I can't tell you how happy I am that Will and I made progress on our dances last night.

But today, we go back to studio after a week and I have never been more excited.

I rolled out of bed, packed my dance bag, straightened my hair for once, make up, threw on a pair of jeans, but for some reason I really wanted to wear Connors soccer crew neck. So I threw on my boots and walked down to his room.

"Connor." I yelled as I walked through the door.

He groaned. "What Liv?"

"You good?" I gave him a look.

"I have a 102 fever, and my stomach is killing me. I'm freezing, and I have cold sweats. Mom said I'm not going to school." He shook his head. "What do you want?"

"Can I wear your soccer crew neck? The one that says Pate on the back with the flaming ball?" I pouted.

He sighed. "It's in my closet." He pointed.

"Thank you." I smiled. "Do you need anything before I go?" I walked in to his closet and grabbed it.

"Some gingerale and orange juice would be amazing. Maybe some toast with that apple butter stuff."

"Jesus, you really don't feel good, you hate gingerale." I shook my head.

"Can I have your heated blanket?" He pouted.

"Sure." I nodded, "I'll have Oaken grab it."

"Thank you nurse Ollie." He smiled and laid back down.

I walked downstairs. "Oak can you go get my heated blanket out of my room for Connor?"

"Why can't you?" He gave me a look.

"Because he asked for oj and gingerale with some toast. Unless you'd rather make him that." I crossed my arms.

"I'll get the blanket." He nodded and got up.

"That's nice of you baby." My dad smiled.

"He's letting me wear his shirt, and he's like, never sick. Plus he's been good this week, so, sick boy gets feel better food." I nodded.

"Well, I will take it up to him. You and Oaken are going to be late." My mom kissed my cheek. "Have fun at dance." She smiled.

I sighed. "Alright. Love you. Oak!" I yelled. "Lets go!"

Abby decided to have Ryan and Josh pick her up today, so it was just Oaken and I.

We went and got coffee, went to school, and we parted ways.

I was at my locker when someone walked up to me.

"Have a good night?" Cameron crossed his arms and leaned against the window by my locker.

"We got our dances pretty down, why?" I shook my head.

"Will posted a picture on facebook." He nodded.

"I know, I told him he could." I shrugged.

"So, running through dances requires him being shirtless?" He shook his head.

"Ok. Cameron, you lost the right to have an opinion on anything I do when you broke up with me because of my brother and the boys. He was shirtless, because it was hot down there. Contrary to what you might believe, dance is pretty tiring, you get hot quickly. It was dancing, that's it." I shook my head.

"Olivia." He sighed.

"You broke me." I nodded. "You broke my heart over something I didn't even do. I went to a party because Abby and Sienna were trying to cheer me up because of you, and I got drugged. I brought you around my family, introduced you to my life, and you broke me. So Cameron, I don't want to talk to you. Unless it's about an assignment that we have to do together, don't talk to me. This is the last time I'm going to say it. There's nothing to talk about between you and I, because there isn't a You and I. So for the love of god, leave me alone." I closed my locker and started to walk away.

Then he grabbed my arm. "Olivia wait."

"You can let me go." I pursed my lips.

"Not until you talk to me." He yelled.

And out of no where, his arm was ripped off me, and he was being slammed in to a locker by his throat.

"Oaken!" I yelled.

"It is one thing to talk to her, but it is another to put your hands on her." He yelled.

"Ol-ivia." Cam managed to choke out while gasping for air.

"Oaken let go!"

We were standing at Bens locker when we heard a slam.

"Oaken!" We heard Olivia yell.

Ben, Ryan and I looked down to Olivia's locker, and Saunders was being held against the lockers by his throat.

"Is that?" Ben looked at Ryan and I.

"Holy fuck, it is." Ryan looked at me.

"Oaken!" I yelled as we ran down the hall.

"Oaken let go." Ben yelled as he and I were pulling his arms off of Cameron.

"Oaken." I yelled as we finally pulled him away. "Take a walk." I pushed him down the hall.

And then he started walking back.

"I said, take a walk." I grabbed him by his shirt and started pulling him down he hall, followed by Ben.

I looked at Ryan and pointed to Olivia. "Handle that!" I yelled.

We had finally turned the corner and I pushed Oaken further.

"What the hell was that Oak." Ben threw his hands in the air.

"Ol told him to leave her alone, and he grabbed her." Oaken shook his head.

"So choke him out against a locker?" I put my hands in the air.

"She told him to let go, and he said he wasn't going to until she talked to him." He raised his eyebrows.

"Oaken Olivia can handle herself." Ben shook his head. "You don't need to do that."

"You guys do." Oaken crossed his arms.

I sighed and looked at Ben. "He's right. I would've done the same thing." I nodded.

"But yod don't get physical, ever." Ben shrugged.

"I know but-"

"It was Olivia." I pursed my lips.

"Yeah." Oaken sighed.

"Guess it really is the fantastic 5 huh?." Ben looked over at me.

I nodded. "You're definitely a Pate."

"Can we not tell anyone that that just happened." Oaken pursed his lips.

"Alot of people saw it Oak." Ben shook his head.

"I don't want Connor to find out and get pissed." He looked down.

"Oak, Connor's not going to be pissed. He's probably going to be pretty damn proud." I nodded.

"Besides, you just pulled a him." Ben laughed.

"Just, next time, throw a right hook. Just as effective as choking, just can't actually kill someone." I smirked.

He let out a small laugh. "Alright."

"Go find Amber and get to class." I let out a laugh and shook my head.

He nodded and walked away.

Ben looked at me. "We can't really call him baby Pate anymore." He shook his head.

"That kid is becoming more like Connor every day." I nodded.

Well, never in my life have I see Oaken pull some shit like he did.

But now, I am nervous walking in to second period.

I walked in and sat down next to Sienna. "What the hell happened this morning with Oaken and Cam." She laughed.

"Oaken turned in to Connor for a split second." I shook my head.

"Maybe he shouldn't put his hands on people." Mason laughed and sat down next to us.

"Excuse me." Sienna looked at me.

"He grabbed my arm. Nothing big." I shrugged.

"I don't care. He doesn't need to touch you." She shook her head.

And then Cam walked in and sat in the row infront of us.

"How's your throat Cam." She laughed.

He turned around, glared at her, and then looked at me. "Your brother ever touches me again, he's gonna regret it."

And then I felt my face change.

"I know you didn't just threaten Oaken." Mason shook his head.

"And what are you going to do." Cam gave him a look.

"I'm not gonna do shit, because I don't have to. But her." Mason pointed at me. "Is a whole other ball park of mean when it comes to Oaken and she doesn't care who it is. Not only will you deal with her, but you'll be dealing with Abby, Sienna, Josh, and not to mention Connor and Jake too. Oaken, he can handle himself, but he is the last person you want to come at. So I suggest you take it back, turn around, and not look back here again."

Then Cam looked at me. "I beat the hell out of my brother, over a guy who didn't deserve me in the first place. Now imagine what I'd do to you, over one of my brothers. If you go near my little brother, I will make sure you lose all of your scholorship opportunites. And you can believe that." I nodded.

"And she Abby and I, beat the hell out of Ben this weekend over a joke. So we're definitely not playing with you." Sienna crossed her arms. "Now do your self a favor and turn around."

He sighed and just turned around.

"Kids never gonna learn." Mason shook his head.

"He's persistant through, gotta give him credit for that." Sienna nodded.

I looked over at Mason, who now had his 'someones getting their ass beat' look on his face.

I pursed my lips and pulled my phone out.

O; No impulsive decisions.

His phone went off, he read it and just looked at me and replied.

M; It wouldn't be impulsive. Been wanting to for weeks now Ol.

I shook my head.

He sighed and leaned back in his chair.

I swear to god, english today felt like it was 4 hours long, and it was finally lunch.

I was at my locker with Oaken when Will walked over to us.

"Hey Olivia." He smiled.

"Hi Will." I smiled.

And then he looked at Oak. "Oaken, right?" He pointed at him.

"Captain America." Oaken gave a little wave.

"Is this a thing now?" Will looked at me and laughed.

"Better than shit brick." I shrugged.

"I can live with it." Will nodded. "Chris Evans in an attractive dude."

"What do you need Will?" I smiled and shook my head.

"Actually, I kind of wanted to talk to Oaken about something." He pursed his lips.

"Ok?" Oaken gave him a look.

"Uh, I saw what happened in the hall this morning." Will nodded.

"Oh, uh, if he's you're friend I'm-"

He cut Oaken off. "Oh hell nah, he's not." He shook his head. "But, I was wondering, have you ever considered playing hockey?" Will put his hands in his pockets.

I raised my eyebrows and looked at Oaken.

"I'm not exactly big enough to play hockey." Oaken shook his head.

"Hey, hockey has nothing to do with size. It's about skill, balance, accuracy, and speed. But, you were pretty quick getting over here this morning, and, anyone who can pin Cameron Saunders against a locker by his throat, has to have some time of strength, even if he can't see it himself." Will smirked.

"I've never thought about it." Oaken shook his head again.

"Well from what I hear, you're pretty good at baseball, or at least thats what Nico said. Swinging a bat and hitting a ball means you've gotta have some great accuracy, running bases with speed. And with what I saw this morning, you can get agressive." Will nodded. "So, if you're interested, I'd like to work with you, if you wanted to try out."

"Why?" Oaken gave him a look.

"Because, I graduate at the end of the year, which means, this school needs another me. And I'm pretty sure I'm looking at him. And if you're willing to work with me and try out, I'm pretty positive you could make varsity." Will shrugged.

"I'm only a freshman." He pursed his lips.

"I know." Will nodded. "Only one other freshman has ever made the varsity team. And you're looking at him. I think you've got potential. So, think it over, and if you decide you wanna give it a shot, Olivia's got my number." He smiled.

"Recruiting freshman huh." I smirked and nodded.

"I saw something worth investing my time in." Will shrugged. "I, will see you at the studio." He pointed at me. "And really Oaken, think about it." He nodded and walked away.

"Did that just happen?" Oaken looked at me.

I nodded. "And Will is pretty serious about hockey. So, if he says he sees something, its worth finding out what it is."

"Do you think I could actually play hockey though?" He pursed his lips.

"I think, you can do anything you want to Oak. You didn't think you would be able to play ball, and you're one of the few kids in his town who has never been struck out. So, if you wanna give it a try, give it a try." I smiled.

"I might." He nodded and walked to his class.

I went to lunch.

The rest of the school day flew by, dance flew by. And Jane was pretty impressed that I showed her my choreo a day early, and now it's entered in the competition Saturday.

I got home, and dinner was being put on the table.

I walked in and sat down with my brothers and parents.

"Feeling better?" I looked at Connor.

He nodded.

"How was dance Ol?" Jake asked. "Solo get approved?"

"It did." I smiled.

"Good baby. How was school you two?" My dad asked.

I pursed my lips and look at Oaken. He was just looking down.

"Olivia?" My mom gave me a look.

I just didn't say anything.

"Oak?" My dad gave him the same look.

He didn't say anything.

Connor looked at Oaken, and then me. "What happend?"

"Uh, Cam came up to me in the hallway. And I finally kind of, exploded. And then when I went to walk away he grabbed my arm." I pursed my lips again.

"Ok, so why isn't he saying anything?" Jake pointed at Oaken.

"Because, uh, when he wouldn't let go, Oaken kind of, slammed him against the lockers." I looked down.

"What?" Connor raised his eyebrows.

"By his throat." I scrunched my face.

"Oaken." My mom shook her head.

"He wouldn't let go." Oaken shook his head. "Mason and Ben pulled me away and kind of threw me down the hall."

"Atta boy." Connor nodded.

"Shut up." I shook my head.

"But, uh, you know Liv's dance partner Will right?" Oaken pursed his lips.

"Yes, what about him?" My dad gave him a look.

"I guess he saw it happen, and he came up to me and Liv at her lunch while we were at her locker, and he asked me if I had ever considered playing hockey. He said he wants to work with me to get me ready for try-outs, and he says I have a real possibility of making Varsity. If I want to try-out."

"Hockey?" My mom raised her eyebrows. "I don't think so." She shook her head.

"Mom come on. Why?" Oaken shook his head.

"Ice, sharp blades, sticks. No." She shook her head.

"I could get hurt in anything." He crossed his arms.

"I said no Oaken." She yelled.

"But, if Olivia wanted to do gymnastics where she's flying through the air half the time, that'd be alright. Or if Connor wanted to wrestle where he's getting slammed on a mat. Or if Jake wanted to do boxing that'd be cool too. But since I want to try something new, it's no. This is bullshit." He stood up and walked out of the kitchen.

"Oaken Lucas!" My dad yelled.

Jake and I were both really quiet.

"He's not wrong mom." Connor shook his head.

"Excuse me?" She gave Connor a look.

"Let me ask you something. What is the ratio of football to hockey injuries that you see come in to the ER?" He pursed his lips.

"I don't know." She raised her eyebrows.

"I can guarentee football is alot bigger Mom. You can literally get hurt in any sport. Liv, she's broken the same 3 bones at least twice, she's gotten surgery on her feet, and has had multiple sprains. I've shattered my shin, broke my foot, and have been kicked in my head in goal so hard, that I couldn't play for 3 weeks. Jake, he's broken his collar bone twice, got two of his teeth knocked out through his face mask, and has had what, 7 concussions since he was 14?" He looked over at Jake.

"9." He pursed his lips.

"Exactly." He pointed at him. "And after all of those, you never told us we couldn't do it anymore. You're always telling us to try new things, but since Oaken wants to try something you don't like it's not ok? I get that he's your baby, but he has as much of a chance getting hurt in baseball as he does playing hockey. He's honestly probably safer playing hockey than having a ball fly at his head. Oaken is fast Mom. He's got accuracy. And if Will Grayson is saying he has a shot being great at a sport Will has mastered himself, to the point where he's got 7 scholorship offers for it, and this season hasn't even started yet, then Oaken should be able to try. Will doesn't offer to help anyone, and if he's offering to help Oak it's because he sees someone who has alot of potential. So good god mom, let Oaken try." He looked down.

Jake and I just stared at him.

"What." He shook his head.

"You don't like hockey." I pursed my lips.

"I don't have to like it. Oaken's the one who wants to play." He shrugged.

"Grounded." My mom nodded.

"Holly." My dad looked at her.

"Goodnight Connor." She pointed up the stairs.

"That's fine mom, but if one of them wasn't going to say it, I was. He might be your baby, but he's not a baby anymore." Connor shook his head and walked away from the table.

"Jake, Ol, can you two maybe finish your dinner upstairs." My dad pursed his lips.

We both nodded and went to our rooms.

I group chatted with Josh, Abby, and Sienna, told them all about the dinner from hell.

I got in the shower after I was done eating.

And then my phone started ringing.

O; Yes Mason?

M; Connor told your mom off?

O; Oh so he told you about the shit show?

M; Oaken wants to play hockey?

O; He does. I think he'd like it.

M; Hockey is for douchebags.

O; And so is soccer.

M; Haha you're hilarious. And chance I could get you to lock your door right now?

O; For?

M; Do you trust me?

O; Stupid question.

M; Oh just lock your door shit brick.

O; Fine. God.

I got up, and locked my door.

M; now open your window.

O; Ok?

I opened my window, and a few seconds later Mason was crawling through my window.

"What the hell are you doing? I whispered as he plopped on to my bed.

"I didn't want to talk on the phone anymore." He smiled and closed my window.

"So you climb up the side of my house and through my window?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Pretty romantic, huh?" He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows.

"Kind of actually." I smiled and nodded.

"And after the shit-tastic day you've had, I brought you something." He nodded.

"Ok?" I gave him a look.

He took his crew neck off. The big fuzzy one I was wearing all weekend, and handed it to me. "For you to sleep in." He smiled

"What did you do with Mason Hollow?" I shook my head.

"He's trying to land a girlfriend." He shrugged.

"Never thought I'd hear the word girlfriend come from you." I pursed my lips.

"Oh shut up." He rolled his eyes.

"Make me." I smiled.

He pulled me down on to my bed. "With pleasure." He nodded and kissed me.

"So, did you lock your door?" I pulled away and asked.

"And cracked my window to get back in. Why?" He gave me a look.

"Stay with me tonight." I smiled.

He raised his eyebrows. "Really?"

I nodded.

He let out a small smile. "Ok." He nodded.

Was this incredibly risky? Absolutely.

But, this boy just scaled the side of my house because he didn't want to talk on the phone, but wanted to talk to me. He brought me his favorite shirt because I had a bad day. And honestly, it was the sweetest thing ever.

So now, I am going to fall asleep next to the guy who did those things.

The guy who is trying to prove that he's actually serious.

But, it's still early days, so, we'll see.
