《Mianite Season 1》The battle of the ages

Sonja's POV:
I was struggling to untie the ropes around my wrists, I had to go and help the others. I finally loosened them, and untied my ankles as well. I gathered my stuff from toms chest, and started to walk to where my boyfriend was standing. I was behind the Dianitees now, and the one called Nadeshot turned and looked at me. I was caught.
He quickly advanced towards me, and grabbed my right wrist, which was holding my sword. He pulled me to him, and turned me around forcefully. Twisting my wrist behind my back, he made me drop my sword, and swept his leg at my knees, buckling them. He did this all in the span of three seconds, the frickin ninja.
I was now kneeling on the sand, arms pinned behind me, and my own sword held against my neck. Nade turned me to face the others, and I watched as Tucker's face turned from anger to fear.
"Nobody move! Or else the fox dies!" He yelled at the mianitees.
"Woah nade, nice!" Said Tom, noticing what he had done.
"No blood has to be spilt here today brother!" Said mianite.
"Oh I agree, so let us go in peace." He said, nodding at Nadeshot, causing him to dig his sword deeper.
I felt a drop of blood trickle down my neck, and a sharp pain as the blade cut through the smallest bit.
Immediately tucker backed off, causing the others to do the same.
"Alright, now drop your weapons and kick them away." Tom ordered.
They all dropped their swords and kicked them in different directions. We were definitely going to lose this fight, all because of my captured sorry ass.
Dianite ordered the others to kneel down and put their hands up, while I thought of a way to get away. Tom and the modesteps walked to them with rope in their hands, and started to tie their wrists. I noticed that Nadeshot wasn't applying as much pressure as he was before, and I still had my dagger in my pocket. I used my free hand and slowly started to retrieve my dagger.
Dagger in hand, I waited until nade was looking away, and I stabbed the hand holding the sword to my neck.

He howled in pain and dropped the sword, clutching his hand as crimson liquid stained the sand and dripped onto his feet. I grabbed my sword and pulled away from nades grasp.
I jumped to my feet and held my sword ready, as he looked at me angrily, and unsheathed his own sword, gritting his teeth through the pain....
Tucker's POV:
Sonja was free, and Tom was looking at the scene, so I took my chance. I pulled my hands down fast, that were attached to the rope Tom was holding, and shot my head up, pulling Tom into a headbutt, to which he recoiled in pain.
Jordan and the others were already free, and were running to get their discarded weapons. I stood and faced Tom, anger flaring in my eyes. He wiped his nose, leaving a red stain on his black suit.
Grabbing his sword, he faced me and smiled menacingly.
"Good hit......"
Jordan's POV:
I ran away from Josh, towards the bow I had kicked away. It lay in a pile of sand, 10 metres away from me. I was so close, and then my face met sand, as I was tripped up by my pursuer. I reached for my bow, my fingertips brushing past the string. I stand up on one leg, as josh pulls my other one, and jump forward. I close my eyes and reach, and when my fingers curl around wood, I smile.
I whip around and arrow pulled back, shoot in his direction. He ducked in fear, but the arrow tip caught on the collar of his shirt, mere millimeters away from his neck, and the sheer momentum yanks him backwards. He lands in the sand, and I nock another arrow. He puts his hands up and puts his head down.
"Fine dude fine I surrender alright?!" He says hastily.
"Good, cause I could've aimed for the heart, but I didn't." I lied; I had no idea where that arrow was going.
Nadeshots POV:
That bitch! My hand hurt like hell, and that girl was gonna pay for it, with her life... I look her in the eyes.
"Ouch...."
"Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you! You were only threatening my life!" She said sarcastically.
I advanced quickly, and my speed caught her off guard, she quickly moved to block my sword, and I changed my trajectory last second, slicing her side, to which she yelped and clutched her side. Our swords clashed, and I was moving quicker than she was, her sword only barely moving in time to intercept my slashes.

I could tell that she hadn't had much experience with a sword. Unfortunately for her, I had tons of it. She slashed at me, and I kneeled and slid under the sword. I came up right in front of her, too close to hit, and tripped her up. She tried to get back up, but I held my sword against her neck, stopping her.
"Hmm, this seems a bit familiar, don't you think?" I asked her sarcastically.
"Yeah, but you forgot something."
"And what would that be?" I said, leaning in close to her face.
She smiled at me.
"Mobs..."
I turned around in horror as I heard the hiss.
"Oh shi-"
I felt the impact of the blast against my chest, and felt immediate pain, I opened my eyes to see that I had flown over Sonja's head, and landed on the other side.
Sonja towered over me, sword at my neck, and smiled.
"Now you know how it feels..."
Toms POV:
It felt like we had been exchanging sword hits for hours, and I was starting to get tired. My swipes became slower, and less coordinated, but thankfully, so were Tuckers. I jumped back as he swung sideways, and returned with an overhead blow, which he deflected with ease. He pushed up with his sword, pushing me away, and looked at me. Sweat was rolling down his forehead, and his shirt was ripped in some places. I imagined I looked the same.
"Haha.....you're pretty good......for a Dianite....." He said between pants.
"Yeah....you're not so bad.....yourself....." I said.
"Dude...what are we doing?.....we're friends....we shouldn't be fighting....come on Tom....just join mianite....pick the right side...."
"Haha.....I already have...."
I swung at him, but instead of blocking, he grabbed my wrist.
"Dude I'm serious....one of us could die....I don't want that...." He said looking down.
I could tell he really didn't want to fight, I didn't either, but I had to stay loyal to my god.
"Dude, if I turn on Dianite, I'm screwed."
"Mianite will protect you! Please Tom...." he said sadly.
"I'm sorry, but I can't turn my back on a god...."
I tried to pull out of his grasp, but he was too strong. He pulled me to the floor and stepped on my hand, causing me to drop my sword. He kicked it away, and quickly pinned me down, and tied my wrists together with rope.
"I'm sorry Tom........."
Mianites POV:
"Brother, you are defeated, your men are helpless, and you are as well."
"Haha, that is where you are wrong, I'm not helpless."
"How so? Look around you Dianite, my heroes have yours pinned against a wall, and here you lie at my feet, nothing left."
"Wrong again, I do have something. A wild card...."
"Oh? And what is this wildcards name?"
"Haha well, she goes by the name of Ianite...."
I stood frozen. My sister....
"What?!"
"I have her captured in my fortress, and have removed her heart, the very source of her power and being. If you don't let me and my followers leave peacefully, I won't hesitate to harm her...."
"Your own sister?! You really are a monster!!!"
"That I am, but a smart one...."
"..........Fine.......but if I see you harming this land or its inhabitants, you can expect hell to rain down on you..."
"Brother........I'm the king of hell...."
With that he teleported away, taking his followers with him, and leaving me and my followers frozen....
Jordan's POV:
Josh teleported away suddenly, and I looked up to see that the other dianitees had as well.
"Mianite!!! You had him!!! Why didn't you attack?!!!" Yelled tucker.
"Is something troubling you my lord?" Asked Declan.
"I apologise....but I could not strike him.....he has my sister Ianite.....this changes everything..." he said gravely.
Something clicked, and I felt a strong feeling blossom inside of me. As soon as he said that word, the name of his sister, I instantly felt something. I couldn't explain it.
Suddenly I knew what the feeling was, and I knew why I was feeling it.
I had just heard the name of my god......

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).

Magikind [Original]
The third millennia, a time of change and evolution. An era, where people, through countless generations, have evolved strange powers and abilities. Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some refused to change or adapt. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin, will herald a new era for all Magikind. A story of how man could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. Disclaimer: Chapters will be edited once the first volume is done. Bear the beginning for the time being, and hopefully you can see my writing improving over time (I've learnt a lot on how to write because of this (though I'm still not perfect :P)) Proud Member of Writers to the End, WriTE The link to the pledged fictions PS. If you find the 'notes' too boring or too info-dumpy, feel free to skip them and just read the main chapters. They're there for the reader to understand Gin's world (written in the perspective of Gin). But later on, we can see some interactions between the main characters and the occasional references to his past in the notes, so it has its purpose.
