《The Forgotten Four [Completed]》32

I had fallen asleep but woke up somewhat after three hours of being outside in this unbearable cold. I was shivering lightly and feeling worse than before. I couldn't feel my body. My lips were dry and numb. I couldn't move my hands and legs. Everything felt so broken. My heart, my body, everything ...
I didn't know my purpose of being here outside in the such cold. I just didn't wanted to go back. What if I leave and then me and Ashton would never come back together. I was scared of loosing him.
I just leaned against the wall and looked up at the sky. The dark, cold sky. The stars were clear and the moon was bright, a full moon. I loved full moon, it looked so beautiful. Calming and relaxing.
Suddenly the phone which was lying beside me started ringing. I looked down and realised that it was Ashton. I wanted to move but I couldn't move a bit. My body wasn't co-orperating.
It rang and rang. Ashton called two more times. Then he stopped calling me. I so desperately wanted to talk to him, but damn! I was so cold I couldn't even blink properly.
When the door opened, I jumped a little with the force it was pushed open beside me.
"Aana!" Ashton shouted when he realised that I was sitting on the floor. He kneed down beside me. I looked at him tiredly, expressionless.
He cupped my face in his hands and inspected my probably pale face. His eyes flickered throughout my body. He pushed the hairs off of my face to get a better view and his face just frowned more.
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Aana. Why! Why would you— fuck!" He screamed one last time before picking me up in his arms and carrying me into his house.

He layed me down on the couch gently and then rushed up the stairs.
I have to talk to him! I can't lay down like this!
I encouraged myself and pushed myself up. One minute ago, I couldn't move properly and now I was pulling myself up in a sitting position.
Power of Love.
Ashton came down with a bunch of blankets and a pillow. He rushed towards me and threw the blankets on the floor. He came to me and sat beside me. His moves were fast and unsteady.
"Aana, lay down," he touched my forehead, then slipped his hand at the back of my neck and then held my palm in his, "god! You're heating up. Why did you do that Aana. You-you stupid. You idiot! Why—"
I cut his rant by connecting my lips with his. I felt instant feeling of warmth and comfort. Both of us stayed like that which felt like forever. We looked into eachother's eyes until I became too weak to hold up anymore. I slipped away but Ashton caught me immediately wrapping his arm around my figure to keep me up.
My eyes were almost dropping. I looked at him with more and more tired eyes. I saw guilt, hurt and worry in his eyes. He brushed loose hairs off my face with his fingers.
"Ash.." I said in a weak voice.
He shook his head and picked me up and layed me back down on the couch. He scooped up the blankets from the floor and spread over my vulnerable body.
I observed his every move. He stumbled doing everything not able to concentrate on one thing. After I was wrapped in warm coverings. He sat down infront of my face on the floor. We were eye level now.
I slipped my hand out of the blanket and brushed it up over Ashton's cheek and kept if there weakly. He closed his eyes and relaxed. I couldn't help but stare at him. A small smile creeped onto my lips, my eyes smiling along.

His eyes still closed, he leaned forward and connected his warm lips with my cold ones sending chills down my spine. He pulled away and put his forehead against mine.
"I love you, Ash," I said in a broken voice, "I didn't do anything wrong. Trust me! Trust me!" With that, I started crying. Hot tears escaped my eyes.
Ashton looked hesitated. Unsure and confused. He kept both his hands on my face and rubbed the tears away. I hated the fact that he was avoiding eye contact. It was killing me.
"Go to sleep," he whispered whilst his thumb caressed my burning cheek.
"Ash,"
"Aana,"
Now, I couldn't help but feel my eyes drop. I feel asleep knowing reassuringly that atleast I'm with Ashton now.

Bright sun shine dangled over my eyes waking me up with a big yawn. I turned around to lay on my side when I noticed a sleeping figure on the floor. Ashton's head was resting on the couch's armrest sideways whilst he was sitting on the floor.
His hairs were all over the place whilst his eyes were almost covered with loose strands. Dark circles were visible under her eyes, I wondered what time he slept last night. His lips were lightly parted. I loved him so much, I couldn't help but adore every inch of him.
I interwined my fingers with his messy hair locks. My fingers trailed down his face and caressed his cheek. My hand flinched away when he steered in his sleep.
Ashton's eyes fluttered opened. His bright grey eyes met my brown ones. We stared at eachother until he finally stood up slowly and sat beside my stomach. He touched my forehead with his palm and then my cheek "you're better now," he mumbled rubbing his eyes trying to shoo the sleep away.
I pushed myself into sitting position. When Ashton realised that I was getting up, he helped me a little. I was still feeling soar and tired.
"Why did you stayed outside in the cold like that. That was so stupid. You could've gotten seriously sick, Aana," he scolded him a raspy morning voice.
"You weren't listening to me," I reasoned in a calm, soft voice.
"I don't need to listen anything," he mumbled looking away.
"Yes, yes you do," I grabbed his arm and made him look at me. "Relationship doesn't work like that. Communication, understanding and trust are the most important factors," I said now sobered up from the sleepy state.
He smirked tiredly and shook his head looking away "trust? Something that you broke?"
I frowned.
"What are you taking about?" I said loudly, "want do you know? I don't even look at any other boy but you. I don't understand how I broke your trust," I was in frustration now.
He clinged his jaw and took his phone out and placed it on my lap where there were some photos displayed on the screen.
It shocked me that the photos were about me, not only me but... Tony?

8 192Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
