I am holding in my arms Maximus (he's my cat). While I watched my Mom prepare the chicken for roasting.
"You seem happy?" I commented, looking at Mom whistling as she puts the chicken inside the oven.
"Well, it's been quite a while since we have guests for dinner" she answered "Please call your Dad for me and tell him to don't forget to buy me cherries, I'm making Cherrie Pie"
"My favorite" I made a toothy grin and put Maximus down to call Dad. After the 3rd ring, Dad picks up the call.
Hey Dad! Where are you? Mom said
don't forget her cherries.
I'm already on my way to the
groceries to buy the cherries.
Can you please grab me some
Cheetos on the way, Thanks, Dad! Love you!
Okay! I need to end this, I'm driving.
Okie Dokie! Bye, Dad!
I ended the call, putting the phone down on the kitchen island.
"What did your Dad say?" Mom asks, Mixing the salad together.
"He's on his way for the cherries" I forked some of the salad "hmmmmnnn, tasty!" giving out a moan.
"I know right?" She winks and continues to mix the salad.

Getting dressed is what I am doing. Mom wanted me to dress up to be more presentable rather than just wearing an oversized shirt and leggings. Maximus was stretched laying on my bed.
"What do you think?" I ask him. "Cute right? But is it a bit too much?" I look at my reflection on the mirror, scanning my dress. It's a white dress with blue flower paintings on the bottom part.
I'll wear this in case Lily's son is cute.
"Then maybe he's the one" I slightly squealed in the thought, I just tied my hair on a side braid so I may not seem to be trying too hard. Picking up Maximus from the bed, I went downstairs to the kitchen.
"Help me with the table please, Cassie" Mom said holding the plates, I arranged the table putting on the glasses and utensils and Dad carrying the food to the table. The doorbell rang as we have just finished preparing the table. "Cass, open the door please" Mom said giving the table some final touches and I do what I was told. I open the door smiling seeing Lily, Lucy and His Dad.

"Good Evening!" I said.
"Good Evening Cassie!" Lily has a cake on one hand and holding Lucy on the other "This is my husband Jerry" she introduced.
"Good Evening!" He said politely smiling.
"We brought Cake" Lucy happily announce, this kid being cute as always.
"Thank you!" I said to the little girl "Please do come in!" I ushered them inside the house.
I thought there's a son.
"Chace!" Lucy looking back at the door.
Chace?
I looked at another figure by the door, my eyes widen and my jaw-dropping as I saw my most hated person at my door.
He's the Son?! No way!
"Glad you decided to join us" his Dad said but he seems to ignore him texting on his phone.
Rude much?
"Oh this is my son, Chace" Lily introduces Chace to me. He only looks at me probably a second and went back to texting on his phone.
"Welcome to our humble home!" Mom said welcoming the guest "So happy that you agreed to have dinner with us"
"It was so nice for you to offer and thank you for the fruits." Lily said to my mom, everyone was on the getting to know your part and Chace seem to not care at all tho, only giving out one-word answers to questions he was asked.
"Kitchen is right this way." Father leads Wayne's to our Kitchen to the dining table. Lucy slips her hands on mine, such a sweetie.
"He really doesn't like being bothered when he is on his phone" she pointed out to her brother.
"I see." Tho I might have let it out with irritation.
We were all now eating our food. Lucy sitting next to me smiling enjoying eating her chicken but unlike his brother.
"The food is heavenly Tracy!" Mr. Wayne said as he took a bite of the chicken
"Well thank you, Jerry! I was thinking my cooking was bad, for you all aren't saying anything" mom jokingly said.

"It's perfect Honey!" Dad holding Mom's hand.
"I agree" Lily seconded.
"What can you say about the food Chace?" Mom tries to reach out to Chace to join in the conversation.
"It's good" he plainly said, offering a shallow grin.
"Jerk" I inaudibly said.
"Are you saying something Cassie?" Dad might have seen me opened my mouth, they all looked at me including Chace.
"No Dad, I was eating" I abashedly smile.
"Okay, thought you were saying something" he said, I shook my head then secondly looked at Chace.

Lucy and I are playing with Maximus at the living room while the adults are at the back yard probably talking about taxes and other adulting things.
"He is so cute, what's his name?" Lucy brushing Maximus's fur and the cat liking it so much.
"Maximus, his name is Maximus"
"Hello, Maximus! I'm Lucy" she pointed to herself.
"I wish I had a little sister like you" I said looking at her cuteness, she looked at me confused.
"Don't you have someone like Chace?" She asked, Chace and I looked at each other but I roll my eyes at him breaking the eye contact.
"I have a brother but he's way better than your brother" I answered, I heard Chace somehow make a disapproving sound.
"Really?" Little Lucy ask.
"Andrew is the perfect brother, he never plays with other people's feelings and dumps them like trash" I purposely wanted Chace to hear it.
"He is nice" Lucy giggled.
"He is" I smiled.
"Cathy right?" Chace asked me, maybe he finally sensed what I was pointing out.
"It's Cassie" Lucy was the one who corrected him then she came back playing with Maximus.
"Did we ever went out?" He was looking straight to my eyes, he was intimidating.
"God No!" I disgustedly said "But you went out with my 3 best friends and broke their hearts."
"So that's why with the hatred" he sneered.
"You as-" paused and remembered there's a kid around "You butthole, you made them fall for you and then left them when you suddenly got bored. They were my good friends and were probably good girlfriends but you dump them like some used tissues." I was panting from the speech.
"Are you done?" He asks with the sound of boredom in his voice. "Don't hate the player, hate the game." That's his only comment "Cathy, if you are jealous that your friends dated me. You could have asked me directly and I might take your offer into consideration." he smirks.
"First of all, It's Cassie" he rolls his eyes "I would never ever-"
"Is everything okay?"I was cut off by Lily with the rest entering the Living room.
"Cassie and Chace are fighting" Lucy answered.
"No! No!" I shook my head, fixing a smile "Chace and I are were just getting to know each other" Chace raising the corner of his lip, he's finding it amusing.
"Well, that's great honey" Mom commented.
"Thank you for the wonderful dinner, but the kids still need to be early for school tomorrow" Mr. Waynes said tugging Lucy on his said.
"Yes! Of course" Dad chuckling
"Thank You!" Lily said
"Always" Mom replied
"Goodbye!" They lastly said to each other, I waved goodbye to Lucy and saw Chace looking at me with a smirk on his face and I just roll my eyes at him in response.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore.
