"Good morning Suhan"Angela, the therapist said as I walked into her office.

"Hi Angela"I sighed as I sat down on the couch next to Shiesty.

"How are you?"

"I'm fine"I said while sitting my purse on the floor in between my feet.

I could feel Lontrell staring at me as he sat back.

"First, have you all ate breakfast?"

I nodded and I'm guessing Shiesty did the same.

"What did you eat Suhan?"

"I had a turkey bacon sandwich from Starbucks and a Strawberry Crème frappuccino"

"That sounds good, how about you Lontrell?"

"Shit I ate two bowls of Cinnamon Toast Crunch after taking a shit"he said and I laughed causing him to chuckle.

"Okay good, I'm glad you both filled your stomachs before showing up"

The reason why she asked about us eating is because on our first day coming which was the other day, we got into a really heated argument and she pointed out that it was mainly because we both hadn't eaten.

Ever since I flipped out my mama last month I went ahead and started going to therapy.

So I have my individual sessions everyday of the week except for Wednesdays.

I've been getting better.

Have I rekindled my relationships with my close ones?

Well my mom yes but Cali, Amir, Andre, and Aaliyah, hell no!

My therapist, Eva, tells me all the time that I need to fix things with them but I've been holding out.

I still need some more time to heal from everything including them.

They went on social media bashing me anyways.

Talm bout I stopped fucking with them but I've really been focusing on myself and my family, what's actually important.

No I have not been drinking a lot lately but I still do my hostings, alone with plenty of security around me.

After I got a month of therapy in alone, Shiesty's therapist, Angela invited me to talk to her about our problems.

I guess he told her about me and she was feeling the kid so she invited me.

Just kidding, but he told her some things about us and she wanted to meet me.

After our argument on Monday, she told us that we'll be attending "couple's therapy" for a while until we both get it together.

"Okay before we start on a scale from one to ten, how are you feeling?"

"Mhm eight"I said.

"Why not a ten?"

"I don't wanna be here"

"Oh so you don't want to be in a relationship with Lontrell anymore is that what you're saying?"

"I didn't say that!"

"Why don't you want to be here?"

"I'm tiirrrred!"

"Okay I understand, how are you feeling on a scale from one to ten Lontrell"

"Shit nine, I'm chillin"

"Good! Why a nine and not a ten?"

"I'm actually tired my damn self"

"Okay well after this hopefully you both can go home and have a great nap"

"Hopefully"Shiesty said.

I looked over at him and we smiled together in sync.

"Okay so you two are here because you both want to be together and live happily ever after but there has been some downfalls in your relationship that led you to where you are now?"

"Yep"I said while looking at my nails.

"I have a question for the both of you before we start. Have you two recently had sex or engaged in some type of sexual activity?"

I looked at Shiesty and we laughed.

"Yea we did, yesterday actually"I said while thinking about how we fucked the shit out of each other on his balcony in broad daylight.

"How do you know?"I asked her.

"I can feel the energy between you two and you both moved a little bit closer to each other"

"No we did not!"I laughed as I lied.

"Yea you did"she said while nodding.

"Oh"I said and Shiesty laughed.

"Alright so I'm gonna give you each ten index cards and I want you both to read the questions from the cards and answer them. So you read and then the both of you answer the question and move on to the next. Get it?"

"Yea, I'll go first"I said while grabbing the first card before reading it.

"What are the biggest problems in our relationship?"

"Okay now Lontrell you answer this first then you Suhan"

"Aight shit the biggest would be my infidelity, secrets, and us never seeing eye to eye"

"Okay and how can you fix these problems, tell her not me"Angela said.

"Shit first I can quit being sneaky and quit hiding shit from you. I can quit being stubborn as hell and understand how you feel from a female's perspective. Then I can quit 'entertaining everybody and they mama"He said quoting me.

I laughed and he shook his head.

"Okay I think that the biggest problems in our relationship are mainly hiding things from each other and always arguing"

"How can you help fix these problems?"

"I can stop waiting to tell you things after they happen and let you know as soon as they happen. With arguing I can't do anything because it's normal but depending on what we're arguing about just like you said, I can understand how you feel from a male's perspective"

"Aight, do you want to stay together?"he read from the card.

"Of course. I love you. You're like my best friend when we're on good terms"I said and he chuckled.

"Hell yeah"he said answering the question.

"Is this a temporary phase or is it something more permanent?"I read.

"Shit on my end it's temporary"Shiesty said and I gasped.

"I'm just playing man, it's permanent fasho"

"You better be playing, it's permanent on my end"

"When did these problems start?"

"In the beginning of our relationship"I said.

"Yea"Shiesty said.

"Alright do you believe we can save our relationship?"

"Hell yea if we put in the work and continue coming to therapy"Lontrell said.

"Yea I think we can"

"Aight do you love me, and if so, I'm what way?"he read to me.

"You know what way I love you in but I really love how when you get to your lowest or start slacking off, you pick that shit up no matter what it is. I love when you're to your highest point and are happy as hell in the presence of your family"

"Aight I love how you got good work ethic, that's one thing I learned from you. I love how you don't ever leave our kids outta nun and you go hard for ya people"

"Okay umm do you trust me?"I asked him after I skipped over one of the questions, it was similar to the one we just answered.

"Yea"

"Okay well why do you always hide stuff from me?"

"Shit sometimes if I be upfront about the shit I fear that you gone leave me"

"I mean if you just tell my why you did what you did and explain me your understanding of what you did then I won't, I just might stay"

"Do I trust you? Yes I do"

"Why you hide shit from me then?"

"I just be scared of what you might do or say"

"Well I'm working on that now with Angela so I ain't gone lash out on you no more, Ima sit down and have a conversation with you about what you did or what happened"

"Are you satisfied with our level of intimacy?"

"Yea I am. We have a great connection with each other when we're actually together and not on bad terms or anything"I said.

"I'm satisfied with it of course, shit when we at our highest point it ain't ever a dull moment. We always laughing, smiling, and showing our love between one another"Shiesty said and I nodded.

"At the moment are you seeing anyone else and do you want to?"

"Nah not at all"he said and I shook my head no.

"Now that I've decided to save my relationship I feel like it's best if I just leave everybody else alone"I said.

"Aight do you feel you can talk to me about anything?"

"Yes I do, now. As long as you listen"

"Same for you"he said and I rolled my eyes.

"Is there anything from our past that still bothers you?"I asked him.

"Nah everything that happened in the past we already burned them bridges hopefully"he said and I nodded in agreement.

"Why do you want this to work out?"he asked me.

"I want this to work out because we have children and a family to raise. I feel like when we're apart our kids aren't themselves. Especially if they see their parents arguing and steady going through constant relationships with other people"

"Yea I feel like if we ain't together then it ain't no hope for them. When we do get back together and are bonding and happy, they used to seeing that so when that ain't happening no more then they probably like 'Oh our parents ain't never gone get back together.' How I know is cause anytime we are apart Sam be the main one going through it. She just be frustrated and then I gotta deal with that and it be too much all at once"Shiesty explained.

I was trynna hold back my tears but I couldn't.

"You need a moment?"Angela asked me and I shook my head Yea.

Shiesty scooted closer to me and hugged me while I just let everything out.

Once I was done I grabbed a tissue and wiped my face.

"Okay I'm ready I just had to get that out, okay what do you expect from our counseling sessions?"

"I expect us to actually learn something and grown from it. Shit this only the beginning we got a whiles to go especially if we looking forward to being together for a lifetime"Shiesty answered and I nodded in agreement.

"Aight do you see a future?"

"Of course I do. I see us having another child, getting married, growing old together. Yeah"

"Yeah I see a future"Shiesty answered.

"What can I do to make our relationship better?"I read from the card.

"Shit quit being insecure"he said while looking at me.

"I'm not insecure though!"I said while getting loud because I fucking hate when he calls me this.

"Yea you is"

"Well then you need to stop doing the shit that you do!"

"You need to start being a grown woman and quit popping up wherever I'm at going crazy. Just cause I'm at the strip club around all these naked females don't mean I gotta fuck with em, you know that's my occupation and how I make my coin. I ain't there to get nobody number or fuck nobody that same night or any night! Shit I got you at home, I can call you up and tell you to pull up ion gotta interact with nobody else"

"Suhan are you listening?"Angela asked me as I stared at the clock.

"I hear him. You done?"I asked Lontrell as I looked at him.

"Yea but did you hear exactly what I said?"

"Yes I heard you! Now my turn...what you can do is stop putting your hands on me! When we argue, you don't have to touch me every time! We can have a civilized conversation or argument without things being thrown at one another or you touching me! Just like when I found out about Landon, we didn't argue. I didn't address you with no bullshit and vise versa. We had a decent conversation about the shit and went on about our day"

"Exactly so if you stop allat screaming, yelling, and pushing on a nigga when you address me then shit won't go downhill, but as soon as you do allat I'm bound to hurt ya feelings or even put my hands on you"

"Okay you're right"I said while nodding as I stared down at my shoes.

"Aight where do you see our relationship in five years?"he asked me.

"I see us happily married not letting anything or anybody come in between what we have and our family. I see us being two mature ass individuals who can handle problems being thrown at us that we can both solve as a married couple, learn from those problems, and move on from them"

"Yea same"he said while rubbing his eye and yawning.

"Do you know how much I love you?"

"Hell Yea, we to the moon and back with this love shit"he said answering for the both of us and I laughed.

"Aight last question, are we willing to make the changes needed?"

"Yes we are if we stop being childish and own up to our responsibilities"I answered.

"Hell yea we doing this for the kids not just us so as long as we remember who we doing it for then yea"

"No we're doing it for us too. I don't just wanna have a family with you and not an actual relationship with you as my husband or fiancé! I love you and I think that we can do it and we will make it in the long run"I said while smiling at him.

"Can I get a hug?"he asked me and I stood up before we gave each other a hug of what felt like five minutes.

"Can we kiss?"Shiesty's thirsty ass asked Angela.

"Go ahead, it's not my relationship"

He grabbed me by my jaw and kissed me.

I put my hands up on both sides of our faces hiding the sloppy kiss he gave me from Angela.

When we were done the session was over and we went our separate ways.
