《Bad Boy Next Door》Chapter 34: Mood

For our last day here in LA. We went out to see some sights and take pictures. As we were walking I notice Chace, he seems like he was not enjoying.
"You okay?" I ask him. He nods and just took my hand to hold but wasn't looking at me.
I tried not to mind but I was just wasn't used to him acting that way. We were taking some pictures at a rooftop cafe but Chace doesn't seem to be near. "Where's Chace?" I ask Michael.
"I don't know" he looked around to see if he's near.
"He seems to be good at disappearing lately" I jokingly said. "I'll just look for him"
"Chace" I mistook a guy standing by the end of the stair. "Sorry!" I continued walking when I saw him talking to a short skirt blond-haired girl. She was touching his arms flirtatiously that made me so mad.
"Excuse me, I need to talk to my boyfriend." Taking her hands off of my man. And swiftly standing by his side. The girl just rolled her eyes at me before walking away, not long gone she fastly hid her skirt for the wind blew her skirt showing her thong underneath, laughing so hard. "Did you saw that?"
"You don't have to be so rude you know" he commented before yanking my arms away.
"I was not being rude, I was just letting that flirt know that I'm your girlfriend" I smally laugh not minding his moody aura.
"We were just talking you know" he spoke with irritation.
"I'm not saying that you were doing something, I'm saying that she was trying to flirt with you" I explained to him.
"Come on! I know you girls. Being jealous and all" now he was accusing me.

"Because I have the right to be jealous." I stated.
"Now the truth is coming out you were jealous of Angel" pointing to the direction the girl went.
"What?!" I was about to burst out "Wait a minute! What is this? Because I don't know what was actually arguing about here."
"You were making such a big deal about me talking to Angel" he angrily said.
"What?! I wasn't making such a big deal about the hell that girl's name was. You are!" I harshly pushed him.
"I'm done here!" He kicked the nearby trash can as he turned his back from me.
"Chace!" I shouted but he was ignoring me.
***
I was calling and calling him but he wasn't answering my calls nor my texts. It was already 1 am but he still hasn't come home yet.
"Where the hell is here?" I muttered to myself looking at the time.
The doorknob was turning, it was locked so I have to open it. I immediately opened the door and a drunk Chace was seen. He let out a sigh as he saw me like he was somehow annoyed but I brushed it off.
"You're drunk" I helped him stand steady.
"Obviously" he simply said. Closing the door and headed to the bedroom, I let him lay there and fetch some water and a towel. I was trying to wipe his arms with the towel but he took it and threw it at the side.
"Chace" Looking at the towel trying to not let my tears drop.
"Leave me alone!" He shouted.
"Ssshhh, you're just drunk" I picked up the towel and rinse it out, wiping his arms again.
"THE HELL!" Now he pushed me. "LEAVE!"
"I waited for you at this late hour, trying to care for your drunken ass and yet you are trying to keep on making me leave." I said angrily.

"Who told you to wait?" He was harshly bitter.
"Wow! Wow!" Wiping my tears off. "I don't know what you're going through but it's not fair to blame it on me. I did nothing wrong. I kept on asking you what it is but you're the one who keeps on refusing my help. You had been acting strangely this past 3 days but I just ignored it even though it was making me feel like a useless girlfriend." My fist turning to a ball.
"Are you done now?" He spoke like there was nothing in his voice not even regret.
"Chace?"
"I need to sleep." He turned to the other side of the bed and spoke nothing else.
"Then maybe in the morning, we can talk when you're already sane!" Shouted as I left the slamming the door closed.
**
I groan at the most uncomfortable position. I hadn't had enough sleep thinking.
"Morning!" Amy said "Why'd you sleep there? Was it because of all the shouting last night?"
"Maybe" yawning. I pour out coffee into two mugs, left the one on the dining table and the other one to the bedroom with water and Advil.
I entered the room but Chace wasn't there anymore. "Where is he?" I ask Amy.
"I don't know, I haven't seen him up yet." She shrugged. "Maybe he just went out for a run."
"Yeah, maybe you're right." I nodded. It had been an hour since I was wake yet Chace wasn't home yet.
Where is he?
I took my phone to speed dial but he wasn't answering his phone.
Is he still ignoring me?
Called him a couple of time now but still no answer. Calling him for the 30th time when he entered the room.
"I was about to report for a missing person." I said out in relief jokingly.
"Don't be so dramatic" he plainly said and went straight to the bedroom, followed him in."What is it now? Aren't you tired from blowing up my phone?" He annoyedly threw his phone then jacket onto the bed.
"What the fuck is wrong here Chace? I am already tired of this act." I slammed the door closed. He looked shocked but only for a second then back to his emotionless face. "WHAT IS IT?"
I waited for his replay. "WHAT?!"
"GODDAMNIT!" He punches the wall. That caused his fist to bleed.
**
The car ride home was silent between me and Chace. I don't want to ask again for I'm sure that it'll be turned to fights again.
"Bye!" I waved them goodbye "See ya in school!" Then they left. Before I could turn to say something to Chace he was already on his way to their house. "Nice!" I sarcastically said.

CW: Contains mildly graphic scenes of violence/death, topics of unwanted pregnancy/abortion, scientific experimentation on sapient beings, depression/suicide, grief, and trauma. On Hiatus Until September When the School Year Begins and Mom This story takes a considerable amount of time and mental energy to complete. I thought I had enough backlog and time to post it as a serial while COVID kept my child home from school, but it turns out while I can quickly write other pieces, I cannot produce the quality I need with this one at an acceptable rate. We'll resume in September when my days are much freer. Thank you for your patience and stay tuned for a different storytelling romp more suited for a serial platform in the meantime.
