"Call that jackass, Yuna." Taehyung said to her sister and she giggled before going.

Minutes later, you saw a familiar figure approaching you.

"Oh?!" Both of you exclaimed at the same time.

"Jungkooka!" You cooed.

"Frog-faced!" He said dramatically and hugged you tightly.

"Do you guys know each other already?" Taehyung asked standing up and both of you chortled and nodded.

"He's my best friend for 10 years, Mr. Kim." You told.

"I see." Taehyung mumbled.

"That's just great! He's Taehyung's cousin too. He is son of my sister." Mrs. Kim told.

"He'll be working with Taehyung now. As you might be knowing, he was in USA for 2 years." Mr. Kim added.

"Let's have dinner, everyone!" Mrs. Kim announced and all of you proceeded to Dining table.

2 Maids arrived and set the plates. Then, they brought all the dishes one by one. Finally, they served dinner.

Not gonna lie but the food tasted heavenly. Your taste buds just did backflips all the time while eating the food.

"Did you like the food Noona?" Soo Hyun asked coming to you.

He seemed just a few years younger than Taehyung and yet he was so adorable, unlike his brother. He seemed to be in his early 20s.

"I loved it Soo Hyuna!" You said and ruffled his hair.

"What about the dessert Unnie?" Yuna enquired.

"Of course! I loved it too." You smiled.

All of you talked for hours and laughed a lot. Jungkook told about his funny yet treasuring memories with you. You were having a great time.

But one thing bothered you constantly. Mr. Kim! He didn't talk at all nor did he laugh. You wondered why.

"Y/n, will you please come with me for a minute?" Mrs. Kim asked and you immediately got up and followed her.

She took you to the terrace where lay a set of sofa. Both of you sat down.

"Y/n, do you really love my Taehyung? Be honest." She said making you all nervous.

"Look, he's so precious to me. I know he seems cranky and rude but trust me, he's a heart of gold. He'll treasure you forever." She added.

"I anticipate you two must be happy with each other that both of you are in a relationship for 5 years. Please support him. He hides his feelings because he's a very insecure kind of guy. I want you to make him feel so loved that he opens up to you." She said.

"Mrs. Kim-" You got cut off in between.

"Actually, I don't have a lot of time. I've breast cancer. I might not live for too long. That's why I want you to marry him asap." She told and you were shattered.

"Oh my god. Mrs. Kim, he never told me anything about this." You said with widened eyes.

"He doesn't even know about this. I can't tell him. He won't be able to take it. He'll just get shattered into pieces." She said and a tear rolled down her eye.

"I want you to love him and take care of him after I'm gone. And please, don't tell about this to him." She said joining her hands. A helpless tear left your eyes.

"Mrs. Kim, you should tell him. He's the right to know. He'll not be able to endure when he'll get know." You begged her crying.

"I- I can't. You shall not tell him at all costs. My child is very sensitive. If he breaks down, Yuna and Soo Hyun will also be shattered." She cried helplessly.

"F-fine. I'll marry him." You promised her taking her hands in yours.

"T-thank you so much. I can't express how relieved I feel. I'll never be able to thank you enough with words." She said wiping her tears and you nodded.

Minutes later, both of you walked out of the room. You went to where everyone was. Reaching there, you sat beside Taehyung.

"I need to talk to you." You whispered in his ear.

"Later." He replied coldly.

"Fine!" You glared and got up.

"Kook, would you please drive me home?" You asked plopping beside him and he immediately side-hugged you.

"Of course, my precious frog." He said kissing your forehead and you smiled.

"Let's go. I'm tired." You said faintly.

"Are you alright Y/n?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'll just bid goodbye to Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Let's go then." You said and went.

"I'll drop her. You stay here." Taehyung said to Jungkook.

"Hyung, you can rest. I'll go." He said.

"I said I'll go." Taehyung said coldly and Jungkook couldn't disobey.

"What's wrong with you Mr. Kim?" You asked while he continued to drive.

"Would you please speak up?" You said again.

"I'm not in a mood to talk." He said.

"What's bothering you?" You asked.

"Nothing." He said.

"I know you, Mr. Kim. Tell me." You forced.

He pulled the brakes and stopped the car on the side of the road.

"I don't like the proximity you and Jungkook share." He said staring at the road.

"Huh?" You asked in disbelief.

"You were never nice to me, the way you are to him. You didn't bother my existence in his presence." He added.

"Mr. Kim, he's my best friend and we met after ages. You should understand." You said in small.

"And I'm your boss. You've been working with me for 8 years yet you're so formal with me." He commented.

"Why are you being like this?" You asked.

"I can't stand any man close to you. Get this in your mind." He said bringing his face close to yours.

"A-alright." You stammered and he leaned in. His hot breath fanned your lips.

Suddenly, he came out of the trance and realized what was about to happen. He began to drive again and soon you reached your place.

"See you tomorrow Taehyung." You smiled at him and he nodded.

He drove off and you entered your apartment. After washing up, you changed your clothes.

You still couldn't digest what his mother told you. You felt extremely bad for him. You felt like you were doing wrong by not telling him. You pitied him.

He was a real man! A gentleman! He was what a girl all wishes for. He respected women. He was kind to all his employees. He was so down to earth even after being a rich man.

You unconsciously began to cry thinking about him. He didn't deserve it. Not at all! Heavens shouldn't be so mean to him.

Also, you remembered about your promise. You were against marrying but you couldn't help in front of a begging mother.

But how'll you tell your siblings? How'll they react? Will they agree to this marriage? What if they don't? How'll you fulfill your promise?
