《Actions Speak Louder Than Fortune Cookies》97 - Spill

It took a bit of time due to the need for a translator, but after four hours of tests, talking with various doctors, and some over the counter allergy medicine, Sebastian and Rylee signed discharge paperwork and were ready to head out the door.
Vertigo...Apparently a common symptom of fluid entering your sinuses, especially after a hit to the nose. The doctors also mentioned that this hit could have also aggravated the past injuries he had from his fall last year, making the area more sensitive.
Sebastian was told to spend the next few days relaxing in bed, lying flat. If he did stand up, he was to do it very slowly, so his brain could counteract the motion. The allergy medicine would be used to dry out his sinuses and he should be good in two or so days.
They double checked to make sure Sebastian's nose was alright as well, which, luckily it was. The swelling would go down in a few days both inside his nose as well as around his eyes. The black and blue was darker today, but the doctor said it always looks worse before it gets better.
Sebastian was in a wheelchair, holding an ice pack, luckily an actual one now, to his face as Rylee called them a car to head back to their hotel. She kept her hand on his shoulder, rubbing it gently, reassuringly.
When she saw the car pull up, she helped Sebastian stand up slowly, and carefully walked to the car. When they got there, she realized the driver didn't know any English, so she put up a finger, hoping it was the universal sign for one minute, and the man gave her a thumbs up.
She scurried back inside quickly and found a nurse at the front desk who graciously helped translate their situation and explained why he must drive slow. The man responded to the nurse and then, to her relief, gave Rylee another thumbs up.
——————————
Eventually they made it back to the hotel at around 4:00. Luckily, Sebastian survived the elevator ride this time, and both Sebastian and Rylee laid down in the bed, curled up together.
Rylee still felt completely awful about what happened. Sebastian could say over and over that it was fine and he was fine but deep down Rylee wasn't even close to agreeing with that truth.
Sebastian's eyes were closed but he could feel the tension radiating from Rylee, "Spill."
Rylee almost jumped at the word, they had sat in silence so long she almost thought he was asleep. But she still shied away from the statement, curling up closer into Sebastian's side.
"Ry..."
"I basically ruined the end of our vacation. We only have like three more days left and now you're stuck in bed."
"You didn' ruin anyding Rylee. Shid habbens. I'm sdill habby as can be. Here wid you...Engaged...More den habby."
Rylee tried to nod but instead felt her tears ready to flow.
"Ay. None ah dat. Come ere." Sebastian pulled her ever closer, playing lightly with her hair with one hand, the other on her hip.

"I love you." Sebastian whispered quietly in her hair, whisking her thoughts away.
"I love you." Rylee responded quietly in return.
"Godda say dough, disll be a funny sdory do dell our gids."
Rylee laughed at that. Sebastian always knew how to make everything better. When to crack jokes and when to be serious. He always had the perfect mix to make everything okay again.
"Our kids, hmm?" Rylee said, with a smirk.
"Mhm...a girl and a boy...mmm..two boys?"
Rylee scrunched her nose and made a face.
"We'll sdig with a girl and a boy for now." Sebastian scrunched his nose, "Fu- ow." He brought one of his hands to his nose, touching it gently.
"Good to know we've got the kids planned, now we've just gotta worry about the wedding." Rylee prodded Sebastian's side gently.
Sebastian laughed lightly, leaning over to gently kiss Rylee. He laid back down slowly head landing softly on the pillow behind him.
"I love you Ryles." Sebastian spoke quietly.
"I love you baby...can I get you anything? Water? Food?" Rylee sat up slowly as to not disturb the bed too much.
"Mm. Wader would be grayd." Sebastian spoke quietly again. He laid his ice pack gently across his nose and eyes, closing them.
Rylee nodded, though Sebastian didn't see it. She got up and padded out to the kitchenette to grab a bottle of water.
She came back a minute or so later, "I'm sorry, baby. We didn't have any in the fridge, this was in the pack on the counter-"
When she rounded the corner, she heard Sebastian snoring, much deeper and louder than usual. Poor thing couldn't breathe through his nose at all. Hopefully the swelling goes down sooner rather than later.
She put the water bottle on the side table and quietly left the room, flicking out the lights as she went.
——————————
Sebastian surprisingly stayed asleep for the remainder of the day, only stirring around 8 o'clock that night when Rylee woke him up to take the medicine he needed.
She also brought him crackers, knowing that medicine on an empty stomach doesn't always feel the greatest. She was surprised he ate them without a lecture about how he hadn't eaten yet today.
Rylee sat next to him on the bed and bent down to give him a careful kiss, pushing his hair back off his forehead, combing her fingers through it. Gosh his face almost physically hurt to look at. He looked like he'd been in a bar brawl. The black, blue, purple swirls of color under his eyes sunk deeper now, somehow creating a darker hue than earlier.
She continued gently massaging the top of his head, combing her fingers through his hair and was surprised after a few minutes that he fell back asleep. Vertigo must really wipe you out.
Rylee didn't want to move right away in case he wasn't in a deep sleep, so she decided to take out her phone and found a handful of missed messages from Alexa and Chris. Shit. That's never good.
💞
Hey, I don't know what time it is there or what's going on..But i just saw this article and wanted to see if everything was okay. Sebastian looks like shit if these pictures aren't photoshopped.

💞
Rylee. I think it's like 8 there. So you shouldn't be asleep. I'm worried.
💞
What's going on?
Hey Ry Bread, Seb won't answer me.
Is he okay? Are you okay? What's going on?
Lex found some article that sounded pretty brutal. Please call one of us.
Rylee decided to gently slip out of bed, left the room, and called Lex's cell, figuring that it was around two in the afternoon in New York, she should pick up.
Alexa picked up on the second ring, "Hey. Ry. What happened? Are you two okay?"
"I'm worried about what you've heard. I didn't get to read the article you sent me."
"Well, it's articles now. There's like four different stories buzzing around and most tabloids are saying it just happened and it was nasty."
"Well, if it's about his face, it's my fault."
"Excuse me?" Rylee heard Chris say in the background.
"You're on speaker by the way." Alexa commented after the fact.
"I had a nightmare about Michael last night when I was laying with Seb. He tried to wake me up, and in return, I punched him square in the face." Rylee stated matter of factly.
"So wait...you did that?" Chris intervened again.
"If you're referring to Sebastian's poor, rough looking face then yes. That was me. Believe me. I feel awful enough about it..." Rylee trailed off. She didn't need to defend herself to these two. These are two of the small handful of people she can trust.
"Are you okay?" Alexa asked gently.
"Yeah...I just feel awful about it. He was fine at night when it happened but when he went to get up the next morning he could barely stand. Turns out he got vertigo from it and it can allegedly plague you for a few days after your diagnosis.
"So he did go to the hospital?" Chris asked against.
"Yeah, for a few hours. Did they really find us there? Ugh." Rylee sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
She went into her messages and clicked the link that Lex had sent her earlier.

We have no idea what's going on, but today was crazy for Sebastian Stan. Our Italian affiliates saw Stan being taken into the hospital by his fiancé, Rylee Summers. Both Stan and Summers have been in Italy on, what has appeared to be vacation, and also an engagement trip.
But sources say Stan got into a fist fight with some people causing trouble in a Roman bar. They must have got a few hits in because Stan was seen walking into the hospital very slowly with what looked like a broken nose and a bruised and bloodied face.
Original reports from another source had said Stan had been mugged in an alleyway but these stories were quickly proven to be false.
We will stay on this story and keep you updated whenever we find out anymore information! Hopefully everything is okay! It looks like it hurts! Yikes!

"Rylee?"
She heard her name distantly, realizing it was Alexa. She forgot she didn't have the phone on speaker before she changed over to reading the article.
"Sorry, I was reading what you sent me. None of that is true in the slightest. Ugh." Rylee sighed, rubbing her face in frustration.
"We saw three other articles so far. One said he got drunk and got into a fight, another said he got mugged in some alley, and another was in Italian, but google translate gave us the gist that it said he got into a biking accident? So obviously, we got a little worried..." Alexa said.
"Yeah. No. Just me. Punching my fiancé in the face. No biggie." Rylee sat with her head in her hands, phone on the table in front of her.
"Rylee, it'll be fine. We're just glad you both are okay." Rylee heard Chris speak in the background.
Rylee nodded but forgot they couldn't see her, "Yeah...I feel awful that I basically butchered the last few days of our vacation."
"Eh, you still have like four more days...maybe Sebastian will feel better before then." Alexa tried to reassure her.
"Yeah, we'll see."
"Speak of the devil, look who's calling..." Chris spoke as he answered his phone and, Rylee assumed, left the room, as his voice disappeared.
"Hey, I'll call you later okay? I'm gonna go check on him since he's apparently up." Rylee commented.
"Okay, love yall. Bye."
"Love you too, bye!"
Rylee tucked her phone into her back pocket and made her way back to the bedroom where Sebastian was indeed awake, talking to Chris on FaceTime.
"Dude you look like utter dog shit."
"Wow. Tanks man. Appreciade id."
"But seriously, Ry Bread says you're all good though? Just bruises, swelling, and vertigo?"
Sebastian was going to nod, but didn't want to get dizzy so he answered, "Yeah, Rylee's god a mean righd hoog." Sebastian commented with a smirk as he saw Rylee walk in.
"Good to know. I won't pick any fights with her anytime soon." Chris laughed. "But, I can let you go if you aren't up for talking."
"Nah, for de firs dime in de lasd lige 24 hours, my head isn'd fugging reeling...so I'd radder dage advandage of id."
Rylee had come around the corner and heard what Sebastian was saying to Chris, relief flooding over her. She was glad to hear he was feeling even a smidge better.
She stepped in to the bedroom and planted a kiss on Sebastian's head.
"Hey, could you help me prop up?" Sebastian asked quietly.
Rylee quickly nodded and ran to grab him a few pillows, slowly helping him sit up just enough to put them under his head and shoulders, a 45 degree angle now.
"Tanks, baby." Sebastian stole a quick kiss from her and the boys continued talking, catching up with one another. Rylee grabbed one of her books and headed for the living room to let them chat in peace.
