《Taming The Bad Boy》16.

It was Friday night now.
I've barely talked to Mason all week, I've barely gone near him. Basically I was trying to avoid him completely.
But it's about to be really hard, because we're all heading up to the cabin at the Valley resort tomorrow.
I was trying to take my mind off the day of bad judgement still, because unfortuneately, it was all I could think about. So, I was down stairs working on my student choreo.
Being stress and on edge, my rythem was completely off, my foot work was sloppy, and I couldn't even land a triple pirouette in to an aroebesque without slipping off my toes.
I had finally had enough, "Damn it!" I screamed and I kicked my waterbottle in to my mirror wall, luckily it didn't break. I sat down and put my elbows on my knees.
"Liv?" Connor came running down the stairs.
"What!" I yelled.
He sighed. "What's going on?" He tilted his head.
"Nothing, I suck. That's it." I shook my head.
"No you don't." He shook his head and leaned against my barre. "What's wrong?"
"My rythem is off, I can't get my footwork down. And I can't even land a triple. And I have to find a move thats going to wow." I threw myself back.
"Alright, just relax, take a beat, and try it again. Breathe and slow it down." He walked over and pulled me off the floor.
I took a few deep breaths as he pulled a chair over to my barre.
"Now take it slow." He nodded.
I tried it, and once again slipped off my toes.
"Olivia." He shook his head.
"What Connor." I rolled my eyes.
"You're right handed." He crossed his arms.
"Ok and?" I shrugged.
"So why in the hell are you using your right leg as your supporting, when you know its your left?" He tilted his head.
"What." I looked down at my legs.
"Liv, you just turned on your right leg. That's why youre so off balance." I pursed his lips.
I sighed, and did a triple with my left leg.
"What is going on with you?" He shook his head.
"Distracted." I shook my head.
"What'd Mason do?" He pursed his lips.
"What do you mean?" I gave him a look.
"Olivia, you've barely talked to him all week. You're clearly pissed." He shrugged.
I sighed. "Mason isn't necessarily my first choice for conversation Connor, I would never talk to him if I had the choice."
"Well you don't. What's distracting you?"
"I guess just the pressure." I shrugged.

"You never crack under pressure." He gave me a look.
"Yeah, but this is completely me, no ones choreographing for me, and I have to come up with something amazing." I gave him a straight smile.
He got a look on his face like he was thinking. "Come on." He grabbed my hand and dragged me up the stairs.
"Baby?" My dad asked as he pulled me through the kitchen.
"I don't know." I yelled as Connor pulled me out the door.
"Con what are you doing?" I shook my head.
He pulled me over to the trampoline. "Get up there." He nodded.
"For what?" I gave him a look.
"Just do it Olivia." He rolled his eyes.
I sighed and jumped up on the trampoline. "What?"
"Do a layout." He crossed his arms.
"For?" I shook my head.
"Just do it?" He shook his head.
I rolled my eyes and did the layout.
"Again, for?"
"Is it possible for you to kind of like, rotate your body the whole way around?" He pursed his lips.
"A full?" I gave him a look.
"No clue." He shook his head.
I sighed, and did a full twist. Which is a lay out, but you do a 360 degree twist.
"Yes! That!" He pointed.
"Ok, then yes, what about it?" I shrugged.
"Can you do that on he ground?"
"I've never tried it on the ground, but I can do a half on floor. Connor what's going on?"
"Get down." He nodded.
"Jesus christ." I shook my head and jumped down. "What?"
"Try it."
"Not until you tell me for what." I crossed my arms.
He sighed. "What if you did that, but when you landed it, you went in to a triple, then an aerobesque, but instead of putting your leg down, you drop down in to like a push up form, then in to a bridge, do your little back walk over thing, then in to another triple, then in to a grand jete." he pursed his lips.
I scrunched my face and gave him the stupidest look I could. "What?"
"Are you really going to make me say all that again?" He tilted his head.
"Where did you even come up with that?" I shook my head.
"I don't know, I kind of just put a bunch of stuff together on the spot." He shrugged.
"Do you even know what a grand jete is?" I raised my eyebrows.
"Yeah, it's like I jumping split." He nodded.

"Do you know how complex that whole thing sounded?" I shook my head.
"I've seen you do every one of them Liv."
"When have you ever seen me drop down out of an aerobesque Connor?" I gave him a look.
"That ones new." He shrugged.
"Mom!" I yelled in to the house.
She opened the door and walked out. "What?"
"Do you know what your son just said to me?" I shook my head.
"Am I going to want to smack him?" She gave me a look.
"He just told me I should do a full, in to a triple, then aerobesque down in to a push up form, spin in to a bridge, do a back walk over, in to another triple, to a grand jete, and he actually used the term grand jete." I crossed my arms.
She gave him the same stupid look I did. "What?"
"It sounds cool doesn't it." He gave her a straight smile and nodded.
"Actually it does." She nodded.
"Mom." I shook my head. "I can't do that."
"And why not? You never back down from a challenge Olivia." She gave me a straight smile. "Try it."
I looked at Connor. "Come downstairs with me." I grabbed his hand and dragged him through the house.
We got down stairs.
"Show me the push up stance." I sighed.
He got down and showed me. "I can't lift my leg like that but you get the just." He stood up.
"Ok." I nodded. "So aero," I did it, "Then down like this?" I dropped down to what he just showed me but with my leg still up.
"Yeah, and then of drop your leg and body down at the same time." He nodded.
I dropped my leg and body down.
"Then roll over to a bridge." He sat down and put his elbows on his knees.
I rolled over in to a bridge. "Then back walk over." I flipped my legs over. "triple." I did my turns. "The grand jete?" I moved my arms how I would if I were to actually do it.
"Yes." He nodded.
"Seriously?" I shook my head.
"Yes, and before all that the twist thingy in to a triple." He smiled.
I sighed. "I'm not trying the full right now." I shook my head.
"So use your half or whatever?" He shrugged.
I thought for a minute. "Turn on Gasoline by Halsey." I nodded and went to the middle of the matt.
He did what I asked. And i was just breathing through the first parts. Until it started to slow down.
I walked over to the side of my mat, and when she started singing I started running, and when the beat dropped, i threw a half, landed in to a triple, the aerobesque to the floor, bridge to walk over, then triple and grand jete, but after that, i did a single down to the floor, threw some floor moves in, then back up in to a quadruple, in to a slow sort of standing split to the side.
I stopped and bent over breathing heavily.
"What the fuck was that?" We heard from the stairs.
Connor turned around and I looked over to the stairs.
Oaken and Mason were both standing there wide eyed.
"Hi." Connor smiled up at them.
"What in the hell was that?" Mason shook his head.
I sighed. "Me admitting Connor had a good idea." I shook my head.
"It'll be cooler when you do the full twisty thing with it." Connor nodded.
"That was your idea?" Oaken pointed at me.
"When did you guys come down?" I them a look.
"You flipped over in to a turn then jump, then went down to the floor." Oaken nodded.
"Then a small portion of what you saw was his idea." I nodded.
"You didn't see the cool part." Connor shrugged.
"I think we'll save that for the competition." I smiled at Connor.
"You're going to try it?" He smiled.
"I have a week to land it or I'm doing the half twist." I nodded.
"Sweet." He nodded.
"Thank you." I smiled.
"Make it worth it." He smiled. "What's up Mase?"
"I came over to put my bag in the car until we put it on the roof. I'm so confused about what just happened?"
"Connor spewed some bullshit, and it worked." I nodded.
"Oh you're talking to me now?" Mason gave me a look.
"Well, now that you said something, not anymore." I walked up the stairs past him.
I walked in to the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
"Well?" My mom gave me a look.
I sighed and smiled. "We're going to try." I nodded.
"It looked cool huh?" She smiled.
"I get it mom, he was right." I rolled my eyes and went upstairs.
I took a shower and went to bed, because I was about to be driving 2 hours at 8 am. And I wanted too work out first.
