Another wave of sharp branches attacked (y/n). He could only attempt to dodge, but it wasn't of any use. He still received cuts.

The wooden balls disappeared, and Hanami lept at him, grabbing poor (y/n) by the face, making roots appear behind him and slamming his head on them. Before dragging it on the ground, and throwing him some meters away.

He did his best to stand up. He couldn't use his right arm for obvious reasons.

Barely standing up, (y/n) did his best to ignore the pain while focusing on Hanami, as the curse approached him.

More roots appeared as (y/n) overused palm strikes to redirect them, inflicting more pain on his burnt palm, since dodging was not an option because his right arm would still get hurt as it felt weak to move and barely did it.

(y/n) focused a large quantity of Cursed Energy on his left arm, but more on the fist. Leaping at Hanami and sending a critical blow to the curse's body. Sending it flying through many trees. With a hole on its stomach.

Hanami: What was that? Was it his cursed energy?... No. It was more than that

(y/n): That hurt.

(y/n)'s fist was steaming. The hole on Hanami's torso was quick to close

Todo: "Surprising."

Even more, roots appeared surrounding (y/n). But were destroyed by him using 'kaboom', this time putting more cursed energy out of it.

But the main problem with that ability of his is that when used, he enters a sort of cooldown mode, not being able to use cursed energy via the extremity he used, thanks to it altering the flow of it by releasing it so suddenly. The other parts of his body also are affected but to a lesser extent, only causing the abilities used, whether it would be 'bang' or 'pew' or others, causing them to have a decrease of its power.

So thanks to the 'cooldown', another root appeared behind him, and (y/n) attempted to palm strike it, but it failed, whipping him into a tree.

Hanami began to make its way towards him.

Mai: "(y/n)!"

Hanami was just in front of him, looming over the blindfolded student. But before the curse could do something to him, a bullet hit its head, making a crack on it.

Hanami turned around to face who had sent the attack, spotting Mai aiming her revolver at it, with a bloody nose.

Miwa: "Mai-chan!"

Mai: "Now move, you blind bastard."

(y/n): "I'm not blind..."

He found the bullet laying by some small flowers, taking the opportunity that Hanami had its back on (y/n), putting his cursed energy on his left hand, and flicked the bullet, sending it straight at the curse. Going through its head.

Hanami fell on its knees, not making any movement. (y/n) stood up and walked next to Mai, both of them looking at the corpse and then to each other.

Mai: "Is it... dead?"

(y/n): "I suppose."

Mai: "You need to stop doing these things. You're going to get yourself killed."

(y/n): "I'll be fine."

Mai: "What do you mean fine?! Have you taken a look at yourself! Look at the state you're in!"

(y/n) was covered in dirt, water, blood, and sweat. His right shoulder had a hole on it and his clothes were filled with cuts.

He was surprised by Mai's sudden outburst.

(y/n): "I'm... sorry"

Mai: "Don't even say sorry."

(y/n): "Do you perhaps... Care for me?"

He said in a cheery voice, earning a slight blush from Mai.

Mai: "Of course not! I couldn't care less about a blind idiot!"

(y/n): "I'm not blind!"

Before they could continue their argument, Hanami suddenly stood up and tried to grab (y/n)'s face but just before it could get a hold of it, the curse's arm suddenly disintegrated, along with some parts of its torso, and was sent flying.

(y/n): "That was close."

Mai: "how did you..."

Just before she could continue, footsteps were heard behind (y/n). Turning his head around he saw Megumi, with his jet-black blade and a three-section staff connection by three rings and chains.

Megumi: "You look like shit."

(y/n): "What are you doing here?"

Megumi: "Lending a hand."

(y/n): "I thought I told you to-"

Megumi: "I don't care. You'll end up dead. Even Mai-san had to intervene to save you"

(y/n): "Not fun."

Itadori: "Why can Megumi fight but not us!"

Todo: "Don't get impatient."

Megumi: "This weapon is from Maki-senpai, but since she isn't here, you'll have to use it. Be careful to not break it."

(y/n): "Playful cloud?"

Megumi: "How do you-"

(y/n): "I only have one arm you know?"

Megumi: "You can use my blade, although I hate using this."

(y/n): "Meh. Give it."

Megumi: "Sure?"

(y/n): "Of course."

Megumi passed Playful cloud to (y/n), and he grabbed it from one of the ends.

(y/n): "Let's get the curse! Although I suggest, you stay a bit far from me, I wouldn't like to hit you."

They both ran at Hanami, the curse preparing for the fight. Both (y/n) and Megumi engaged Hanami. Megumi used his Skigami and blade to attack and distract the curse while (y/n) hit and used Playful cloud to deliver fatal blows.

Hanami couldn't get the slightest chance to defend itself, hits coming from every direction. Making it impossible for the curse to even try and block one. Plus, the attacks with Playful cloud were devastating, and dealt a high amount of damage.

Megumi's Nue appeared and struck Hanami with thunder, while (y/n) hit the curse on the back of its right knee, making it kneel.

Using Megumi's angle advantage, (y/n) passed Playful Cloud to him, striking the curse on the head. Sending it flying to some trees. Megumi then gave back the weapon to (y/n).

Megumi: "I would prefer if you kept it."

(y/n): "Scared of some sticks?"

Megumi: "I hate to use it."

They continued to go at it. Dodging every attack Hanami sent and striking back. But as the fight progressed, but (y/n)'s attacks weren't the same as they were earlier, his ability to control his own cursed energy was beginning to falter, the cause of this being that he wasn't used to using the amount of cursed energy he used on the event.

Megumi also began to notice the failures on (y/n). Having to constantly dodge the incoming attacks from him, since he failed to properly use Playful Cloud and would almost hit him when hitting Hanami.

Megumi: "Are you sure you're okay."

(y/n): "of course... I'm just a little dizzy... I'll be fine."

Megumi: "Then can you stop trying to hit me?"

(y/n): "you're the one getting in front of my attacks. Don't try to blame me."

A wave of roots began to attack them, they did their best to dodge but one of them got Megumi, sending him into some bushes. (y/n) luckily did manage to evade them, but didn't notice Hanami quickly approaching.

The curse grabbed (y/n) by the head and ran into some trees, before slamming it on the ground, to then send him to some bushes. (y/n) being limp.

Todo: "This is when you strike, brother."

Itadori: "Alright! Wait, what about you?"

Todo: "I won't intervene unless you hit a black flash."

Itadori: "Right."

He then jumped into action, seeing as Megumi and (y/n) weren't able to continue fighting.

Mai and Miwa ran at (y/n)'s aid. Seeing how he didn't react to anything they said to him. Grabbing his head and treating his wounds, but still, there was no reaction.

Nakatomi (y/n) was dead.

No, not really, he's perfectly fine, he just likes the attention he is receiving.

Mai: "Wake up or I'll shoot you!"

(y/n): "I'm up!"

Mai: "When will you learn to not do stupid things like that!"

(y/n): "I'm fine... I just needed to lay for a bit. I need to get back there."

Mai: "No! YOU'LL STAY HERE! YOU CAN'T GO BACK AND KEEP FIGHTING, YOU'LL DIE! SO, YOU'RE GONNA STAY HERE, UNTIL TODO AND ITADORI TAKE CARE OF THE CURSE, YOU'LL NOT ENTER THE FIGHT AGAIN BY ANY MEANS! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!"

(y/n): "yes ma'am"

Even Miwa was surprised by Mai.

Suddenly, the veil above them disappeared.

Itadori: "The veil!"

Miwa: "Who's that?"

Up in the sky, the figure of a person could be seen. It was none other than Gojo Satoru, which was now not wearing his blindfold.

Back with Juzo and Principal Yoshinobu, they both watched as the veil disappeared. Juzo stared at the sky as he spotted Satoru.

Juzo: "Hey, hey, hey, hey! I can see that slick coat rack now!"

Satoru: "So... Where should I start?"

Itadori: "huh?"

Hanami: Tch. Looks like this is as far as we go.

Itadori: "huh? Gojo-sense?!"

Satoru moved his head as he watched Hanami and the other students.

Satoru: Looks like (y/n) took a beating... How strange. Yuji and Aoi seem to be fighting the special grade, but I shouldn't be worried about them now. Which means my priority should be... "you"

He suddenly appeared where Juzo and Principal Yoshinobu were, a thing that excited the curse user. Instantly turning around and swinging his ax.

Juzo: "Rack! Rack! Rack!"

Principal Yoshinobu: "Don't kill him!"

Suddenly, the arms and legs from Juzo twisted in ways that aren't humanly possible, blood spilling from them and him being sent to one of the stone lanterns.

Satoru: "We have a lot to ask this guy. Don't let him die on us. Go on, treat him."

He ordered Principal Yoshinobu, angering him.

Satoru: The guy near Utahime disappeared. Guess he found a means to escape. That just leaves that one? One adept at running, too. It's some distance from the students. "Oh, well. Guess I'll be a little rough"
