Fan's POV:
Day 13.
Nothing new has happened the past two days, except Lightbulb, Pickle, have gotten new experiments done on them. They just had the brain surgery thing.
I also noticed that Lightbulb seemed... happier again. She was still pretty quiet, but she was eating now, and ocassionally she would start a conversation.
Maybe Balloon was able to come through to her somehow.
I had also just finished getting a procedure done on me, the same surgery as Lightbulb and Pickle. I was on my way back to what I call the "box room."
I finally got to experience that physical pain of the surgeries, and unfortunately, the pain of death. It was horrible. I got recovered, but honestly, I would've prefered not to be recovered after that experience.
As I made my way through the hall with Cobs following behind me, I reminded myself about the plan I had made after Mic's punishment.
Right... grab the acid without anyone noticing...
I prepared myself to go out with the plan as soon as I walked in the doors.
The doors opened and I quickly pretended to trip, holding myself up against the counter and quickly grabbing the vial of acid in the process.
I was tempted to splash the acid into Cobs' face, but I decided I was better than that. And besides, that could mess up the escape.
I fake apologized and quickly got up, hiding the vial. I was shoved into my box and almost spilled the acid, but managed to keep it from spilling.
Cobs exited the room to go get everything set up for the next experiment.
I sighed with relief.
Step one of the plan complete.
Now I just have to wait for the right time.

Balloon's POV:
I watched Fan trip and fall against the counter... But... I could see in his eyes that something was up.
Is he planning something?
Whatever it is, hopefully it will get us out of here and hopefully he doesn't get caught. I leaned over to Fan once he was in his box.
"What was that about?" I whispered once Cobs left the room.
Fan glanced and looked a little surprised at first. "Huh? Oh-" he muttered.
"Umm..." Fan began to stutter over his words a bit.
"I just tripped-" Fan shrugged awkwardly.
He's a really bad liar.
"C'mon Fan. Spill." I said. Fan sighed.
"Ok... But don't tell anyone else... I dont want to get their hopes up in case it doesn't work... but..."
Fan held up a small vial, hiding it behind his hand so nobody else would see.
I recognized it as the acid that Cobs had spilled on his arm.
Did he really manage to sneak that?!
"Hopefully if I time this right... I can use it to help us escape." Fan whispered.
This... actually isn't too bad of an idea...
"Well... Can I help?" I asked. Fan glanced at me. "Well I don't see why not!" He said smiling. "I could use the extra help, I'm not quite sure exactly how I'm gonna use the acid to escape yet... I just figured it could be useful." He said quietly.

I smiled at him. Then the doors opened and Fan hid the vile again. Cobs walked in and opened OJ's box, then took him out of the room.
I was concerned for OJ. He hasn't been thinking straight lately and it only seems to have gotten worse.
Suddenly Cobs came back in again.
But he only left a minute ago...
He then walked over to my box and opened it. My eyes widened and I was extremely confused and worried.
Fan looked at me, also looking just as confused.
Cobs grabbed my arm suddenly and I jumped. He then dragged me out of the room and through that familiar place where I had gotten my arm cut off.
I was then thrown into another room. I sat up. "I'm going to be testing how OJ reacts to other people in his current state." Cobs said before slamming and locking the door.
Huh-?
I turned around and noticed OJ curled up in the farthest corner of the room. He was muttering something to himself.
I just stared not knowing what to say. Honestly, I was a bit scared.
OJ and I never really did have the best relationship, he didn't seem to like me much.
"Um... H-hey..." I said quietly to OJ. He quickly looked up at me and I flinched at the sudden movement. He just stared at me. It made me extremely uncomfortable.
Everything was silent for a while.
Then suddenly, with no warning, OJ jumped up and tackled me to the ground
I screamed and tried to push him off of me, but he was abnormally strong.
What happened to him!?
He then stomped on my leg and I heard a snap. A jolt of pain rushed through my body and I felt my eyes well up.
I struggled and managed to free my arm. I punched him across the face out of instinct and he fell backwards off of me with his hands on one eye.
That's not the OJ I know.
He quickly retaliated and tried to tackle me again but I rolled to the side and he stumbled, then hit the wall. I tried to stand up but fell back down when I felt another jolt of pain from my leg.
It looked broken and every movement caused extreme pain. OJ then tackled me again and I had to block him with my arm to prevent him from injuring me further.
I could see that his eyes were filled with rage and violence... but also fear. I could tell that he didn't want to do this deep down, but whatever Cobs had done to him had changed him almost completely.
"Cmon OJ! Y-you're better than this!" I yelled, trying to bring out any part of him that wasn't violent. It made no change.
My arm was beginning to get tired so I kicked him off of me with my leg that wasnt broken. He fell backwards and hit the ground hard, juice spilling out everywhere. A large crack formed in the side of his head and a few pieces chipped off in the process.
I gasped. I didnt mean to hurt him. I sat up and noticed that he seemed unconcious. I cautiously reached over and poked him.

No reaction.
He was still breathing, which was good, but he was definitely unconcious. The juice was spilled out completely now. I noticed it looked slightly different than normal. It was tinted a bit.
I touched it a bit and it burned my hand a bit. I flinched and pulled back.
Something was added into it.
I looked at OJ. He looked calmer than before, even though he was unconcious.
After a while Cobs came back in and took us both out without saying a word. OJ was tossed into his box, and he jolted awake.
"Wh- Huh???" He said with a worried and confused tone in his voice. He was speaking normally. He hadn't been speaking normally beforehand, only mumbling gibberish. He rubbed his head where I had accidentally cracked it.
I was then tossed into my box as well. I accidentally landed on my hurt leg and heard another crack. I cried out in pain and put my hand on my leg.
Cobs left again without saying a word.
Lightbulb and Fan were both looking at me with a worried look on their faces. "What happened?" Lightbulb asked quietly.
"I- um... OJ kinda... he broke my leg I think..." I mumbled.
"You ? I think it's pretty obvious that it's broken." Fan said. I shrugged and flinched when I accidentally moved my hurt leg a bit.
"I hope it heals alright..." Lightbulb mumbled. "I doubt it will heal normally... I dont have a cast or anything." I said.
"We'll have to wait until it at least heals enough that you can move before we can go out with the plan. I told Lightbulb about it but nobody else..." Fan whispered. "I figured out how we can use the acid but we'll need to wqit for the right time."
I nodded then sighed.
This might be a while...

Paintbrush's POV:
I was finally able to stand up and walk around, but it was annoying with the shackle on my leg.
It was starting to irritate my skin. It felt raw and sore around my ankle due to it rubbing it every time I moved.
I didnt care though. I just paced around as far as I could and when I got tired I would just sit against the wall.
There were old sandwiches scattered around the room now. I refused to eat anything given to me by Cobs.
Though I was hungry, I'd rather not risk it. I would drink the water though, only because those were sealed and it would be hard to sneak anything into it without it being noticed.
I tugged at the shackle trying to pull it off, but it didnt budge. It was tight around my ankle.
I sighed. But then I had an idea. I could use the water I was given to rust the chains and possibly weaken them enough to break.
It would take a while, but hopefully it would work. Once the shackle is off, or at least the chain is broken, I could wait for the next time Cobs comes in and escape.
Perfect.
Now I just wait...

Test Tube's POV:
We were sitting on the couch and MePad had drawn a map of what the place looked like. It would help us find a way in easier. He's written down the most highly guarded places as well.
"My abilities to teleport aren't as strong in the lab, so I can teleport in, but I cant teleport back out. That's why i cant just teleport straight in and get them out. So we need to find the safest route if we are going to do this." MePad said.
That might make things harder.
I glanced at MePhone and he was just staring intently at the paper. He looked kind of stressed. He probably doesn't want to go to that lab.
Then I noticed something. The Lighting was different...
I recognized the color, it seemed like it was coming through the window.
A red light...?
I gasped with realization. "WE HAVE TO GO N-"
The door was then blasted opened, ramming into MePhone and slamming him into the wall. It happened so fast that he didn't even have the time to scream.
I gasped and turned my head to face the door. In walked Cobs with that familiar MePhone following behind him. MePhoneX
"I knew I would find you eventually MePhone4. You couldn't hide forever." Cobs said with a grin on his face.
MePhone was on the floor and looked like he was struggling to get up, but he looked severely injured. MePad looked terrified.
Cobs then turned to look at me and I took a couple steps back.
"And hello Test Tube, your friends seem to miss you. Sure would be nice of you to pay them a visit." he spoke, still smiling.
Only one thought went through my mind in that moment.
Run.
I took off running into the kitchen and pried open the window.
I climbed out as fast as possible and stumbled a bit. I then felt something grab my leg and I fell to the ground and it pulled me backwards, dragging me along the ground.
I struggled to find anything I could grab and managed to grab onto a small shrub that was nearby.
I felt that familiar feeling of getting shocked again and almost let go, but fought through the pain.
I took out the first thing I could grab out of the small bag on my shoulder and pulled out a makeshift tazer I had made.
I clicked the button and jabbed it onto the arm of MePhoneX, who was the one who grabbed me, and it immediately let go.
I scrambled to my feet and sprinted as fast as I could. My lungs were burning and my feet ached, but I couldn't afford to stop now.
I finally managed to outrun MePhoneX. I was basically just running on adrenaline at this point.
I stopped to catch my breath.
I can't believe I just left them for dead...
I sat down and covered my head.
I'm not going to let anyone else get taken.
This time, I'm getting them back for real.

The Kind Devil
Five veteran players of the old-fashioned but outdated VRMMO game, Orge's Bone, meet in the game for one last time before leaving forever. As real life friends, they were torn apart by certain matters, and now decided to say goodbye in the way they know best; a free for all battle royale. However, little do they know that fate has a twist to spin. As they fight it out in a folorn map, they stumble upon a secret teleport gate. Out of curioisity, they all enter it. They find a world more graphicly advanced than the current number one game, and NPCs that really don't act like they should. The game settings are similar to Orge's Bone; there are no levels, only physical strenght gains, which is gained by killing monsters and completing quests. They treat the hidden world as their greenhouse– a place to retreat when the real world treats them unfairly. But after a while, they discover no everything is as it seems– that the hidden world is far more dangerous. Michael is a cultivator whose goal in life is to change the tragic martial world, where killing is like breathing, into a land of peace. It will center a lot around how he'll change the perspectives of those around him, and how he tries to draft more cultivators to his cause, starting with the toughest nut to crack, the ruthless, bloodthirsty and easily-triggered Rector. Last but not least, with how he is met by the greatest tragedy and is forced to make the hardest choice.
8 142Verdant Heart Seed - A Reverend Insanity fan-fiction
Back in the Late Antiquity Era, the protagonist meets his untimely demise. But Heaven and Earth always leaves a way out, his new cultivation journey begins anew on the path of reclaiming his former strength and defying Fate.---This is a story about a native cultivator of the Gu world. He lived in the era of/before Spectral Soul Demon Venerable (two venerable eras before the main RI plot). He suffered the rise of the demon venerable, barely able to make his arrangements before his death. He manages to rebirth, but doesn't everything go as planned. The story starts off in an isolated small word (grotto heaven), until the MC can grow and reclaim his former glory, before surpassing it. (long way, he was already rank 8 before) The MC has a pragmatic worldview, aligned with what you would expect from someone living hundreds of years in that kind of hostile environment. He doesn't shy away from immoral acts if it benefits him. The MC bears close resemblance to Fang Yuan in this regard, but his goal is not eternal life. One of my aims was to showcase the later introduced cultivation rules into the mortal cultivation (dao marks, attainment etc.) and explore novel scenarios within this highly technical cultivation environment.

In order to find these Earth Nodes, he must use the services of the female Diabolists (night witches) who can sense the magic from long distances. Only, Diabolists are extremely rare and there is a psychopathic killer out there who wants them all dead. After losing one Diabolist to fate, Oren must protect his new asset from those who would hunt her down and kill her so he can find enough magic to complete his quest. However, he is not the only wizard left looking for Diabolists, Diabolists have minds of their own, and, according to him, everyone Oren comes in contact with is a sidewinding, low down, scoundrel. No, I have not abandoned this story! I was hit hard by the economic downturn and high gas prices. I had to change careers and I am Just now starting to write again. Chapters coming.

It is supposed to be relatively relaxed for the most part. Any constructive criticism is welcome. My updates will be slower than a snail and my chapters are relatively short so deal with it please and don't murder me. Romance should come in later. Thank you~
