《Breaking Hermione》Dangerous Moves

I knew what I was doing was dangerous. Tom and Xavier had pretty much crashed out, something I had waited for, and the only reason I had agreed to sit with them and get "stoned" in the first place. Now was the time to take advantage of this moment. This was the perfect opportunity to cast the spell on Tom. I didn't come to the past for no reason. Now was the time to act. While Tom was momentarily unconscious I would say the spell.
I reached into my pocket and brought out the piece of parchment and quickly began to read out loud. I grabbed my wand and held it out before me, aiming it directly at Tom's sleeping face.
"Perniciosius amor magicae
Potestate prohibere
Attenuati sunt tui effectus
Captivum solve dimittere
Endarkened lumen oculis eorum."
I read out loud. Tom twitched slightly, frowning in his sleep. It was working. I looked at Xavier, he was sleeping too. I read the parchment again. I had to say the English translation too.
"Destructive love magic
Withhold your power
Weaken your effects
Release your captive
Bring light to those endarkened eyes."
A bright shining red light illuminated my wand, billowing in the air like a memory, flying over to Tom and entering a place in his chest like a knife to his heart.
I stood as Tom gave a gasp, beginning to cough. I ran up the stairs quickly, watching the scene unfold below me from the safety of my hidden perch.
I saw Tom lean forward and clutch his chest, his eyes closed in pain. I saw his eyes open again, and from a distance I gasped. His eyes were glowing. I blinked, and they were their normal demonic black.
"Shit." I breathed.
Tom stood, looking around and almost seeing me frozen up the top of the stairs. I got up quickly, running in a panic to my room and shutting the door behind me.

What the hell had I done?
My heart was pounding. This was the first major accomplishment I had made to making leeway on this mission. This was it. With luck, this was the beginning of reversing the destructive effects of the love potion on Tom's life. Would he act different now?
I stood in quiet contemplation thinking about it. I had to go out there and see for myself if there was a difference. I slipped out the door and walked slowly back to the staircase.
"Tom?" I called.
Silence.
I walked over to the staircase leading up to the boys dormitory. Tom was probably in his room, right?
I just about reached his door when something dragged me back with force and threw me against a wall.
"What-"
It was as if invisible bonds had gripped me, pinning me in place. A short distance down the hall Tom was standing, staring at me with a furious look on his face.
"What the hell did you do to me?" He demanded. His tone was fury and ice and all at once. He walked over to me, the darkness in his eyes burning like fire. He reached out a hand and grabbed my neck.
"I- I didn't do anything." I gasped.
"Liar." He snarled. He released me at once, leaving me choking and gasping on the wall.
"I'm not lying!" Of course I was lying. I didn't want to be killed, I had to protect myself somehow.
"I feel... different. Someone has used a spell against me. I can feel it. I'll ask you again."
He approached me, his tall figure towering over me. He was standing so close I could see faint traces of light burning behind his dark eyes. "Did you place a spell on me, Hermione? Look at me."

I stared directly into his eyes.
"No, I haven't." I said with meaning. But I could see the evident skepticism in Tom's look.
"What spell was it? Answer me." Tom raised his wand and pointed it directly at my chest. Pain instantly hit me, I was about to scream but he slammed a hand against my mouth.
"Well?"
He dropped his wand, the pain stopping instantly.
"What the fuck." We both looked over to see Daniel Dolohov standing at the end of the Hall.
"Expelliarmus." He pointed his wand at Tom but wasn't quick enough. He was disarmed instantly by Tom's instant counter spell, doubling over on his side and becoming unconscious at once.
"Daniel!" I screamed.
"Do you fools ever learn?"
Tom raised a hand, the invisible bonds loosening- I came crashing down to the ground landing awkwardly on my wrist. I could hear someone screaming from a distance. I didn't realise it was me until Tom crouched down beside me. "Next time, check more thoroughly if the people around me are really asleep." He said in a low voice.
I looked up at him, my breathing ragged, the pain in my wrist was excruciating. So Xavier was only pretending to be asleep. God damn it.
Tom stood. "You will pay for this, Hermione."

Sexy Sect Babes
“One in a billion.” Jack kept repeating the mantra in his head. “One in a billion.” That was the number the Omni-Corps liked to cite whenever someone stepped onto one trans-mat pad and then simply… never stepped off the other. “Safer than a car,” he repeated as he slogged through the snow, his mining overalls doing at least a passable job of keeping out the cold as he brushed aside a tree branch. “Safer than a plane. Or a starship. Safest form of transport in the Star League.” He slammed his fist into a nearby tree, exo-empowered strength shattering it into little more than scattered bark and kindling. “Yeah, well I never heard of a car ride stranding some prick in another dimension!” He roared, his voice echoing through the seemingly endless forest around him. Then he kept marching. He’d seen the fire off in the distance. And given all the snow around, he sincerely doubted it was natural. Which left the unnatural. Which meant people. He hoped. Because even if the trans-mat had screwed up, he doubted it had dumped him too far off the central finite curve. The fact that the air was breathable and that he could recognize the trees around him as oak told him that much. And if the dimension he was in had trees native to Earth, chances are it would have animals too. Of which humans would hopefully be no exception. “Because I’ll be damned if I spend the rest of my days talking to goddamn squirrels.” No, if there were humans on this mudball, he was going to find them. One way or another.
