Carter's POV:

Elizabeth and I had been driving for and hour singing along to the radio like idiots, we got on well which really helped aid the length of the journey. We neared the restaurant that we were all going to meet at and I pulled out my phone. I knew that Danny had left before all of us and so I called him expecting him to be there. He picked up, "Where you at Carter" he said abruptly, "we're almost there" answered Elizabeth and we ended the call. Then we pulled in.

We got out and I could feel my stomach doing flips because I was so hungry, Elizabeth held onto my arm and I didn't mind as we met Danny and Gwen outside. "Are we the first ones here?" I enquired wondering why they were both outside. Danny shook his head, "no, Annie and Matt got here a few minutes ago". I creased my face, yeah the liar but it was okay because I'm sure me and Elizabeth would have a great time maybe even spark a little? I wrapped my arm around the back of Elizabeth's neck as we walked in and came to the booth where Matt and Annabelle were sitting. We turn to see Matt and Annabelle kissing right in front of us. I felt my heart twinge.

"OI!" Danny called at them, they broke away from each other breathing heavily. Matt had a small smile on his face but Annabelle seemed unable to face any of us. With that she stood up and ran out the restaurant. All eyes were now trained on Matt as we all waited for him to say something. "My sister?" Danny said with irritation in his voice, Matt went to open his mouth but was unable to say anything. I was staring him down at this point, I don't know why I felt so angry but I did and it was bugging me, seeing him was bugging me. Like he had read my mind he stood up and spoke quietly, "I better check Anna is alright" and with that he left. We sat down in absolute silence unable to react. "I think they're sweet together" Gwen said quietly and everyone then stared at her. Together? Were they together?

After a few minutes we had sat down and settled a little bit more. Elizabeth was talking with Gwen and I with Danny. Matt, Elijah, Annabelle and Tara then walked in together happily like nothing had just happened. They sat down and I just stared at Annabelle. Were they together? Matt hadn't mentioned nothing but they were always around each other when I was with them around the house. My thoughts were intruded by the waitress coming over and by the time we'd all ordered it was silent again. I was still watching Annabelle and then Matt leant over and whispered something in her ear. That was it, they were definitely dating. I felt deflated, why did I feel so deflated? Maybe it's because I was not use to seeing her with someone and being as close as she was it was strange. Yes, that was definitely it.

"I need to know" Danny suddenly burst out with, I stared at him and he said at the new love birds, "what's going on between you two?". I stared straight at them, I too wanted an answer but didn't feel like it was my place to ask. They both looked up and stayed silent for a moment until Matt finally answered, "nothing". I didn't feel satisfied with that answer, there had to have been something or they wouldn't have kissed. I raised an eyebrow at Matt as he was smiling at the blushing Annabelle.
