I was in my room doing some work when the door bell rang and I walked out to check who could it be.

Y/n's mind - " Is it binnie?......but why would he come in the morning."

I opened the door

and was surprised to see

Taehyung.

But I somehow expected him to come one day or the other,so it was not that big of a surprise.

As soon as he saw me, he hugged me, I didn't pushed him back but didn't hugged him back either,we know the reason of course.

He entered the house by himself and sat on the couch as if he had come here after doing some hard labour work.

Y/n's mind - " So finally it's the confrontation time!"

I sat in front of him and he instantly became serious.

Tae - " Y/n, why are you living here?"

Y/n mind - " No Mr.Kim, it's my time to ask questions now."

Y/n - " When did you came back from your 'buisness trip'.

I said blankly.

He wasn't expecting me to ask him a question in return of the question but he still answered.

Tae - " Last night."

I internally scoffed at the fact that he is still lying.

He was about to ask something again but I asked one more question.

Y/n - " What did you told, where you went for this buisness trip."

I asked as if I genuinely forgot.

He was confused at my interrogation.

Tae - " U.S."

Y/n's mind - " Ok done!"

Y/n - " How long are you planning to lie Taehyung."

He was stunned and was maybe trying to process what I said.

Y/n - " Apartment no.8 in the 'xxx' building..is that the U.S you are talking about."

His eyes widened and his face suddenly became pale.

Y/n's mind - " Hmph! What he thought of me? A naive girl who wouldn't come to know about the truth."

Y/n - " Is Ms. Rose, the Mr. Dawson you wanted to have some discussions with."

He lowered his head obviously in guilt.

He was silent and his silence was making me angry.

Y/n's mind - " Why does he always become silent when I ask him for an explanation?"

Y/n - " Huh? "

I said furiously.

Tae - " I am s-sorry y/n..I -"

He said with a lowered head.

Y/n - " I don't need your apologies.....keep it with you....just explain me why you lied to me , why you cheated on me?"

My tone was furious than before.

He immediately shot up his head and looked at me shocked as if I said something very wrong.

Tae - " I-I never c-cheated on you y/n."

I scoffed

Y/n - " Oh...so you still want to play this game."

He shook his head.

Y/n - " If you are not cheating,

then why did you lied to me that I am going to U.S when you was in Seoul with a girl...

if you are not cheating,

then why I saw you in the cafe with a girl when you told me that I am at work,

if you are not cheating

then why were you always late from work,

if you are not cheating then why you were not coming home for some days.

if you are not cheating then

why suddenly your phone has a password...

if you are cheating then,

why you tell some 'Rose' on the phone that no one will come to know about you both

If you are not cheating then,

why were you suddenly so cold and distant towards me."

My voice literally came out as a whisper at the end because of the endless tears that started flowing.

He was not ready to admit his mistake, neither he is giving any explanation which is making me cry and me being on periods wasn't helping at all.

He looked panicked listening to my words and looking at my state.

He tried coming close to me but I stopped him showing my palm.

Tae - " Y-Y/n, p-please stop crying."

He said softly and worriedly.

Y/n - " stop changing the topic....and give me the explanation if you have any....otherwise there is the door you can leave."

I said sternly with my non-stop tears.

Tae - " I-I will explain...please stop crying."

Y/n - " THEN,EXPLAIN."

Tae - " O-ok.....y/n the girl you saw, you are right her name is Rose."

Y/n - " That's not the explanation I am looking for."

I said trying to wipe tears.

Tae - " S-she is married."

I gasped

Y/n - " It means she is also cheating on her husband."

Tae - " No,no..y/n please listen, she wants divorce from her husband."

Y/n - " Oh okay, so she can be with you, so what now....you want me to give you divorce to-"

I said sarcastically.

Tae - " Y/n, please let me finish."

Y/n - " Then why are you beating around the bush..come straight to the POINT."

My mood swings were taking charge right now.

Tae - "Ok...but please let me finish first."

He took a deep breath and resumed his 'story telling'🙄

Tae - " Y/n, she is my very good college friend....she has an abusive and cheater husband....so she wants to divorce him but her husband doesn't want to."

I was confused as what this has to do with our situation but I let him finish.

Tae - " Her husband is a powerful man with some political connections...so no lawyer is ready to help her fight a case against him."

At that time I forgot what was our situation and got interested in this Rose's story.

Tae - " So she decided that she will fight her own case, but she doesn't have any knowledge of law."

Then he pause for a second and said.

Tae - " Y/n, I have studied law as well.....so she approached me to guide her for this case.....she told me not to tell this to anyone not even family because if his husband comes to know it would not be a good thing......so we needed to meet sneakily........I came late from work because I had to do the office work, meet her as well as analyse her case."

He stared at me for some seconds to know if I understood what he explained.

His eyes showed that he is being honest but I still had many doubts.

Y/n - " What about this fake buisness trip?"

Tae - " Today, she would be fighting the case in the court....so for last three days she told me to stay extra careful.....and I felt many times that I have been followed.....so I thought it's not good to go home because if not me they can harm you.....so I tried to stay at my apartment and for last three days I stayed there completely, so that I don't have to come home."

I am still not completely convinced and I think he saw that in my eyes

Tae - " Y/n, I-I am telling the truth..trust me."

His voice broke at the end.

My tears which stopped for a while started flowing again.

Y/n - " But you like her right?"

Tae - " What? Noo she is just a friend."

Y/n - " She was in a vulnerable state so you both became close and then unintentionally things accelerated right?"

He angrily looked looked at me

Tae - " NOTHING HAPPENED LIKE THAT....WHY ARE YOU SO ADAMANT AT BELIEVING I CHEATED ON YOU."

He shouted.

My tears...I can't even call them tears anymore they became waterfall.

Y/n - " Because I saw you both."

I said slowly looking down

He looked at me with a confused face.

Tae - " What you saw?"

My tears were choking me but I still managed to speak.

Y/n - " I saw you h-hovering over h-her while s-she was laying on the bed."

Tae - " What are you saying...this never happened."

I looked at him with my teary red eyes.

Y/n - " You are saying I was hallucinating.....I saw it with my eyes."

Tae - " When?"

He said frustrated.

Y/n - " on the very same day you left."

He pushed his hair back tensely and come towards me holding my hand and squatting in front.

Tae - " Nothing happened y/n."

He said softly.

Y/n - " B-but I saw."

He looked down and closed his eyes still holding my hand.

Then he suddenly raised his head.

Tae - " In the evening right? In my apartment room?"

I nodded.

Tae - " Y/n....I remember now...t-that was an accident we tripped and I accidentally fall on top of her...didn't you saw what happened afterwards?"

I widened my eyes

I suddenly felt so guilty.

So I tried to avoid his eye contact.

Y/n - " I was shocked at what I saw s-so quickly backed off and ran away."

He sighed.

Tae - " Y/n please believe m-"

Y/n - " I believe you."

He was relieved and tried to smile but his smile faded at my next words

Y/n - " B-but taehyung, let's divorce."
