I was currently in my office cabin and I was rushing because I think I am running late.

For what ??

Well since I agreed to meet for the marriage proposal.

Dad and Mr. Kim decided to meet for a dinner in a restaurant,

so I have to go there....

I have told Lisa that I have to go for dinner with my family so she has already left..

I haven't told her or anyone else about this marriage thing yet.

I entered the restaurant, got to know about our table from the reception and rushed towards the table...

I saw my parents sitting at the table with three people sitting across from them, I couldn't see their faces because their back was facing me....

I walked towards them.

Y/n - "Sorry for being late."

Dad - " Oh..you are here !"

I saw a couple of my parents' age sitting across from them..

and yeah he is Mr.Kim,

I recognized him..Along with them was a young man who would probably be of my age..I bowed to all three of them and sat down.

Dad - " Y/n ,this is Mr. and Mrs. Kim."

Y/n - " Good evening Mr .and Mrs.Kim"

Mr. and Mrs.Kim - "Good evening dear."

Mr. Kim - " Y/n...this is my son Taehyung and Taehyung this is Y/n"

Y/n - " Nice to meet you Taehyung ssi".

I greeted politely.

Tae - " Same here y/n ssi."

He replied with a small smile

Y/n's mind - " ok, so he is good looking actually very good looking....a great thing".

Tae's mind - " Good....She is very beautiful,I just need a wife and I think she is beautiful enough to stand beside a handsome man like me.....I have no problem with this marriage....I just hope she is not too much to handle"

Mrs Kim - " Y/n, you look beautiful dear...I am very happy that you considered this proposal."

Y/n - " Thank you Mrs .Kim"

Mrs Kim - "Oh dear, drop the formalities...you can call us aunt and uncle....I wouldn't even mind if you call us mom and dad "

She chuckled

Y/n 's mind -" Woahhh WHAT!! ...that's too fast ".

I just gave her an awkward smile.

Tae's mind - " why is eomma being so cringe ??"

Mom - " Let's order some food, then we can continue our discussions."

Dad - " yeah, yeah sure."

Our food came and all of us started eating.....

Dad also told them about his plan of merging the companies and they were very happy with that.

Mrs Kim - " So y/n you don't want to be the CEO or COO of the company?"

Y/n - " Actually aunt, I don't wanted to do business ,I want to work in the fashion department...but I know there would be too much pressure if our companies merge so I would provide help if needed but I don't want any post."

Mr.Kim - "Don't worry dear our current COO and Taehyung would manage that"

I just gave him a smile

Mom - " Oh!! Why are we talking about business it's not a business meeting, let's talk about their marriage."

Mrs Kim - " Well..I think you guys should exchange numbers "

Mom - " You guys should also plan a date or something, it would help you to know each other more "

Y/n's mind - " What nonsense mom, I don't want to go on a date with him...

no wait..

I need to tell him some things and ask some things as well...

I think I need a date with him "

Tae's mind -" What ?? Date?....why these stupid formalities?

why do I need to know her we are going to marry anyways?

what's the need to know each other beforehand?

I would know her after marriage......

Wait, don't tell me this marriage is not confirmed from their side....

.are they here to judge me if I am good enough or not...

are they planning to reject me if I am not good enough for them..

Mom - " Taehyung, you are willing to go on a date with her right?"

Tae - " Oh yes aunt...we will go on a date"

Tae 's mind - " SHIT"

After completing the dinner me and Taehyung exchanged our numbers and

decided to have a date in a cafe tomorrow evening.

so far he was being all nice and good .

I was in sitting on my chair working and Lisa was on the couch checking some files

Then suddenly the door opened and Dahyun entered all smiley- smiley

Actually I called Dahyun over because I wanted to tell her and Lisa about the marriage proposal.

Dahyun - "Hey girls!"

Lisa furrowed her eyebrows and asked in a cold tone

Lisa - "what are you doing here?"

Dahyun - " That's a very good way to greet your friend".

she replied in an annoyed tone and took a seat on the couch.

I also made my way towards the couch and said

Y/n - " I called her, I wanna tell you guys something"

I said and then told them everything from the proposal to the merge of the companies..

I looked at them and they were looking at me with eyes and mouth wide open

Dahyun - " This was "

Lisa - " unexpected"

Dahyun - " What was the name of the guy again?"

She asked

Y/n - "Kim Taehyung "

I told her with furrowed eyebrows.

She took out her phone and showed me a picture.

Dahyun - "Is he the guy?"

I looked at the picture and yes that was him.i gave her a nod.

She gave me wide grin

Dahyun - " He is my hubby's friend"

Y/n - " Is he and Jin oppa friends?"

Dahyun - " yupp....and he is a very nice person y/niee......well,I am up for this marriage."

She said the last part excitedly.

Lisa - " But y/n,you are still moving on....are you seriously considering this."

Y/n - " yeah I am...but don't worry....I will tell him about all this."

Lisa - " That's good."

I was sitting in the cafe waiting for Taehyung and he is fifteen minutes late.

Tae - " Hii.....I am sorry I am late."

He said reaching the table and taking a seat.

Y/n - " Hello....and yeah you are fifteen minutes late."

I said, emphasizing fifteen minutes.

Tae - " Well, you were seventeen minutes late for our dinner last night."

He replied emphasising seventeen.

I secretly rolled my eyes.

Y/n's mind - "Another thing noted- he has kinda cocky personality"

Y/n - " let's order"

Our coffees arrived and until now what we were talking about was business.. .

well he has a good business brain and we have arranged some business meetings for different decisions we are gonna take before merging.

Y/n - "Why did you agreed for an arranged marriage."

I asked out of the blue.

Tae - " Well...I don't believe in love so love marriage was definitely not an option".

He replied straightforwardly.

I gave him a 'oh' face.

Tae - " what is your reason?"

I hesitated a little but then decided to tell him the truth

Y/n - " I had my break up a few days back due to infidelity and I still love him but I want to move on.....also my parents want me to get married."

I said and looked down .

He patted my hand which was on the table and said something which confused me.

Tae - " Don't worry.....you will find someone better than him in future "

I looked up at him said

Y/n - " huh?? You don't want to marry me now?"

His eyes got wide as if he realised something.

Tae - " oh sorry!!"

He awkwardly chucked

"actually that is my standard line to say when someone cries in front of me due to breakup,,I didn't realised and said that "

he again chucked awkwardly.

Y/n - "But I wasn't crying."

I said while giving a ' you are weird' look.

Tae - " But you were sad .......it worked though you don't look sad anymore"

He said the last part with a slightly raised voice.

Y/n - " whatever"

Tae - " btw do you really think marrying me would help you move on.......like I am not a lovey-dovey person and I would definitely not be a great husband, all I want from this relationship is a healthy environment."

Y/n's mind - " ok ....that was quite honest....I like that "

Y/n - " No..I am also not looking for anything else, it's just marriage will help me to look at my future without getting bothered by the past....it would be a strong reason to forget the bad past.🤷"

There was a moment of silence.

Y/n - Btw there is another reason....that working in the fashion department.....this change of my work schedule into something I enjoy would also help me in moving on."

I took a pause

" Don't worry I will not use you to move on"

He shook his head.

Tae - " It's not a worry at all....it would have been a worry,if I loved you or something but since I don't,so even if you use me I would care less"

I gave him a smile.....

We chatted for a little more time and then bid a goodbye to each other.... surprisingly we had enough topics to talk about.

And I think I am up for this marriage, he is a nice, educated guy with similar expectations from this marriage.

I don't have any reason to reject him.
