We were now in the car and I was in the backseat with Gwen. We'd picked her up about 10 minutes ago and we were almost at Tara's. Although Gwen is my brothers girlfriend I didn't much like her and so the car ride was rather awkward. We were in Carter's car as Danny's car was a 'babe magnet' as he says and was for picking up girls, not carrying them places which didn't make any sense to me at all. Throughout the car journey I had been left with my thoughts and I couldn't get over what Carter said. In actual fact it wasn't so much what he said but the effect it had actually had on me. When he told me I looked beautiful I felt myself blush but I wasn't the type of girl to go mushy at the knees when getting a compliment from a boy - so I had shrugged it off.

When we arrived at Tara's it was quiet and we knew the party would soon get so loud all the neighbours would be complaining. We all got out the car and went to the front door. As Tara opened the door she looked beautiful. She was wearing a strappy green silk bodycon dress that stopped just under the knees and was covered in a light flower print. Her hair was curled and she was wearing silver stilettos matching the colour of the flowers. Once we had all acknowledged her outfit we came inside. "I know i asked you guys to come early but i just wanted a little bit of muscle as protection", at this she looked over at Carter and Danny. They had big grins on their face but Gwen's face almost completely screwed up as she edged closer to Danny.

Almost an hour and a half later the party was thriving. Kids had filled the house now and the atmosphere was ecstatic. I had been standing with Tara and our other two but not so close friends Abigail and Helena when Carter had come over. At once Abigail and Helena went into a blushing pile of girly mush as I tried my hardest not to join them. "Hey girls" he said in a sexy but confident voice, I had never noticed until now just how smooth his voice was. "Hey Carter", the girls seemed to reply in sync and at this I giggled a little. They at once looked at me sternly and returned back to normal. Carter had been watching me and he had a small grin appearing in the corner of his mouth. "Could i talk to you for a sec Annabelle", he was one of the only people who called me fully by my first name and I had never known why. I nodded as we walked into the garden to get some kind of privacy, even though there were people everywhere. I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine and then he finally spoke, "Annabelle i wanted to talk to you about Rhydian" he spoke in a quiet voice but loud enough for me to hear and at this I felt my mood drop. He hadn't spoken to me in days and what right did he have trying to tell me. "He's not for you", he said quickly still staring into my eyes and at this my blood boiled and I blew.

"How dare you come to me after how long of treating me like i had done something wrong", my voice had become stern and angry and I saw his eyes darken at this. "You have had n-nothing to do with me since i came back", i spoke my voice beginning to break and so I took a deep breath and carried on. "I thought we were friends but your just in on it with my brother", I was cold but I meant every word. I saw his jaw tense up and look at me harshly and with that he shouted back at me, "I'm trying to help you god damn it and in on what?!", he spoke so loud that everyone outside had turned to look at us and I realised I couldn't do this. I took a step back from him and shook my head holding back the tears. He saw the sadness in my face and instantly his eyes grew warm again before he begun muttering a sorry and reaching his arm out to me. I slapped it away from me and said in a whisper with anger, "get away from me", then I turned quickly and went inside leaving him alone.

I went to the bathroom to calm myself down. I looked in the mirror and kept questioning why I had got upset. I had been shouted at plenty of times before, why was he any different. I took deep breaths and fixed my hair up as there was a knock on the door and an excited voice rang from behind it, "BELLA!". I knew it was Tara straight away and unlocked the door. As I saw her face she had excitement spilling out of her and I looked at her inquisitively. "Rhydian's here!" she said making a loud whisper. I felt my fingers tingle and quickly finished fixing up my hair as we went to the banister and she pointed at the sexy dark haired God before me.
