《Taming The Bad Boy》1.

OK, so, lets start off with the basics.
My name should probably be first. It's Olivia Pate.
I'm also 16. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania.
Correction, we live in a small town in Pennsylvania. We being my parents Jason and Holly, and my 3 brothers, Jake, Connor, and Oaken.
Jake is 20, goes to Penn State. Connor, 17 senior. Oaken, 14, freshman. Me only god damn sister.
So, let me give you the inside scoop.
At the end of the school year, Connor, our neighbor and his best friend Mason, Ryan, another best friend, just not our neighbor, Ben, the other best friend, also not our neighbor, left for soccer camp.
I enjoyed it.
Connor, all though a dick to me three fourths of the time, is stupid protective of Oaken and I. Jake, he's been calm and casual most of the time, unless given a reason not to. Unfortunately, being the sister, Connor is a little more protective of me than he is Oaken. But, I can't act like a saint. I am also protective of Connor and Oaken. Particularly Oaken. But, the worst part about Connor, is that on top of him, I also have to deal with the best friends. Who I am also weirdly protective of.
Here's some insight on the 'Fantastic Four' as I call them.
Connor, my older brother, thinks that I'm a baby, makes it impossible for me to date, constantly picking on me, not to mention, giant fuck boy.
Ryan Chandler, friends with Connor since the age of 8, dating my best friend Abby, also constantly picking on me because 'you're like my little sister.' Very protective of us.
Ben Brooks, friends with Connor since he move here at the age of 12. Connor, Mason, and Ryan have all been friends since. Not as much of a fuck boy as Connor, but still a fuck-boy, also, constantly picking on me. Also very protective.
Mason Hollow, best friends with Connor since the age of 4. Our mothers are best friends. Picks on me worse than both Ben and Ryan. Also makes it impossible for me to date, mostly from embarrassment. And yet again, also a fuck boy. But, worse than Connor, and way worse than Ben. Just as protective as Connor.
Now, allow me to give you some information on the Winsome Threesome. Which would be myself, Abby Colton, and Josh Chandler.
Abby Colton, my best friend since first grade. Again, dating Ryan. Neither of us give a damn, because along with me, she also has to deal with the Fantastic Four. We're in it together. And dealing with those boys, you learn how to handle yourself.
Josh Chandler, Abby and I's other best friend since like, the sixth grade. Little brother of Ryan Chandler. If you're not keeping up, Ryan as in Connors best friend and Abby's boyfriend. Keeps Abby and I humble, makes sure we don't fly off the handle and kill one of the boys. Very cute. Also, very gay.
Now that we're done shedding light on the people in my life, back to the main topic.
Today is Friday, the weekend before school starts. Abby, Josh and I are finally Juniors. And the Fantastic Four, who are going in to their senior year, will be back from their summer at soccer camp today.
Which means, my summer of peace is now over.
Abby, Josh, and I were all up in my room waiting on the chaos that was about to come in to my home.
Masons mom was over setting up for a little welcome back cookout for the boys and their families, and obviously Abby.

"Think Masons still hot?" Josh asked throwing a stress-ball in the air sitting in my chair.
"Would it be possible for him to get hotter?" Abby laughed laying on her back at the end of my bed.
"You two are clearly blind if you think he's hot. Maybe cute, but hot, no." I rolled my eyes as I continued to flip through my magazine laying on my stomach.
"You know our theory Liv." Josh shook his head.
"And your 'theory' is complete and utter bullshit." I tilted my head at him.
"Connor would have a shit fit if Mason ever tried anything with you, but it would be incredibly entertaining." Abby let out another laugh.
"You realize fuck boy is not my type, correct?" I scrunched my face.
"Speaking of your type, are you going to tell Connor about Cam?" Josh pursed his lips.
"Fuck no." I shook my head. "I'm not telling any of them. There's 2 very large reasons I haven't had a boyfriend, and the only reason I do now is because Tweedledee wasn't here to pull out the 'walk the fuck away from my sister' and Tweedledum wasn't here to basically bring up every embarrassing thing I've done since I was 3. And Ryan and Ben would give me shit for it every day too."
"And how does Cam feel about that?" Josh asked.
"I've explained it over and over again." I shrugged. "I just don't want Connor going ballistic."
"Does that mean your 'sleepovers' are over." Abby wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"Those sleepovers are not to be mentioned." I pointed at both of them. "Connor may literally kill me if he find out I am no longer his innocent baby sister."
"You haven't been a virgin since you were a freshman, and he still doesn't know?" Josh laughed.
"If you had sex with me would you want Connor to find out? Or do you like your teeth?" I gave him a look.
"Guess it's good I bat for the other team huh?" He smiled.
"Hey Ab?" my little brother asked swinging my door open.
"Yes Oak?" She tilted her head upside down and looked at him.
"How do you get a girl to have sex with you?" He leaned in the door frame.
"Uh, you ask her and hope she says yes." Abby pursed her lips.
He smirked. "Hey Ab, wanna fuck?" He winked.
Josh and I both let out a choked back laugh.
"I better have heard that wrong." A large blonde boy grabbed him by his shirt and pushed him down the hallway.
"Oh god they're back." Josh threw his head back.
"Oh shut up." Ryan said walking in and plopping down on Abby. "I missed you gorgeous." He kissed her.
"I'm so happy you're home." She wrapped her arms around him.
Josh and I looked at each other and just rolled our eyes.
I went back to flipping through my magazine.
And then felt two heavy people jump on my back.
"Sup Bitch." Connor put me in a headlock.
"Hows it hanging Oliver?" Mason asked as he sprawled across me and my bed.
"Get the hell off me." I tried to squirm free.
"Tap out." Connor laughed.
"Seriously get the hell off." I yelled trying to putt Connors arms off.
"Just tap out Liv." Ben laughed walking through my doorway.
I tapped out, and after another minute Connor finally let go and Mason got up.

"For the love of god, go back to camp!" I pointed to my door.
"Oh shut up Ollie, you know you miss us. Specifically my fine ass." Mason wiggled his eyebrows and sat on my dresser with Connor. Ben sat on my desk, and Ryan sat down with Abby's head on his lap.
I fake gagged. "Sorry, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit."
"Bitch, I'm a snack." He flipped me off.
I scrunched my face. "What fucking snack?" I shook my head. "Pretzels?"
Abby and Josh let out a laugh.
"You're coming at him when you're literally a saltine, bitch?"
I rolled off my bed, and motioned toward the door, "Remove yourselves from my room. Maybe go play in traffic."
"Nah, we're good." Ben nodded.
"Dad!" I yelled out my door.
"Alright! Jesus." Connor jumped off my dresser and walked out of my room with the rest of the fantastic four.
"Hell." I nodded and slammed my door. "My life is back to hell."
"One more year baby. One more year and you don't have to worry about them anymore." Abby got up and hugged me. "Tanning now?" She smiled.
I shook my head. "I suppose we can now."
"Yes! Thank you." Josh stood up and wrapped his arms around both of us.
Josh put on his swim trunks, Abby put on a red one piece that had the sides cut out.
"You should wear your yellow one." Josh nodded.
"Absolutely, it makes your butt look phenomenal and your tan pop." Abby smiled.
"And why would I need to enhance either of those things?" I shook my head.
"Maybe Tweedledee and Tweedledum will stop looking at you like you're 6 instead of 16." Abby shrugged.
"The thought of Mason looking at me like anything makes me want to vomit." I scrunched my face and nodded.
"Just throw the swim suit on Liv." Josh rolled his eyes.
I put on the bright yellow bikini, that was quite, cheeky. Cheeky as in my ass cheeks were half out.
"I forgot they haven't seen the new bod yet." Abby laughed.
"New bod?" I gave her a look.
"It's not exactly a secret you blossomed over the summer." She returned the look.
"And by blossomed, we mean that you're no longer as flat as cardboard Miss C cup." Josh gave me a straight smiled.
"Plus, you and Cam working out, you're definitely toned now. And that booty is perky." Abby smiled.
"So you mean I'm you, with black hair." I pursed my lips.
"Exactly." She clapped. "Off we go."
She dragged both Josh and I down to the back yard.
We walked out the door, Oaken and Jake were throwing a football back and forth, mom dad and the Hollows were setting out food while we waited for Ryan and Ben's parents, and the other four were playing basketball.
"Whoah." Ben tilted his head as we walked out. He looked at Ryan, who was also looking at us wide eyed.
"What?" Connor stood straight up and shrugged.
Ryan pointed toward Abby, Josh and I as we set our stuff on our lay out chairs.
Connor and Mason turned around.
Mason raised his eyebrows. "What the fuck." He shook his head.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Connor threw his hands in the air as he walked over to us. "Go change." He said standing in front of me.
"No?" I gave him a look.
"Now!" He yelled and pointed toward the house.
"Go play with your friends Connor." Abby crossed her arms. "She's 16, not 6."
"When did all that happen?" Ben asked as he Ryan and Mason walked over to us.
"Obviously over the summer genius." Josh rolled his eyes. "Peak of puberty and a good workout partner does wonders."
I just gave Josh the stupidest look.
"Work out partner?" Mason looked down at me. "You don't work out."
"She has for the past almost 3 months, get used to it." Abby rolled her eyes.
"Go change!" Connor crossed his arms.
"Again, no." I crossed my arms back.
"Olivia!" He pointed toward the house.
"Connor!" I yelled back.
"Ooo, he called her Olivia." We heard Oaken and Jake from across the yard.
"Go fucking change." He took a deep breath.
"You go change." I rolled my eyes and turned around.
Next think I know, I'm under water.
I floated back up. "What the hell is wrong with you!" I threw my hands up and splashed him.
"I told you to go change!" He yelled splashing me back.
"Last I checked you're name is Connor, not Jason!" I yelled dunking him under.
He popped back up. "You don't need to wear anything with your ass half out and your boobs jacked up to your neck." He dunked me under.
I floated back up. I pushed him. "Stop acting like you control everything."
He pushed me back. "When it comes to you I do!"
"You don't!" I pushed him again.
Mason and Ben both jumped in the pool.
"Connor stop!" Ben yelled throwing his arms around him.
"Knock it off Ollie!" Mason yelled throwing me over his shoulder.
"Tell her to change!" Connor pointed at me.
"Tell him I'm a big girl and can wear what I want to!" I yelled as Mason walked up the stairs to the pool. "And put me the hell down!"
"Are you done?" Mason yelled at me.
"Is he!" I yelled back.
"You both are." My mom shook her head as she and my dad walked over.
"Connor, stop telling her what to do." My dad pointed at him. "Olivia can wear what she wants to an extent. Swimwear is tricky, but there is no problem with what she's wearing."
Mason put me down. I pushed him. "And you." My dad pointed at me next. "Stop pushing people. Keep your hands to yourself. Unless it's just these 4, dress modestly, alright!"
"He tackled me in the pool!" I threw my hands in the air.
"I don't care Olivia! You two keep your hands to yourselves. Understand me?" My mom yelled.
"Yes ma'am." We both said as we looked down.
"Thank you Mason. Thank you Ben." My dad nodded.
They both gave him a straight smile and nodded.
My parents walked away.
I turned to Mason and pointed at him. "Do not pick me up again." I walked back over to Josh and Abby.
"You were right." Josh nodded. "Hell."
"I actually think it's worse now." Abby laughed. "For the record, Mason and Ben stared directly at your ass the entire time you were walking over here."
"Vomit." I nodded.
The three of us sat down on our lay out chairs.
"So, Nico's party tomorrow?" Josh looked over at Abby and I.
"My parents don't care." Abby shrugged. "Then again when do they ever."
"Liv?" He asked.
"Oaken guilt tripped me in to it. They said the only way he could go is if I do. But, I will not be drinking. I'm driving." I shook my head.
"Oak's going?" She gave me a look.
"Cody invited him." I rolled my eyes.
"Is it bad I completely forgot Nico had a little brother?" Josh shook his head.
"Cody's quiet. So is Oaken, but I think they're kind of like 'it's high school now bitch, lets ball out.' You know?" Abby laughed.
"Praying he doesn't turn in to a small version of Connor." I pursed my lips.
"Could you imagine two of him!" Josh laughed.
"Even worse, could you imagine two of Mason." Abby shook her head.
"Oh god don't even say that." I scrunched my face.
"I'll come over early and pick out your outfit." She clapped.
"So I cant wear sweat pants?" I pouted.
"Uhm no." Josh shook his head. "Especially since your boy will also be there."
"Connor is going to have a shit fit." Abby nodded.
"No, because he's not going to know. I feel bad about it, but it's for Cam's own good." I nodded.
"It's not like you're hiding him, the only ones who don't know are those four." Josh patted my back.
"Exactly Liv. You're kind of protecting him by not letting Connor know." Abby gave me a straight smile.
"At least someone understands." I threw my hands in the air.
Once all the families were here they called us over to the tables for dinner.
We ate, somewhat enjoyed the company, I realized most of my school year was about to be spent looking over my shoulder for headlocks and full nelsons, we had a small little fire, then everyone went home.
I was in my room snap-chatting Cam. I ended up telling him I was going to work out with Jake in the morning. Cam has been over every morning to either work out here, or go to the gym for the past almost 3 months since we started talking. We actually met at the gym because Abby somehow managed to talk me in to it. I stuck with it. She did not. I actually enjoyed it. It made me feel a lot healthier that I was putting on weight. We started working out every day together then after a few days, he asked me on a date, and since I didn't have to deal with Connor, I said yes. A few weeks later and about 5 dates later, we're dating. Mom and Dad love him. Jake approves, he's great to Oaken. The Hollows know about him, have met him a few times, and Josh and Abby love him. But Connor, and I say this a lot, don't take it lightly, would have a complete shit fit.
Here's some background on him.
Cameron Saunders. 17, senior along with the fantastic four. Plays football and baseball. Very sweet, very attractive, very different from the four boys I'm normally around. Complete opposite of Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Underestimates the hell out of them though. And I, am very very in to him.
He snapped me back and told me to enjoy time with my brother, and that he was excited to see me at the party. I told him the boys would also be there. And he said, and I quote. "Liv, I don't care. I'm excited to see my girlfriend. *smiley face, heart* goodnight beautiful. Don't forget you're on reps 2 reps of 15. Very proud of you for that little gym monkey."
I gave him a smile. "Goodnight juice head. *Kissy face*
"And whose that shit brick?" Connor walked in and flopped on my bed.
I quickly locked my phone. "Abby."
"Better be." He gave me a look.
"Again, 16, not 6. You're Connor not Jason. I can also talk to whomever I please. And there's nothing you can do about it."
"Watch me." He crossed his arms. "Are you drinking tomorrow?"
"No, I'm driving. Oaken will be." I rolled my eyes.
"Oaken's going?" He gave me a look.
"He is." I nodded.
"Great, now I have to babysit both of you." He shook his head.
"I'm grown." I pursed my lips and nodded. "And don't act like you will have time to babysit anyone, you have to start your quota early." I crossed my arms.
"Oh shut up." He smacked the back of my head.
"Seriously Connor. You know how you act with me. Why do you do that to other girls? How would you feel if someone treated me like I was literally a slice of cake?"
"And that right there is why I am the way I am. No one is treating you like a slice of cake." He rolled his eyes.
"You just completely avoided the purpose of that." I scrunched my face.
"You're god damn right I did. You're different Olivia. You're staying intact until you're married." He smiled.
"You're delusional." I rolled my eyes.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" He gave me another look.
"It means no one waits until they're married moron. Get out." I pointed toward the door.
"Whatever. Since you're not drinking, we're riding with you." He stood up and threw my pillow at me.
"And what would you do if I didn't have third row seating?" I crossed my arms.
"Make you get a new car." He shrugged and walked out of my room.
Think my mom can put her second son back? Maybe sell him on e-bay, or is that one illegal?

Nobody's Way
Foreign Thorn: Book 1 For eight centuries, the people of Isla have wanted for nothing. The Creator, Maere, uses Her power not only to keep them healthy and fed, but also to map the direction of each person's future Path - their vocation, role in society, and even the partner they'll spend their life with. In a world where infighting once threatened the very survival of humankind, the old texts say that Maere personally stepped in to help guide Her creations to harmony. All is not well among the people of the northern lands, however, as Jian discovers when she receives her own long-awaited Path. The Creator has chosen to favour some towns, but not others, leading to anarchy and unrest in the east, and fierce distrust between the neighbours who enjoy Her protection and those who don't. After many nights of disturbing premonitions, visions of a face uncannily familiar to her, and a voice beckoning her to "Homeland," Jian decides she needs to find answers for herself. She hires Madrigal, a surly young traveller hailing from an "unblessed" village, to take her to the southern lands. The swordsman is on the run from something, or someone, but Jian has no choice but to trust him. When the two leave the safety of the familiar and meet Quinn, a mysterious boy who seems to know more about Jian than she does about herself, it becomes clear that there are forces besides the old magics, forces completely unknown to the people of Isla, in play. Madrigal and Jian aren't sure if Quinn can be trusted, but they're certain he knows more than he's letting on...

Chimera
Eleanor meant the world to Titus. So when an opportunity to bring her murderer to justice appears, Titus jumps on the chance. His quest, however, would mean traversing the dangerous world of Nivandor, a land infested with monsters, night hunters, and corrupt kings–nothing he and his lord, Lady Priscilla, couldn't handle. Their plans change, however, when both of them are dragged into a nightmare realm, a dimension filled with strange and powerful terrors unlike any they've ever faced. Titus's skill as a kinetic mage is put to the ultimate test as he must work with his lord to fight off the increasingly dangerous monsters that hunt them as they hunt down the three remaining Seraph lords sustaining the Nightmare. For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. Warmly, Daniel --- Disclamer: This story is not a finished product and will be undergoing changes, sometimes significant changes, as the story develops. Think of it as an early access story where nothing is fully set in stone. If I change a part of the story that you really love, I'm sorry, but changing one part of the story will affect the other parts I try to avoid major changes, especially in older chapters, but for the newer ones there will probably be more fine tuning. As for anyone invested in the story who is not happy with the way the story is going, feel free to DM me so I can get feedback. I want to know how you guys feel about the story, what changes I can make, at what point in the story I may have lost you. But until I get specific feedback, I won't know what changes might need to be made. There are about 14 chapters left for Part 2 of Chimera, give or take. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can. Warm Regards, Daniel --- Cover art credit goes to Brosedesignz, who has an awesome selection of both premade and custom book covers at great prices on her website. New Paris [a Modern-day LitRPG]
New Paris [OR] I reincarnated into the world of my favorite wuxia novel as an S ranker with unbalanced skills. [Volume 1] - Completed I was one of those people who only stood out in a crowd when their name was called. Then, I died. But instead of heaven, hell, or anything else, I found myself in the body of a young woman whom I did not recognise at first. You see, I had this novel I was obsessed with. The novel was a fairly popular wuxia that got a few sequels, and a handful of spinoffs. One of these spinoffs took place in Paris, where the main cast fought against a multi-millionaire villain. When I woke up after dying, I eventually realised that I was now the third daughter of this multi-millionaire end-game boss in a spin-off of a sequel of my favourite novel. Does this make any sense to you? Because it doesn't to me. But I guess I might as well make the most of it now. Just gotta stay away from some of the more unstable main characters and cut all ties with my 'family' to avoid certain death. [Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make. CW: graphic descriptions of violence, swearing, implied child abuse, mention and graphic description of suicide
