started to shake. We all stepped back, as the gate rose into the arch, and stopped with a loud metallic bang.

"After you!" Brokkr said.

We walked inside the gate, but Brokkr remained outside.

"I-I think I'll just wait here." He said sheepishly.

I shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it.

We made our way up a few fleets of winding stairs, until we reached a courtyard. I wasn't expecting to see Dianite leaning against a column when I got up there.

"I must commend you. You don't give up easily. However, it's hopeless. You don't stand a chance so why try?" He said.

His eyes fell on Tom, and he snarled.

"And to think I gave a second chance..." he glared.

I heard Tom gulp beside me.

Dianite sighed.

"Let's just get this over with shall we?" He said standing, and forming fireballs in his hands.

We drew our weapons, and I ate an enchanted golden apple, fear sinking in.

"Come at me." He smiled evilly.

Tucker was the first to charge at him, sword drawn. Dianite flung a fireball his way, and sent him flying into a quartz column. Sonja ran over to tucker, but Dianite raised his hand, and made her float above the ground. She brought her hands to her neck as he formed a fist, and started to cough and splutter.

"SONJA!!!" I yelled.

I put my sword into my mouth, and held it there while I climbed up the nearest column. I heard the sound of another fireball coming my way, but when I turned skipper was there, blocking it.

"GO!!!" He shouted up at me.

I nodded and continued to climb higher, until I reached the top. With one big push, I sprung off of the column, and rammed into Dianite, releasing his hold on Sonja, and sending us both crashing to the floor. I ended up on top of Dianite, and I held my sword to his neck, pinning him down.

He smiled, and disappeared with a teleporting sound. I stared at where he was in shock, before I felt an explosion hit me in the back, and I was sent flying into the ground on the other side of the courtyard. I groaned in pain, and sat up slowly. I brought my sword up just in time to deflect another fireball into the roof, which sent debris tumbling down on top of me. I rolled out of the way quickly, and barely escaped being crushed.

I looked at Dianite, who was fighting skipper. Sword vs fireball.

"THIS IS WHAT YE GET FOR KILLING ME SISTER!!!" Skipper shouted, before plunging the sword into Dianites side.

He groaned in pain, and yanked the sword out, before throwing it to the side. His wound closed over, and skipper went pale. Dianite punched him square in the gut, sending him flying.
