《I Accidentally Summoned a Demon》Chapter 8: Confusing Feelings

Kat woke up with a headache and groaned, snuggling into the bed, refusing to open her eyes. Except the bed felt different; it was warmer, harder. Kat frowned, running her hands down the bed, feeling hard ridges. She slowly blinked her eyes open, seeing she was not on a bed, she was on a person, really full blown laying on a half-naked person. She jumped and tried to get off but Nex's hands grabbed her hips, holding her in place, straddling him.
"Stay, I liked where your hands were going," he said, smirking up at her. "Why are you so jumpy? You could've fallen off the bed and hurt your ass again."
"Let me go!" Kat squirmed, making Nex groan.
"Stop squirming, kitten, or I'm going to have to do something about it," he warned.
It was then Kat felt something hard between her legs, separated only by Nex's boxers and her flimsy pajamas. Her cheeks heated and she pried his hands off her, clambering off him.
"What happened?" Kat asked, afraid to know. She was so flustered by him last night, she took way too many shots, enough she didn't even remember coming to bed.
"Nothing," Nex said, sitting up, running his hand through his hair. "Give me some credit, I'm not going to fuck a drunk person. I'm a demon but I'm not completely evil."
"Well how did I end up..." Kat trailed off, biting her lip.
"Asleep on top of me?" Nex finished, seeming quite amused. "Well, I carried you to bed because you were too drunk to walk and when we got in bed, you asked me to kiss you on the neck again."
"I did not!" Kat said, hiding her face in her hands.
"Of the two of us I'm the only one that remembers what happened," Nex said, raising an eyebrow. "Don't be embarrassed, in any other circumstance I would've kissed more than your neck. By the way, I didn't know you could sing so well."
"Oh no," Kat groaned. "Karaoke?"
"Yes, a lot of karaoke," he smirked. "Why didn't you sing for your audition? If they heard your voice, the stuttering wouldn't have mattered."
"I'm not... I don't like singing in front of people unless it's in a group." Kat muttered. "You still haven't answered how I ended up on top of you."
"That's silly," Nex frowned. "You have an incredible voice. Anyway, then you wanted to try kissing my neck after I kissed yours so you climbed on top of me. It didn't last long. You passed out."
"Oh my God," Kat muttered, shaking her head.
"Relax, kitten," Nex said, pulling her hands away from her face. "I'm not complaining," he smirked. "Want to try again now that you're sober? I'll kiss more than your neck. I'll kiss you where that ache just keeps building," he said, brushing his hand against her inner thigh.
Kat froze up again, feeling the sensation from his fingers touching her thigh going right between her legs. Never before did she have such little self-control and it was terrifying.
"No!" Kat hissed, pulling away from him and climbing out of bed.
Kat pressed her fingers to her head as the headache grew with all the movement, heading to the living room. Frida was passed out on the couch so Kat returned to her room and grabbed clothes, temporarily letting go of her throbbing head to glare at Nex.

"I'm going to take a shower and you are not going to just appear in there," Kat said, gesturing to the bathroom.
"Very well," Nex said, swinging his legs off the bed. "I understand. Don't want to have your first time be in the shower."
"I hate you," Kat said, narrowing her eyes further before going into the bathroom.
The door was closed and she was alone but she heard his voice in her head: You don't hate me, kitten. You hate that you want me. Kat's eyes widened and she glanced around to make sure he wasn't actually in there. "What?" She muttered. Then she heard his voice again: Another trick I have. I have many tricks. Many very fun tricks. You'll see.
Kat rolled her eyes and took a fast shower, just in case. Trusting Nex to keep his word seemed unwise. She breathed a sigh of relief when she walked out fully dressed without him showing up. She walked out and was surprised to find him in the kitchen. Cooking. Kat stood there for a moment watching him make eggs until Frida caught her attention, waving her over to the kitchen table.
Kat walked over and sat down, reminding herself in Frida's eyes this was supposed to be normal. Nex didn't put on a shirt and Kat sighed in annoyance.
"Seriously, he's hot and he cooks for you? You won the lottery with this one," Frida whispered, nodding to Nex.
Kat opened her mouth to speak but Nex was suddenly next to her, setting down a smoothie. "A cure for your hangover, kitten. Don't worry, it has your yogurt in it," he said, placing a kiss on her head and leaving Frida pretending to swoon.
Frida mouthed 'oh my God' and made dreamy eyes at Nex while Kat glared at the smoothie, crossing her arms. Nex kept Frida much too entertained making small talks and jokes while he finished the eggs and got a plate for everyone. Kat angrily ate her eggs but Frida was too busy being distracted by Nex to notice.
Once they were finished, it was time for Frida to start heading to her next destination. They walked outside with her and Nex still didn't bother putting on a shirt which attracted attention from the neighbors, making Kat flush in embarrassment. She ignored him the best she could and gave Frida a long hug. Frida hugged Nex too and then she left, waving as she drove away.
One of the neighbors looked over curiously, a neighbor that went to her church, a neighbor who was looking at Nex only in his boxers very questioningly. Kat grabbed his arm and dragged him inside, slamming the door and turning to glare at him.
"Dude, what the heck? Put on a shirt for goodness sake, now my whole church is going to think you're living with me," Kat scowled, crossing her arms.
Nex laughed. He laughed very hard, wiping away non-existent tears. "Oh no, kitten, whatever will they do? Come and pray over you? I certainly hope there's enough power in their prayers to get your soul saved because living with a demon I'm sure is not earning you points with anyone upstairs," he said, pointing up. "Although your incredible lack of curse words might. 'What the heck?' Really? Are you that afraid of hell?"

"That's it," Kat said, shaking her head. "You're not staying with me anymore. You say you can make money so make money and go find somewhere else to live."
"I'm not going anywhere," Nex said, stepping closer to her. "You've trapped me in this awful realm and you are going to help me get out of it or I will keep doing this and so many other things to make your life hard. Cooperate with me and I'll cooperate with you, it's that simple," he shrugged.
"You have a physical form now," Kat pointed out. "I can just call the police and this time they'll be able to see you."
"With what phone?" Nex asked, tilting his head to the side.
Kat fumed, dropping her hands to her sides and balling her fists. "I don't need a phone. The police station isn't that far away," she said, turning and opening the front door.
The front door slammed shut and Nex grabbed her wrists, pinning them behind her back and pressing her front into the door. He leaned in close, pressing his body fully against hers, making her breath catch. Kat tried to pull out of his hold on her wrists but he held them tighter. A jolt of excitement went through her and she tried to remind herself that was a very bad thing.
"I don't think so, kitten," Nex purred, nuzzling into her hair until he found her ear. "Remember I can still disappear if I want. How bad would it look if they came here again and again you had nothing to show for it? I don't think that would go well at all."
"You've made your point," Kat breathed, trying to ignore the warmth going through her body at having him so close to her. "Let me go."
"Why? Because you like this too much?" He asked, tightening his hold on her wrists, nipping her ear.
"I have class," Kat said weakly.
Nex chuckled and nipped her ear again before releasing her, only stepping far enough back Kat could turn around but not without bumping into him. "What a convenient excuse, kitten."
Kat carefully moved away from him and hurriedly gathered her things before bolting out the door. She half-expected him to follow her but she kept looking behind her and didn't see him.
Focusing in class was difficult. There was an ache between her legs like she'd never experienced. Sure, a couple times some guys had caught her interest but she was always too shy to do anything about it. And while her church was different, sex was still a weird thing there and so she never really explored that part of herself although she'd be lying if she said she hadn't thought about it a lot. Nex was right when he said she'd never even felt her own touch. It was the first time she actually truly considered seeing what it felt like.
She pressed her thighs together and sighed, trying to shut out those thoughts. She was giving him way too much control and he was enjoying it way too much. She had to be stronger around him, not let him affect her. He was a demon, the fact that she was even having thoughts like that for a demon concerned her and she wondered if she needed therapy.
Class ended and Kat barely heard a word. She decided she'd go to the library and try to find something that would help her get rid of Nex. She gathered up her things and stepped outside, turning to go to the library.
"Kat," Jason called from behind.
Kat turned and tried very hard not to blush when she saw him. Nex was bringing out a lot of new feelings but she still had a crush on Jason.
"Hi," she greeted, clutching her notebook to her chest.
"Hey, I meant to catch you yesterday after auditions but you bailed pretty fast," he said, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "Sorry you didn't get the part you wanted."
"It's okay," Kat shrugged, darting her eyes away.
"For the record, I think you would've made a much better Constance," Jason said.
Kat's eyes snapped back to him and an involuntary smile crept on her face. "Thanks," she said, chewing her lip.
"So, listen, uh, I was wondering..." He trailed off, running a hand through his hair. "Do you wanna have dinner with me?"
Kat blinked a few times, not sure she heard him correctly. He waited for an answer and she blinked again, reminding herself she needed to actually speak.
"Dinner with you?" She repeated. "Like a..."
"Like a date? Yeah that's what I was hoping for," Jason chuckled.
Kat really couldn't hold back the smile now. She tucked her hair behind her ears and tried to not smile too much.
"Yeah," she nodded. "I'd like that."
"Great," Jason grinned. "Can I get your number and we'll make a plan?"
"Oh," Kat frowned, remembering Nex shattering her phone. "I'm out of a phone right now, it broke," she said, biting her lip. "But I'm on social media, you can just message me there. I'm on my computer a lot."
"I can do that," Jason nodded.
"My last name's-"
"I already know your last name, Kat," Jason smiled. "I may have looked at your profile a few times."
"Oh," Kat said, blushing.
"Couldn't help it. You're too gorgeous," he winked. "Let's just make a plan now. What about Friday night at seven? I can pick you up?"
"Okay," Kat agreed.
"Great," Jason said, pulling out his phone. "I'll send you a friend request and you send me your address, yeah?"
"Okay," Kat nodded, trying to hold back the giddy smile.
"See you Friday," Jason smiled, touching her arm as he moved past her.
Kat watched him walk away and once she was confident he wouldn't hear or see she squealed and jumped up and down. She was so excited and giddy, she didn't notice Nex leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, his eyes starting to get a little too red to pass as normal.
