Annabelle's POV:

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP. I groaned unbelievably loud so that my voice rung over the alarm clock, I turned then slapped my hand on top turning it off and sat up straight to wake me up. I felt my body feel dizzy for a few moments before I realised I had school. I walked slowly into the bathroom and washed my face vigorously, I then pulled out my toothpaste and with the upmost precision I squeezed the toothpaste out of the tube and began brushing my teeth. I then hopped in the shower for ten minutes and read the time 7:54, school started at 9 but I had to get up early because I knew how sluggish I was in the mornings.

I walked over to the wardrobe and threw on a woolly grey jumper, a leather skirt and black boots. I brushed out my hair and gave it some volume and decided to leave it down today. I threw on a bit of makeup and heard my phone ping, I had a message from Tara:

I got all excited, I was slowly but surely getting annoyed with TFL and the awkward car rides that came with going with Carter and Danny be it in either of their cars.

I walked downstairs to the kitchen to see Dad, Matt, Carter and Danny all filling up the kitchen. I rolled my eyes as I slipped my way through the kitchen towards the microwave. It was 8:15 but we didn't live too far from school. I put bread in the toaster trying my hardest not to make eye contact, "morning Bella" my dad called from behind me, I nodded and greeted him back. I turned to come face to face with a smiling Matt. "Hey beautiful" he whispered loud enough for only me to hear, I let out a sigh and turned back around. "Want to catch a ride with me" Matt said cheerily from behind me, I looked at him and gave him the biggest smile "sorry but I've already got a ride". At this I felt every pair of eyes lock onto me.

"Who are you going with?" Danny called out, taking a sip of his orange juice. My toast pinged and I put it onto the plate and buttered it, "Tara's got a car now and I'm going with her". I felt relief flood the room as everyone then carried on with whatever they were doing previously. "Till next time mi amour" whispered Matt, I rolled my eyes harshly and responded sarcastically to him with a "can't wait" as he finally left my side. I turned and saw Carter next to me with a gleaming smile, "hey Carter" I said halfheartedly. He looked at me as I studied his face from the side, even from this angle I found him cute "you ok Annabelle?". I loved it when he said my full name, it made my back shiver and caused me to break out in blushes. I looked to the floor and nodded, "good" he responded walking closer. He placed his hand under my chin connecting our eyes and with one final smile he left to join Danny and Matt.What a nuisance, laughing at me to making me feel completely vulnerable. 

I was now in the car with Tara and we were gossiping like it would be the last time we ever spoke. When we got to school we felt a sense of authority flood over us, technically it was our last year in secondary education before we faced the big wide world. I went through my first two periods and everything seemed okay, at break I sat with Tara and a few other who I was not concerned with and all seemed good. Tara had chosen Textiles, Art and Business studies, she was a very creative person and hoped to get a job as a fashion designer. The next two periods went a little slower but that was because I was obviously hungry, I thought for a moment and giggled to myself - I was always hungry. When all five periods have ended we headed towards the car park. Most students didn't have all 5 lessons like we did but we were okay with that, we'd have less on other days. Honestly I couldn't wait to go home, it was only Monday but I felt like I was going to make it this year. We were driving home when our phones pinged at the same time, reading the same message from Danny:

'We?', I rolled my eyes at this but looking at Tara's face she was excited, she loved driving and I couldn't be sure but in that moment I was sure she went faster, well why don't you step on it Tara? I said to myself with a quiet giggle.
