《Mianite Season 1》Proposal

Tucker's POV:
The amount of nerves coursing through me at the moment was making me shake. I looked at everything we had set up, and wondered if it was enough? Was it too simple? Would she like it? She'd probably hate it...
I probably looked like the most paranoid person in the world, cause Tom came to my side and put a reassuring hand on my left shoulder.
"She'll love it." He said, as if knowing my insecurities.
"Thanks... I.... just want this to be perfect... she's the most perfect girl in the world.... I.... I need to make this special for her..."
"I get how you feel..." Tom murmured.
I looked up at him with a questioning look on my face.
"No you don't! You've never been in a relationship! Let alone know anything about them!" I exclaimed.
"What? I didn't mean it that way!" He protested back.
"Well then what did you mean?!"
"I worked my ass off to get this set up! She better like it! I want this to be perfect too so that A, Sonja won't hate me, and B, so all of my hard work wasn't for nothing!" He shouted.
I laughed. I had been a bit hard on him...
"Tom! The flowers need to be in bunches of Five! Not six!"
"Tom! The banner is diagonal!"
"Tom!!! I asked for the birch chairs! Not oak!!"
"Tucker..."
"TUCKER!!!" Tom shouted, breaking me out of my trance.
"What?! What's going on?!" I said looking around wildly.
"What's going on, is your girlfriend coming up the stairs!!!" He exclaimed pointing to a frustrated looking Sonja walking up my acacia stairs.
I screamed.
"I'm not ready for this!" I said horrified.
"Yes you are! Now go!" Tom said shaking me.
"Ok ok!" I said walking inside, nervous as all hell.
I went to my red stone elevator, and pressed the up button, waiting until I got to my top floor, then walked out, just in time to my girlfriend walking in.
"Hey sonj!" I waved.
"Hey..." she mumbled back.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Sparklez blew up the farm twice..." she groaned jumping onto the couch and putting her bag down.
"Damn" I said sitting beside her.
"Yeah... Tom already gone? I see you've done your elevator." She said gazing towards the elevator.
"Yeah! It's pretty cool!" I said.
The truth was, so that Sonja wouldn't suspect anything, I asked wag if he could finish it while Tom helped set up outside. I offered him diamonds, but he did it for free.
"Can I try it?" She asked standing up.
"Yeah sure!" I said walking over.
"So you just go inside, then press the up button, or the down button." I explained.
"Can you do it first? I wanna make sure I don't mess it up." She said anxiously.
"Yeah sure." I said stepping into the elevator chamber.
I pressed the down button, and hurried to my place outside, breathing heavily out of nervousness, and preparing myself for what was coming.
Sonja's POV:
It looked easy enough. I stepped into the elevator, and pressed the down button. It happened in an instant, and I found myself outside.
Damn that's a fast elevator!
I emerged onto the grass behind Tucker's house, and found a small note at my feet, with a little fox symbol on it.
I picked it up and read it, thinking it was a scavenger hunt like what tucker would do for me sometimes.

Sonja,
I've set up a little game for you to find me, but it should be easy for you! I want to take you on a trip down memory lane, so you can experience all of our memories together that I did putting this game together. Have fun! Your first clue:
Where everything began, and where I first found my love for you.
Tucker wasn't normally the cheesy type, so something was definitely up.
I started walking to the beach, where we first emerged from the nether portal, and I found another letter, and a small orange ribbon. I smiled and put the ribbon in my hair, pulling back my hood. I picked up the note, and noticed the small fox symbol was going to be on every note.
A lonely tree under an open sky, where a star so bright can be seen. Where we lay together and talk every time something big happens, so we can figure out what to do together.
Tucker wasn't making these very hard, so I wondered if there was something big coming up.
I walked to the lone tree near the North Star; our favourite spot to sit and relax, and found another note in the branches.
Where I thought I lost you, but where you showed me I didn't have to worry, because you were the bravest girl I'd ever seen, and you persevered through all challenges, never giving up. I love that about you.
I found myself starting to tear up, and wiped the tears with my hoodie.
I got to the desert where I was held hostage for a battle between the two sides. I found toms old sled, and another note.
Where we parted for a few days, and I felt lost without you. I missed you every day, and when you were there when I got back, waiting for me, I was reminded of how much I truly appreciated you, and what we have together, because it really is amazing.
I smiled at his cheesy note, and started walking to the cove, where tucker left to find Tom. I missed him a lot over those few days...
I found yet another note, and read it.
Where my life was on the line, and you defied all odds stacked against you, to save me, and the visitors from the seas. I was helpless, but you saved me, with your witty nature, and quick thinking. I wouldn't be here without you, and for that, I can't find words to thank you, or to show you how much it means to me, to have a girlfriend like you in my life.
I pocketed the note, and started walking to the alter by Dianites statue, and found another note beside the hopper.
Now that you've seen all the things we've been through together, please turn around, and come see me, so I can tell you something I've been wanting to say ever since I laid eyes on you.
I turned around, hearing a twig snap, and saw Jordan, Tom, and wag standing there.
"Ummmm hi?"
"Hey, mind coming with us?" Jordan asked extending a hand to me.
"Umm sure? Are you guys doing a scavenger hunt too?" I asked taking his hand.
They all laughed slightly. Tom put a hand on Jordan's shoulder, and wag put one on Jordan's. Jordan held an ender pearl in his other hand, and he passed it to wag, who threw it towards Tucker's house.
A few seconds later I found myself back where I started the scavenger hunt. The boys started walking back behind the mountain, and I followed. I walked past the mountain, and along the ridges, until I saw a flash of light in the growing dusk. I followed it, hoping to find the source. I eventually found it, and when I did, I was overwhelmed with many emotions.

Tucker stood there, surrounded by the others and the pirates, smiling at my arrival. There was a birch table in the centre of the clearing, and orange and red balloons were attached to birch posts. There were orange roses in bunches on the table, and colourful flowered bushes made an elegant circle around the clearing. There was a beautiful view of the ocean, and the sunset made the water shimmer with a golden glow. Tucker had his hat off, and was wearing something nice for once. A black suit, with a white shirt underneath, and no tie. He had his hair combed to the side nicely, which made me very suspicious, seeing as he NEVER dressed up this fancy, EVER.
"Tucker? What's going on?" I asked, to which Tom sniggered, making me feel oblivious, to something blatantly obvious.
He walked in front of me, and took my hands in his.
"Sonja, I've been wanting to tell you this for a very long time, but I've never been able to find the words to say it. With the help of the ones behind me right now, I was able to make all of this happen, and find the words to say to you."
I was very confused, but felt like I should know what was going on.
"Sonja, ever since I met you, you've brought some colour into my life. You are the kindest, most compassionate, and loving person I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know. You accept me for who I am, the goofy, obnoxious, and infuriating man who dresses like a Pokémon trainer from a well known Japanese anime. And not many people do. Every day I spend with you, makes me appreciate you even more, and I can never find the words to express these emotions to you. The fact that you tolerate me every day, and make me feel like the luckiest guy in the world, makes me wonder if all this is a dream, and when you smile, it makes my whole world light up with a feeling that the English dictionary only describes as love. I know however, that one word alone is not enough to express my feelings for you. You've saved my life more times than I can physically count, and make my days, no matter how horrible, my best ones. There's never a sad or angry thought going through my head or heart whenever you're near me. Other people take weeks, even months to make this decision, but for me, it was only a day, and I've never been more sure about something in my life than this moment. So, Sonja Reid, my Firefox, will you make me the happiest man in the world."
He knelt down on one knee, and grabbed a box out of his pocket, making me tear up, and gasp, covering my mouth with both hands.
"Will you marry me?"
He opened the box, and revealed a sparkling gold ring, with an orange topaz embedded in the top.
My heart was beating at the speed of light, and I cried happy tears.
"Yes! YES!" I cried out, hugging him and knocking both of us to the ground.
We both laughed happily and hugged on the ground, my head resting in the crook of his neck, as he rubbed my back gently.
The others cheered, and I laughed happily as tucker lifted me to my feet, and placed the ring on my finger. I admired it with awe; I could tell it was handmade. Tucker had been mining non stop for the past few days.
"Oh, and by the way. We're using your last name. Not mine." Tucker laughed.
Everyone burst out laughing, seeing as Tucker's last name was boner.
"Agreed." I laughed.
"Imagine that! Excuse me I have a package for a mr and Mrs boner." Tom mockingly laughed.
Tucker went a bit red, and I kissed him on the cheek, but it only seemed to make him redder.
"Well, I invited you all here not only to watch me win the bet that you all placed on me, so cough up a diamond each, but also to have dinner here!" Tucker exclaimed.
I watched as Jordan, wag, Nade, the modesteps, and Tom all gave tucker a diamond each, and sluggishly walked back to the table. Tucker and I joined them, and sat at the table. Tucker picked up an orange rose from the table, that was already dethorned, and placed it in my hair, brushing it back behind my ear with his fingers, and making me blush.
That night we all ate dinner at the table, and I heard about everything that everyone did to help. Like how wag did the red stone elevator for tucker so I wouldn't suspect anything. And how Tom set up everything outside, and how Jordan distracted me at the farm.
"Really?! I got so pissed!" I said punching him in the shoulder.
"Ok the first time was me, but the second time was a complete accident!" He protested rubbing his arm.
"Suuurrreeee" I said.
I learned that the pirates got the roses, from a far away island, because that was the only place they grew. I learned that dec and Champwan, as well as Nade and the modesteps, excavated the area by the cliff, and levelled it. Apparently it was once just a rocky mountain slope, and they made it green again.
"Excuse me everyone!" Tucker said standing up and raising his glass.
Everything went silent and all heads turned in his direction.
"I would like to thank everyone for coming, and for helping make all this possible. I would also like to make a special mention to a few individuals, who worked hard to make this all happen. Firstly, to the modesteps, Nade, dec, and Champwan, thankyou for making the area we are in now. The amount of work I witnessed that was done in only a few days, was phenomenal, so thank you. To Jordan, who spent his entire day, straight after coming out of hospital, to blow up the community farm twice, and fix it twice. To waglington, who made my red stone elevator. To the pirates, for finding these beautiful orange roses on an unknown island, and venturing out in open seas for days. To Tom, for dealing with my constant nagging for him to set this up. And finally, to my now fiancé Sonja, thank you, for saying yes, and for being the love of my life."
I blushed, and everyone clapped as tucker sat down. It made me so happy to see everyone laughing and talking, not having to worry about anything bad going on in the world, just like it used to be.
"You didn't have to say that..." I blushed.
"Yes I did." He said.
He cupped my face with his hands, and kissed me, making me go even redder, and I kissed him back. This was the happiest day of my life.

Seeker
The Gods are dead As they bled dry, so did the magic which gave them birth. In the new era of technology, its pathetic remnants must hide in the shadows or be locked away. In the ancient era of magic two beings often stood out: Galileo, an immortal scholar obsessed with knowledge and Angelica, the most loyal servant of the greatest among the now dead Gods. But why are they worthy of mention? Because after millennia of isolation, the two emerge in the new world beyond their reckoning. The entire story is told from the third person, however, each chapter will be told from the perspective of only one of the characters. This will be signified by the first letter of their names after the chapter number to avoid confusion. I submitted this fiction as a [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] as well as a participant in National Novel Writing Month. The original challenge had been to finish this entire faction within the month of November reaching the 55.5k word minimum. This goal had been achieved. I do not own the cover picture
